Ive been to plenty of Buffets, this one... has a lot of room for improvement. I went there as part of a field trip with my school. They did a good job of handling our rather large group. The staff was hot or cold. The hostess was very friendly and so was one of the waitresses that commutes from Sea Isle! Some of the staff that was refilling food and/or carving items not so cheerful. Food was of a fairly good temperature. I liked the wide array of items but you really had to pick and choose what you got because some food looked and tasted homemade but a large portion of the food seemed like it was out of a can or precooked and just heated through. The desserts were a highlight of the meal. They seemed fresher and made with more care compared to most of the other things. Some dude was walking around making balloon animals and doing some magic tricks. Not sure if this is a normal thing or just something they do on Thursdays or if they know a large group in coming in. If they get some of the quality in check I can definitely see us returning. I will say most of the students (with less refined pallets) seemed to enjoy all the food. However a few students asked with a pleading look on their face if we are going to stop there again on our next trip to NYC.

No se q a pasado con este lugar,siempre era muy limpio,y mucha variedad de comida,pero ahora todo estaba muy mal,la comida la igiene, algo pasó que ya no esta rica la comida tiene diferente sabor, no lo recomiendo pero ojalá vuelva a ser como un día lo fue,

Hometown Buffet Known for their cheap prices, it is overall a great franchise but eating at this particular location it is very unsatisfying! The crowd is rude, filled with running children and the employees seem not to care, no regulations whatsoever! The utensils are 40% clean The food overall is good and delicious but its preferable to go out, buy your food and make it. If u had ti option to pick your home or this joint, I suggest you pick your home, and not deal with annoying children, deadbeat parents, and staff that doesnt care

Muy buen servicio excelente personal y cualquier opinión que esté fuera de lo normal es porque las mismas personas nos merecemos tenemos años de acudir a este bufet y es de lo mejor ya que a mi familia y en lo personal nos gusta mucho la comida y la atención

Veces no hay cubiertos ,platos veces tardan en poner todos los utensilios tardan en quitar los trastes sucios los trabajadores no están bien entrenados niños corriendo agarrando comida atención padres d familia los niños no dejan agarrar comida

Went today to take my family to eat....In the 90s this place was wonderful,clean,and fresh food. Now the restrooms are falling apart,its smells really bad in the salad area. It needs remodeling with new management . The food is average I believe there standards have turned into very low options for customer with high prices. The two stars are for friendly staff. Hopefully they get it together it would be sad to see them close have lots of memories here .

This place used to great, I would come here all the time before but now I wont be coming back. They have a fly infestation. Tiny little fruit flies are bugging you the whole time getting in your food and drinks. They say its because the place next door was a restaurant and they just closed down but theyre restrooms are very dirty as well and at the carving station I saw cold meat just sitting there not being heated or served or anything.

No tienen bebidas ni suficiente comida también preguntamos x popotes y que no tenían y también las no recogen los platos sucios hasta que terminas y todavía cobran precio completo no lo recomiendo para nada

Si pudiera le diera 0 estrellas no sirve carisimo por 2 adultos con bebida 39 dolares y aparte nada bueno de comer y la unica carne q tenian dura sin sabor mejor ni lo visiten es un asco

This is the worst hometown Ive ever been to..workers dont know nothing they ask each other and act clueless when u ask for something...workers in blue and also in the white shirts give u the run around and dirty...........I gave it another chance 10/12/13....they got even more worse 12/8/14.....Dang came back to give it another chance and once again am very dissapointed

Couple of months ago the food tasted old.... However, I came back again and it was the bomb. It seems that they change manager or something because everything was good. also it was getting emptier everyday couple of months ago, but this time that I went it was pretty pack on a weekday... Im glad they getting better

I dont know how they can called it a buffet when there is no food at all i went with my family after Christmas and i was disappointed i had to get my 80 dollars back i went to this Chinese spot on Slauson and atlantic write next to this see food restaurant and food was delicious and payed onley 38 dollars

Nasty food has no flavor. Horrible service they never even checked up on us once. They would run out of food and we would have to wait 20 minutes for another serving just for it to be horrible. They can not even maintain it clean. HomeTown buffet is a great place but this particular location is horrible.

Ok this is my second time in this place first time they had no cups or coffee we waited for 15min for cups n many fruit flies. This is my second time in this place n sticky floor no soda or coffe only water no dessert and fruit flies again management sucks. never cooking here again!!

The best hometown in the low angeles county. Always helpful and happy servers. Always clean. The food in the bars are always hot and the cooks have a special seasoning which is amazing. Best if all Ari and Isabel are always there to greet us when we dine in. Great place for parties.
