Finally got to try Taste in the Mediterranean food. As a Lebanese, I have been disappointed with "Mediterranean" food in the area in general. But this place was as close as it gets to my homeland food. Got the fried kibbi, that comes 2 pcs with baba ghanouj and a delicious mediterranean style slaw. The kibbi were actually quite good so were the baba ghanouj and slaw. But the dish is a bit expensive overall. 6 something dollars for just 2 pieces.. Also got the falafel wrap and the chicken shawarma. The falafel was really good, even though it was not exactly like home, missing the pickled turnip and pickles hot peppers, but it was quite tasty. One of the few places that actually uses tahini sauce. It was really a treat. Took me back home. As for the shawarma, the chicken itself taste great, but it was dry. The garlic was too strong even for a Lebanese. It was not the same lebanese garlic sauce but more of crushed garlic sauce which made it overwhelming. But overall good but I would ask next time for less garlic. As for desert, I tried the cheese honey cake (cheese nammoura) which is their take on traditional nammoura. Gotta admit even though I am not a big fan of nammoura, I quite enjoyed it. It was really tasty and not super sweet. Just perfect. Overall, the food here is really good and as close as it gets to real "fast-food" Mediterranean food. The only negative is that the prices are a bit high in general for that type of food, but the portions are decent.

First visit to this quaint mom and pop place. Ordered a lentil soup and the lamb meatball special which came with rice, beans, hummus, salad and pita bread. Unfortunately, the meatball was dry and tough; difficult to cut with a fork. Meatballs IMO should always be fork tender. Good meatballs are juicy as well. So this felt like a miss on their part. I didnt love them. The beans were tasty and flavorful with a nice tang from the tomatoes. The hummus was a star on the plate - rich and creamy. Just top notch. Just the right amount of garlic as well - meaning, they dont clobber you over the head with it but you get the perfume of garlic on your palate. The lentil soup was tasty and well seasoned. A note to those who dont typically order lentil soup at Mediterranean restaurants. They typically use red lentils and in this case the soup is puréed. So the texture is smooth vs a brothy soup with brown lentils in it. I love soup and I love lentils and I loved this lentil soup!

Halal meat is served here. Verbal assurance from staff that all the meat is Halal. Went here recently for a late lunch with 2 friends. We had the mediterranean meat sampler plate, appetizer sampler plate and fatoosh salad. The presentation was nice, but unfortunately the food was average. It was a little on the bland side. We also tried the lemon mint drink which was pretty good (made with fresh lemon and mint into a slushy drink). The service was friendly. The prices were a little on the high side, but expected considering the area.

Great place for hummus. They literally have the best hummus I have eaten within 20 mins of their location. My favorites are the chicken kabob platter and the sharwma wraps. The wraps are the best value. The other dishes are good but dont measure up to the wraps and hummus. Prices are moderate so expect to pay 10 at the cheapest and most likely about 20 a person. Specials are OK but chicken leg special last time was especially salty.

My husband and I LOVE the falafel sandwiches. We have started getting them once a week because we crave them! They are so tasty...and if you like spice, make sure to get the hot sauce inside! Weve also tried the tabouleh which is so tangy and delicious with olive oil added on top. The staff is always so friendly. Im so glad its on Broadway and on my way home from work!

Good food at reasonable prices. Really enjoyed a vegetarian platter with six items, including a grilled eggplant dish and cauliflower stew! Lots of food - enough for two, plus some to bring home. About the ambiance - seating was uncomfortably tight. Even though it was the middle of the week, it was very crowded. Will definitely return.

Delicious Mediterranean spot, one of the few, in the peninsula area. Falafel, shawarma, and chicken tawook is good. Baklava is also good. Owner is friendly and very courteous. Weve come back several times because its delicious and close to us. One star off because slightly pricey for modest portions but I eat way more than most.

The food here is amazing, one of the best Lebanese restaurants in the Bay Area. The meat is well flavored and tender and all the sides are delicious. My only problem is with the slow service. Always find having to wait a long time for takeout, though according to other reviews that doesnt seem to be an issue with dine-ins.

my wife and I love this place. food is perfect and light. we get the 5 item combo since we are light eaters and share it. yesterday we had it with eggplant stew, lamb gyro meat, lentil tabouli salad, regular tabouli salad, and dolmas. outstanding. took it to the pool and enjoyed with champagne. perfect beautiful day.

A must visit middle eastern restaurant if you are in the Burlingame area near San Francisco . I order the Lamb Shawarma wrap and a side of falafel. The shawarma was out of this world. Authentic as you can get in this part of the world. The meat was very tender and fresh. Excellent fresh falafel.

Outside of Dearborn Michigan, which has a large middle eastern population, this is the best middle eastern food Ive had. Everything was delicious and authentic. I recommend getting the mixed grilled kabob platter, youre bound to find at least one or two things you love on that plate.

I came here while visiting from Florida and this is by far the best Mediterranean food Ive ever had. Anything with lamb is unbelievable and the owner was friendly and gave our party complimentary gourmet dessert sweet tea. If youre near Burlinggame, stop by!

Very plain restaurant to look, at but really excellent food at great prices. You order at the counter which is odd (having sat at your table to read the menu) but if it helps keep costs down Im all for it. Try the mint lemonade, made fresh once you order.

Went on a limb to try this place out with a couple of friend from LA. We got a bit of everything and it was still under $16 per person. All of their meat dishes deliciously prepared and not to mention the wide range of dips (hummus, tzatziki, etc.).

Excellent Mediterranean food. I ordered the chicken kabob plate and had some falafel. Both were excellent, and the hummus and cabbage salad that came with them were great as well. No complaints, and I cant wait to go back with friends and eat there.
