My fiancé and I are new to the area and for the last three months I had been intrigued by how many cars are packed in Hokkaidos parking lot. I thought to myself...they must have an awesome buffet there. So, to my surprise my fiancé took me there to eat lunch this passed Tuesday. When we pulled in to park we recognized how dilapidated the building and landscaping looked. That should have been a warning to me, but I kept in mind how jam packed this place gets. So, we went in. Honestly, the interior decor and setting could use some work. Anyways, we went to the buffet and picked up some plates. The first 3 plates I picked up had food still stuck to them and the fourth plate was chipped on the edge. I selected my favorite sushi and a few others to try. I also added some edamame. Unfortunately, even though the fish had no bad odor, they lacked flavor. Now how is that possible? And the sashimi salmon was grissly and lacked that buttery texture... I do not know how else to describe it. Since you can be charged for not eating the food you take, I tried to eat it, but it all ended up in napkins. So, I tried other items. Here is the run down. The pork niblet thing - yuck, BBQ pork bun - so so, corn on the cob - mushy burnt - yuk, cheese wonton - yuk, sesame balls - yummy, spring roll - so so, sushi roll with cream cheese made the so so list because the cream cheese tasted good, fried banana - yummy, chocolate and strawberry moose - ended up in another napkin, but I thought the little deposable plastic square containers were cute and took those home. Anyways, I believe 80% of the food sadly ended up in napkins. My fiancé did not enjoy his food either. I really was expecting better quality in food. On the upside, the staff provided good service. This was at the restaurant on Cherry St. in Long Beach.

WORST, let me repeat, WORST buffet I have ever been too. HANDS DOWN - CRAP. Tricked by a Groupon Deal; came for dinner on a Saturday. $29 groupon + $4 tax... $33 wasted. FOOD: Food is so bad, worst than Hometown Buffet. WORST than Panda Express - fried rice was crap; soup was crap - NO SASHIMI... California rolls and CALIFORNIA ROLLS.. WTF.. it was so nasty... desserts were trash, probably about to expired and on-sale at the local wholesaler.. bit into a cream puff; was not edible. I cannot stress this enough, this place is worst than your local China Buffet that charges $7.99 for dinner - if you want shitty Chinese food, go to a shitty Chinese Buffet (dont waste your time here). SERVICE: Non-existent, everyone who works here looks like they want to kill themselves. No one smiled. We were seated, lady said she would get us a high chair for our toddler and our two iced teas. We went to get food and came back.. started eating... 5minutes... 10minutes.. NO DRINKS, NO HIGH CHAIR... F-this.. went and got my own high chair. Was about to walk into the employee area to get my own drinks when server said no.. Ill get that for you... had to go back up there 2x to get re-fills... at least no one will come bother you if that is what you are looking for... OVERALL: For $33... you literally can go to Panda Express and get 10x better food. Microwave Chinese food is better than this crap. PLEASE PLEASE save your money and dont waste it on this crap.

It was good food with drink refill service. Everything was fine until the end when we were trying to pay and theyfirst gave us the wrong check. Then they completely took advantage of our group of 16 trying to split the bill and tried to unknowingly steal $20 of our change. Which we figured out and the cashier couldnt do the math and kept disagreeing. Then the manager decided to put in his two cents after 10 minutes of arguing with the cashier saying why didnt we say something sooner. They knew they were wrong because he finally agreed to give us $10. They wouldnt give us enough ones to split have change for splitting our bill. So if you have a big group bring enough ones do they wont rip you off! The heat was on and it was burning up in there and hard to breathe. We had to ask for air a couple times. The toilet in the bathroom was leaking everywhere. We were celebrating a couple birthdays in our group so the uncooperative ears at the end of the night was not great. There are 5+ large tables near the side and they sat a large group of 10 right next to us instead of spreading us out so were bumping chairs and just way too close. It was a fun time until the end and it wasy first time so I can say I will not be back.

I only come here mainly for the seafood and crab. The last four times Ive taken my family here to eat the service was mediocre at best. There is always a shortage of the steamed snow crab legs due to large families of greedy horders loading their plates to falling over, leaving little to no crab legs for others, and they constantly hover and shove in front of you. Another problem its that they stopped serving the stir fried crab clusters that used to be next to the snow crab legs, now is just nasty dry potato wedges. The strawberries in the desert section are either unripe or all gone every single time i last visited, the children go unsupervised playing in the chocolate fountain and making messes. The rest of the food is sub par for the $20(incld taxes) they are charging per person for dinner and weekends, it seems like they let the food items sit for a long time, especially if its not an item being eaten very fast, Ive noticed the shrimps and scallops being a bit chewy and over done. The bathrooms need a remodel, again children left unchecked playing in the stalls and in the sinks making a mess. If there is a next time of me going here to eat i will surely take pictures. They might not like that.

I am giving this establishment a one star rating and heres why. First, the food was subpar. I came in for dinner buffet and the only thing I took a liking to was the dessert and the sashimi sushi. The seasonings were off balance and the crab was served cold. The Customer service was just as bad. I ordered their white peach sake but the taste did not appeal to me so I asked the waitress for their lychee flavored sake (told her I didnt care if the still charged for the first drink). She says okay but comes back with a grapefruit flavored sake. I tried to tracked her down and after 10 mins, I was finally able to get a hold of her. When I told her she brought me the wrong drink, she tells me "Oh yes we dont care the lychee flavor sake anymore. We serve the grapefruit flavor instead." I asked her why she didnt inform me of that in the beginning but she had no answer. During the whole time at this establishment, we couldnt get our waitress back to our table for 30 mins but had to ask other waiters assigned to other tables, the whole experience was nothing like I remembered from 6 months ago. I was very disappointed and left hungry.
