The food is great, the fried artichoke hearts are AMAZING, the fish and chips is perfect, and the English breakfast is very well done. Their "BBC (Bangers, Beans and Chips)" is one of my favorites. Theyre flexible on how the food is prepared. The alcohol selection is huge, and the option of ciders, along with the beers, is a great thing. I LOVE the service! The waitress who usually waits on me greatest me an my ex like shed known us forever, even though it was the first time we had walked in to the place! I never have to wait to have someone greet me, and am re-visited several times during the meal. This, of course, encourages me to order more food and/or drink(s). Between the feeling of being family or a great friend, I LOVE this place! The view from the outside sitting area is wonderful, great for people-watching as well as watching and hearing the water, along with the pelicans

The most expensive food in town,short of Shadow Brooklyn and theyre worth it. NOBODY CHARGES $14.50 FOR ONE PIECE OF COD!! $3.25+TIP=$5 soda? GO TO CARPOS,ITS NOT NEAR THE PUBLIC RESTROOM AND US HALF THE PRICE FOR TWICE THE FOOD,FROM PEOPLE WHOM WANT TO STAY IN BUSINESS The bartender told me its what everyone charges...with his accent,I grew up here and until yesterday Stagnaros or Shadowbrook are only food worth that kind of money,he hasnt wiped bar down,restaurant was empty and Carpos was packed..had great lunch as always and spent extra money on my tip as they deserved it! Take care of those whom take care of you.

A friend keeps raving about this place and I finally checked it out. By luck k I hit it on a Tuesday when they have burger specials. A good burger is easy to find but this was a Great burger.....so good. My friend had fish and chips and was just as happy. We had so many fries I nearly took some home but worked on em till they were gone. A great selection of beers and a menu that would take a long time to completely read. A very large selection. The building is kind of California blah but the atmosphere is a touch of England....accents and attitudes. Great location right on the beach. I will go back.

Great location right next to the beach. Cute LITTLE outdoor section.usually crowded with tourists and a few locals. My problem with them is they promote themselves as a Irish/British pub... but not much British fare to be had. They do a Sheppards pie that is really cottage pie, a Cornish pasty that was just mince in a Bolognese sauce. The fish and chips was okay and the bangers and mash was also hard to do wrong. Prices were a bit high for what they were offering, but you have to pay for the premium location somehow.

Dropped in to grab some Authentic Fish n Chips, and we were Glad we did! WOW! The fish n chips came out Crispy, with a light beer-batter taste and the Chips were hot and Fluffy! They have a great drink selection, the pic shows a pint of Hefeweizen and the Lemontini was Legendary!! Nothing but Sweet Lemony Goodness! We went back a second time and on BOTH occasions, had Fun, Quick, Sharp Humored Waitresses! Definitely going back next time Im in the area!

It was my first time in Capitola. We decided to try Britannia Arms. My god, it was absolutely amazing. The best breakfast Ive had in a really long time. From the view, to the great decor this place is wonderful. The accents of the owner just added to the appeal even more and they both couldnt have been more pleasant. Definitely a must have in Capitola. I will be back, guaranteed!

A tourist spot to grab fish and chips and a pint. Authentic accents on the accommodating staff that always seems a bit hurried. Nice outside seats if they are available, but then youre probably eating with dogs. The food and drink (especially the beer) are over-priced because of the location. (3.5☆)

Discriminates against mexicans, took us 20 minutes to get our drinks. When I asked for the drinks the waitress acted clueless. She was very attentive to a white family sitting across from of us. You should post a sign if Mexicans are not allowed in your restaurant and we will not go.

We went in accidentally about a week ago and MY GOD did we make the right choice! We wanted to eat lightly and ordered bacon wrapped shrimp. ABSOLUTELY BEST EVER that Ive had. Perfect service and astounding views. Will definately go again, 5 out of 5.

Were pretty much regulars here. Walk here on Friday evenings and have a nice family dinner. What can I say. I love their BLTs and their very generous with the bacon. The atmosphere is great, service is good, and with a beautiful view of the ocean.

I think this is the newest of the Brits and when we were there not long after it opened we had great time. Capitola residents have voiced their approval at having a Brit open there and who am I to argue? Enjoy.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. I had some deep fried prawns with British style fries. It was pretty good! The waitress had a cool accent! We came at pretty busy time and had to wait a bit for our orders.

The best Brit runs the best pub. Always a worthwhile visit. Beer is better than the jokes and the jokes are good. Andy and his crew are always up for a bit of banter, too. Service is as good as it gets.
