Waiter announced specials; wife and i each ordered "filet of sole"; 3 fish on menu were $30 or $32;I never inquired on price, since filet of sole is not a costly fish, especially compared to fish on menu; when bill came, $42 for each filet of sole. I thought sole would have been comparabel to other fish or less. The sole was just OK; they nicely deboned it at table side, but the irregular part they cut off was suspect. Ceasar salad was $12; thats OK, but it was some lettuce and cheese, not made or mixed at tableside. and NO anchovies; my wife asked waiter, he said, "Sure, I can bring you some anchovies" no mention of a side order (which would be code language for "youll be charged.". When bill came, $3 for anchovies. ive been to hundreds of Italian restaurants; and good ceasar salad comes with anchovies. On way out, I told maitred charging $3 was tacky; instead, he said some dont want anchovies so, they dont give them; I challenged $3 again, and he said something about that being the practice. This place is not a "customer is always right"; its pretentious and over-priced. Worse, is the attitude. Ive been here a half dozen times, this was the last time. It is a bit better at lunch.

This is my VERY first time to write review on yelp. I was at this place this late afternoon for my close friends birthday lunch. First of all, the experience was vry terrible. 1. Obvious racism (@Calabasas Branch) - I am Aisan and I was with my Aisan friends. Our server came to our table 2 times only. Cleaning staffs came to serve drink refills and stuff for the rest of time. Our server finally came one more time to giv us a check right after we finished our dishes. There were only 2 tables around us, actually it was pretty empty inside of hall since it was a little late lunch. He didnt welcome nor behave well. It was way too obvious racial prejudice. Even when we were leaving, nobody said Bye, Thank you nor Come again. Oh well. 2. Food - there was nothing special about it. Their starter menu and pizzaa were good. But as you know, which Italian Restaurant has bad starter / Pizza menus? Though their pizza was good, but could be more authentic and crispy. Their pasta menu was the worst. Maggianos must be better than this place. And their seafood dishes were very FISHY!

I LIKE THE PLACE, BEEN THERE SEVERAL TIMES. THE LAST TIME THE WAITER SAID "I CAN PUT YOU IN THE CORNER SO YOU CAN LICK THE BOWL YOUR DESSERT IS IN". HE WAS RUDE THE WHOLE TIME MY DAUGHTER AND I HAD LUNCH, WHICH BY THE WAY WITH WINE , DESSERT, ETC WAS JUST SHORT OF $300.00.

Been to the Commons at Calabasas sooo many times its not even funny but last week was the first time I ate at this restaurant and I must say that it was the best pasta Ive had in a while and I love Italian. Good portions and very professional staff #Shrimpscampi

Dined on the open patio in the Calabasas, CA location-very congested. Food was good but quantity per order is very small. Felt this restaurant is a rip off compared to other similar Italian restaurants in the valley. Will not revisit again.

The staff which I came into contact with are rude and racist. They hate middle easterns people and think every middle eastern is Muslim. I will never go to this resturant again when I asked to talk to a manager Noone came.

Love this place. The steaks are great and the ambiance is beautiful. The server was very friendly and the small nature of the dining room makes for an intimate experience. This place is classy without being stuffy.

Tosconova is Delicious for brunch lunch or dinner. Food is excellent and not over salted. All ingredients are fresh with an array of items on their menu. The staff is super friendly and always welcoming and fun.

Best lobster bisque I have ever had today and the veal pasta with wild mushrooms was divine. Everyone was friendly and kind. I will bring clients back there!
