Great happy hour food options and special of the day. Most happy hour food was $4-$6 and the special was $10. We got a French Dip sandwich that we split, which was a great portion for two people and pretty delicious. Drinks were also pretty reasonably priced for California. If I lived in Monterey, Id go there often! Its also very close to Fishermans Wharf and other historic sites, so its a good spot if youre cruising through town, hitting up the tourist destinations, and want a nice happy hour spot.

I really enjoyed it; food, beer, and the environment. We sat outside at one of the fire tables. The food was delicious, the beer was good enough to get distributed. I had the barrel aged cherry stout as well as the normal cherry stout. I preferred the normal one, it had a smoother flavor as well as a stronger chocolate flavor. Our server could have been moving quicker, and maybe more predictive, but we were in no hurry. Would recommend!

Beers and cocktails were good to very good. Food was not impressive. I had a calzone with less flavor than my morning eggs. He had the ribs, which were OK, but very fatty and the BBQ sauce wasnt great. The calamari appetizer was also bland, because they were large tentacles, not the rings. I did like the cheese curds, and the garlic chili aioli that came with them was awesome. Service was nice. Or server very knowledgeable.

We came in on a Friday and the wait was average of 20 minutes. We were sat at a booth and our server got to us quickly. Our party was attended to often and our server was amazing. He had a rather larger section too, but still was friendly, professional, and fast. We came in for drinks, and we ordered food as well. If you havent been before, get a flight of beer. You can try 5 choices of beer.

Very good beer. Good (not great) food. Prices are what you would expect at a hotel bar But the service is awful. We were ignored initially and then later when we wanted another beer. Then our waitress declared she was going on her 20 minute break. This place needs an on-site Manager who can manage lazy, chatty servers.

We went on a Sunday night and it was somewhat busy. Beers were good. I got the Stout, it was nice and smooth. My husband got a bacon cheeseburger that was excellent. I got the bavarian pretzel, which was also good. Nice place to sit and have a drink. 4 stars because the service was a bit slow. We would go again.

The food was awesome the beer was good but not exeptional. The service however was slow and unattentive. We would have had more drinks if only our server had made more check backs. We ended up going to the hostess to ask for our check and walking down the street to another bar to continue our evening.

My boyfriend Nd I were asking some people around the Portola hotel where we can get a good hamburger Nd they suggested everywhere but Peter Bs. We walked in Nd the employees were absolutely, pleasant. The Peter Bs hamburger w/ a regular bun was awesome. Very good place for a hamburger. Yummy!!!

We sat at the bar and received the most outstanding service. We enjoyed a Vietnamese Lamb Burger and salmon tacos. The meal was delicious. We enjoyed several tasty beers that included The Best Part of Waking Up Stout to Killer Dismount. Did I mention the service was amazing? It was!!!!

The beer tastes awful. Very metallic and taste more like soda water than beer. I ordered the Carl burger which emulates the western bacon burger from Carls Jr. Carls Jr does a better job. The service was mediocre at best. Not worth a quarter of what I paid. Over priced.

Fun place in interesting location. Normally not a huge wait if at all. Noisy enough that no one is bothered if one of the kids acts up a bit but I wouldnt say its too loud. The beer is fine and they often will have something on cask which is a treat.

Great brew house with an interesting idea of an ice bar. Food was good and service was quick. Would recommend if your are a tourist looking to hang with the locals. Learned a lot of interesting places to visit and do they saved me a lot of money.

The food here is basic but well executed. The beer is amazing! I would say this is the best place in town to grab a beer. The restaurant is large so there is outdoor seating, a bar area and booths in the back that are kid/family friendly.

The food is never great, but its not bad either. Its just pretty mediocre. Keep in mind that it IS a hotel restaurant. Honestly though, the beer is good. I do miss Thursday night tacos, but I guess they had to stop for some reason.

Its a bar with below average food and below average service. I went last week for a work get together. They only split the check 4 ways and refuse to figure out the split. Poor service all around. Will not return.

We ordered food for take out while staying in the hotel. We loved what we ordered and it was ready for pick up really quickly, considering how busy they were inside. Loved it! Would order from there again!

Great service. The salmon was fantastic, especially for the price. The raspberry wheat beer was really good. The pinot grigio was a bit sweet for my taste. Wonderful experience. Thank you.

Great little spot. A little walk if you are having to park in public parking but it has great beer selection, good service and ok food. A little greesy but they give you good portions.

Beer has improved radically! Just had a wild barrel stout and a sour red lager that were quite good. Nice sour balance - not a challenge to drink. Lovely colors - taste treats.

Staff was efficient even on game night. Appetizers were good but Chori burger melt was more charcoal melt. Asada fries would rate 3 out of 5 stars from a socal point of view.

Pretty good beers - loved when they used to bring the pitcher of hops to the Monterey Beer Festival - and OK pub-style food. Pretty good deal when using a Groupon.

The Bavarian pretzel paired with your favorite beer will give you life. Great staff, great atmosphere. If you can find it, you should definitely eat here!
