Great service and food! We were immediately sat at a comfy booth and met with our great waiter. Apparently it was his last day of training but he was more than qualified to be working there. I wish I remembered his name! I loved the culture of the food. Simple menu and simple ingredients. It was a very "farm to table" restaurant with a nice dining atmosphere. My boyfriend and I had the shrimp and grits with the biscuit and gravy as well as the sausage and peppers with home fries. The best on our table was the shrimp and grits. So flavorful and the texture of everything together was perfect. The sausage and peppers came with mushroom with melted cheese and two eggs any style. Sausage was very good! Home style fries were fun to eat and the right texture. However the biscuit was dry and crumbly and definitely needed the gravy to help fix that. Otherwise whenever Im back in the area Ill consider this place for breakfast!

The food tasted okay. Nothing special. Quite loud place, difficult to have a conversation. Our waitress did a good job and was very nice! What really brings the rating down though, is that the waitress at the entrance let us believe that we would have to wait for about 5 minutes to get a table. After 10 minutes we decided to leave since we were on a tight schedule but then she, once more, told us that it would only be 5 more minutes. About 40 minutes after we arrived, we got our seats. This is unacceptable! Just tell us up front that it will take a lot of time so that we can decide on our own if we have the time to wait or not. This really messed up with our busy schedule.

This place is fantastic , awesome. The food is dynamite. Been going for over a yr now and the food is better and better. My wife had the chilequilles and they were thee best. Awesome. The fried biscuits and gravy are excellent. The biscuits are so moist. The atmosphere is great. Music playing. The owner/ master chef comes out and talks with everyone. He even clears dishes. The only downfall is you have to wait for this awesomeness. The line gets long , the place is not big. Intimate setting and one damn good breakfast makes me give this place a 10/10. Seriously folks you wont find a nicer friendlier place to have breakfast at.

best breakfast around, i highly doubt it, unless they are referring to just that one block they are on. the atmosphere was okay, people got too damn loud, almost felt as if i was in a rodeo, but just in a more confined place. the food wasnt as great as these false reviews claimed them to be. i was very disappointed. they have a small list of items on their menu. maybe its because theyre fairly new to the food game, but who knows, maybe they can improve on their selection of items. not everything was bad, just not enough flavor and the same ol thing you can find at any other burger joint.

Not only is the food frsh & delicious. But the staff are compatant, friendly and on the ball. Management really cares about there customers. Do yourself a big favor and try it for yourself. Thanks Antonio I also feel the need to comment on the last review for Joe stating that you can find the same thing at (any other burger joint) The Nest has nothing in common with a burger joint. I didnt think they even serve a burger. I wish they did because it would probly be unbelievable. There menu is small but very unique item to choose from & what they do they really do right

You know that place you reach every now and then when you have had a meal that completely satisfies and your neither hungry or full? I found it here. I went with the Bacon Waffle, one Fried Biscuit and Gravy, and Grits. It was served lightning fast, and I tried not to eat equally as fast. Two bites into each I decided I was only eating half because I didnt want the wife to miss this food. If you are a fan of Grits, dont miss these. The coffee is delicious. I cant remember the name, but the beans are roasted at some guys house in Compton. Dont miss this food!

The service is always great and the food is always delicious. I typically order the egg sandwich, and for my small plate I order the biscuits and gravy. If Imake ever in the area this is my go-to spot for breakfast/brunch. At least one of the owners is always there and theye are continuously moving from table-to-table to make sure everyone is enjoying their food and that the service is good. If you express a concern they handle it immediately and will usually give you a gift card for a free small plate. I just love this place and the people that work there.

Theres not many breakfast spots like this left kind of an art this is a great place to go and eat expect a little bit of a wait unless you like the bar, upfront and personal I say. To sit at the bar where we set you get to smell all the good food that passes by while youre waiting for your order when your food comes and it tastes and smells even better than that. The place was really clean too everybody was cleaning everything while they were serving the customers. The environment was great.

I love eating at The Nest! There is always a line, and for good reason. You will find the most inventive and unique breakfast items anywhere at The Nest. Best of the lot is the short rib hash with sweet potatoes! It will change your life! One thing that I had for the first time there was fried biscuits, not baked, FRIED! The difference is suttle but mind blowing! My advise to get the most out of a meal there is to try as many of the small plates as your stomach can handle.

We decided since i am new to the area to try something new and not your typical chain breakfast. Honestly, I am not really a breakfast person. Loved my breakfast....got chilaquiles and it was amazing. Great portion and great staff. My daughters ordered fried biscuit and sausage gravy and it came with 3 full biscuits and gravy and 2 eggs. It is so much food and so tasty. You have to try this amazing little joint. Excellent experience. Will be back.

OMG, best French Toast Ive ever had! The Brioche was nicely topped with strawberries, honey and hint of jasmine. My friend loved her Veggie Scrambled eggs. Was her first having it with kale. It went well and dishes were on point. Everything was fresh and simple. A truly amazing "Breakfast Joint"! The restaurant is nicely done. Like a cozy Log Cabin up in the mountains. This is my new go to breakfast place when around these parts. :)

This place is killer. I was completely shocked when best friend said lets meet here. At first i was thinking, "meet in Bellflower?" Then I walked in and there was a Bay area vibe. Then they waitress came to get our drink menu and she had a little personality which was great as I work in service as well. The food came fast and boy was it delicious!!!!!!!!! Seriously, I already know what I want to try next time. Thank you NEST!
