Beware!! This place is not the Mexican food stop people keep confusing it with! The 4-5 star reviews on here are for a different spot!! Canyon Cafe is terrible. We have tried both breakfast and dinner here and its all really, really, really bad. Breakfast food was mostly burned or under cooked. Sausage gravy was basically just flour and milk. Biscuits had been microwaved for sure. Chicken fried steak was the worst Ive ever tried... Seriously... The worst. Im including frozen TV dinners in that and theirs was still worse. The fact that it was almost 14 bucks is insane. It wasnt worth 5. I would take a Swanson TV dinner over that trash any day and Im being nice. AVOID!

Excellent food in a traditional old time cafe. The interior could use a sprucing up but you wont even notice when you are enjoying the food! We came for breakfast and were surprised at the quality and portion sizes. Trisha was our wait staff and she treated us very well. This appeared to be a locals favorite as most were welcomed upon entry and addressed by their first names.

I think this place is a Mexican restaurant now. 3945 broadway st is Tacos Michoacan. Great enchiladas. Tasty chicken. Fresh cheese. Spicey red sauce. Green avail too. Enjoy close to home Mexican food. My new favorite place to eat when visiting . :)

Each time I have gone to the Cafe it is a nice warm experience. It has a "down home" atmosphere...employees nice and welcoming. Standard fare...comfort food..all great. My teen grandson loves it. To me, that is an A-One review!
