I came in here at 1:30pm today with my mother in law. We were seated right away. However, we waited for 10 minutes for any waiter or anything to come. There were waiters running around, and also there was a bartender, a hostess or two, a chef, managers, etc. about 8 people just standing around who obviously saw us both looking around, not looking at the menu. At the 10 minute mark of waiting, I started looking around and making wtf faces at the staff. To no avail. Funniest thing was there was a couple at a table 10 feet from us and a waitress came to them twice in the 15 minutes we waited. Just an oversight Im sure, but get a clue people! - at least bring us water or take our drink orders.

Tonights dinner goes down as one of the best dinners Ive ever had. It was my wife and Is first time there and the service was so good, so professional, I thought wed stumble upon a night where some mysterious food critic was to be expected so everyone was in top form. Nope, no pretending there. Every single person was responsive, courteous and genuine. The food, the food! Every course was carefully prepared and extremely flavorful. Some might consider the restaurant expensive. I think with the great service and delicious meals, the customer gets a bargain!

Chicory salad I ate every single leaf- the sharpness of blue cheese blends well with the cloying caramelised roasted walnuts. Pork belly dish was average/ boring, has nothing on Chinese pork belly. New York strip was disappointing, the dressing of pumpkin paste and other leaves which I have since forgotten did not go well so I undressed the steak. The cut of meat wasnt the best - some tendons in the middle. Steak had a nice char at least. Dessert of brownie not good; was too doughy and chocolate was run of the mill quality.

Many great meals in the past but not any more. First of all, if a fixed price menu is the only thing n offered, they should mention it when the reservation is being made or when they call you back to confirm. More imoortantly, the chief seems to love really complex food. Complex in a longer than necessary ingredient list sort of a way. Over complicated may be a better description.. The food is like the scene in love actually where Mr bean is wrapping the necklace. Dude, more is not always more.

Ordered the steak and eggs the eggs I ordered over medium well and they were perfect, potatoes also very good , the salad that came with it was dry and I was not offered dressing for it.the steak was a ribeye very very fatty not cooked uniformly I ordered medium rare came back medium to rare. was not offered water, had to seek Coffee refills

Spectacular views of the Pacific from their delightful outdoor patio area makes for a tranquil way to relax, unwind, and enjoy a tasty meal. The service could be improved, but the prices are surprisingly reasonable and the relaxed vibe and unparalleled views make this a must-visit stop if youre in Big Sur.

Great views and food to match. You wont go wrong with the Big Sur burger, and the falafel pita is great too if youre looking for healthier fair. If youre looking for a quiet and scenic lunch spot, this is definitely worth a stop. Nepenthe, by comparison, was overrun with people and had 1hr wait.

Had a wonderful breakfast here before a long hike in Andrew Molera State Park. The restaurant is beautiful with interesting art on the walls. The views of Big Sur are classic. It was our favorite breakfast while on vacation.

The view is spectacular. We enjoyed our meal at their beautiful outdoor patio. Their ahi tuna burger had the same consistency and taste of a regular tuna fish sandwich. They could definitely improve that creation.
