Was looking for an Asian food place since I was staying over a night nearby the airport. Drove there after seeing some comments posted and also was nearby where I stayed. Above all, food is very good and authentic. Some comments complain about their service but Id think it is typical with Chinese (and other Asian) restaurants that they are not deliberately trying to be friendly but just work hard. I had no issues at all. If you love good (not fancy) Chinese food, youll like it here. I will definitely go back again when I stay a night over nearby the airport during travel as I dont live in SF.

Last year I traveled in over 15 countries and yet I can tell you, Five As remains my favorite Asian restaurant on Earth so far. The food is really awesome, you can try everything, even the weirdest dishes, its all good, fresh and tasty. The restaurant is always packed with Chinese people, which confirms that they really make great Asian food. The service is great, always fast, even during rush hours, and the prices are dirt cheap. The restaurant is a short walk away from the Millbrae station, making it a must-stop when youre on your way to/from the SFO airport.

I had two dishes from this place. The 1st tasted like water. The second tasted like salt. I appreciate the fact that they dont use MSG, but they seem to have taken this philosophy to the extreme and abandoned seasonings altogether. Even on my worst cooking day, I dont know if Id be able to banish the flavor from each ingredient with quite the same facility that this place displays. The lunch special portions are decent for the price, though, so I gave them two stars. An okay deal if you have no interest in tasting your food.

Recommend this place. The Chinese food here is authentic and good but not creative or interesting. Service is fast and friendly. Most of the staff here recognizes me as I am a regular. The ambiance and decor is nondescript. Its a casual restaurant and you come here for good Chinese food.

Very nice place, can enter from either side, very fast pickup option. Most hard part to order is to say your phone number, I called them often and each time need to say my number, would love to hear one day "hi Viktor" what you d like to order). I think it easy to implement these days.

Five As Cafe has some dishes that are spicy such as the mongolian beef. Since I am pregnant and trying to stay away from MSG, this is one of a handful of chinese restaurants that I can eat at confidently. I like that the kitchen is open, so that customers can watch the chefs cook.

Welcoming staff that are interested in helping you. The food is delicious especially if you like Adobe authentic flavors. The mapo tofu and braised eggplant are personal favorites and the veggie dumplings are delicious. The staff is very good with vegetarian and vegan offerings.

I enjoy the authenticity of the food and the accommodating staff very much. Like many places, I find there are hits and misses in their menu but my favorites include their vegetarian dumplings, ma po tofu (ordered extra spicy) and their Szechuan eggplant (ordered extra spicy).

The food is pretty good, but the service is awful. The waitresses are very rude. Also, the rice tastes like it was made with dirty cloth water!!! But otherwise, the food was quite good. The atmosphere was alright, mostly clean. They only had two other customers besides us.

We will never eat here again. The water glasses were dirty with lip stick and the water itself tasted like it was from a dirty sink. The noodles were watery and Mongolian beef dish was not good!!! The staff was rude too.

Pretty good Chinese/Taiwanese food. Get the dumplings, beef noodle soup or other standard northern chinese fares. On weekends they have a very good breakfast menu - sweet/salty rice rolls, hot soybean milk.

I get lunch here quite often. The food is good and priced right. Service is sometimes a little off, but thats usually when theyre busy. Try the House specials. Recommend.
