Ive been to Kirin twice now, and both times I left feeling pretty satisfied with my visit. The food is primarily catered to Asians, as there are lots of dishes that you can find at a Chinese restaurant. But I feel Kirin tries to expand their dishes to have that Western flair, but in the end it pretty much fails and ends up being Western dishes with a Chinese touch. However, most of the things that I have tried are pretty good! A few of my favorites: -Teppanyaki styled grill where you gather . ingredients and the amount of noodles you want, and the chef cooks it on the grill for you (similar to Great Khans). I tried the steak and the salmon from the grill station and both were really good after the chef cooked them for me. I personally really liked the flavor of the noodles and the other ingredients! -Udon/ramen that the chefs make and put in special bowls. They taste really good, especially the udon noodles. -Honey glazed shrimp; not as good as Tasty Garden, but the sauce and flavor were good and the shrimp had a nice crunch to it. -Prime rib wasnt too bad. A little dry. -Chicken wings were good! They grill them next to the teppanyaki station. Lots of flavor! -Asian vegetables -Egg tarts -Crème brulee -Japanese seaweed -Turtle soup (or some Asian delicacy which doesnt really use that particular animal ... but it tasted good!) -Fruits Stay away from: -Sushi (not too fresh) -Oysters did not taste good. -Crab legs .. meh -The little cakes and pastries werent too tasty. The prices are a little costly, so I personally wouldnt come to eat for dinner on the weekends or holidays. They can fit a lot of people into the restaurant, and they do get pretty busy on holidays and weekends. Overall, a pretty decent buffet if youre coming to catch up with family or have a big party.

Save your money! I dont recommend this place. I would give it Zero! stars.The place is dirty, the booth seats had rice, the table was smeared & the silver ware was dirty. I used the disposable chopsticks instead. The food is bearable and very low on selections. I was at the mall Christmas shopping and decided to check it out. We ordered our drinks and went to choose our food. Before I could sit down the manager David Zhang was asking me to pay cash. He made an excuse that his card terminal was not working & asked me to pay cash before having a seat. I paid the cash & literally not 2 minutes later he said he fixed the terminal. Impossible! I was looking right at him seating other patrons. If you didnt look Asian he asked you before getting settled in. We witnessed him do the same thing serval times only to people who didnt look Asian. A group even stormed out outraged. No wonder the place was empty when we got there. I was tempted not to leave a tip but I opted to stay true to myself and show some class. I didnt want to stoop to his level. Racism is not acceptable!

The place was okay but the waiters/waitresses were snob, no napkins on the table, and no pizza! We went there on a Friday, dinner time and they dont refill the foods right away, it looks like theyre leftovers from lunch time. The only thing I like there is the mochi ice cream, hence the one star. It costs around $23-25 and its so not worth it!

Buffet restaurant with good selection of sushi, sashimi & other dishes. Price reasonable. Service staff is pretty standard buffet style: polite & fairly attentive. Sushi & sashimi are fresher than other buffets I had. Other dishes are pretty good. The green tea ice cream mochi is good.

I dont get it why Yelp has less positive review but Kirin Buffet is my best buffet so far, seafood are fresh, Chinese food are Authentic, of course Sushi is totally amazing... the most important is they have hand roll. After meal I can just shop in the mall and take some walks.

One of the better buffet restaurants in the area. Lots of choices with reasonable prices. They have Champagne Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30am - 4pm. 50% on Sake and beers from 3pm - 6pm M-F. Dont forget to try their desserts too.

Not what I expected. The food had a distinct taste which I did not like. Theres alot of selections. The crab legs is located in the front of the restaurant window which was hard to find if you didnt ask for it.

Not worth it. $21.95 per person. Re-use sushi rice, small selection. Go to food court, if you want something fancy go to Cheesecake Factory or Benihana. Look at my salmon skin hand roll, its junk.

I would have given higher score if not for the flat FLAT beer. Contrary to the brand name of Karin, they serve FLAT FLAT FLAT beer! Just get the food but dont order the FLAT FLAT FLAT beer!!!

The employees are rude, the food does not taste fresh. Less selections. Id rather chose Zen Buffet than this one. Bad for children birthdays! Wish there were 0 stars!!
