Horrible service Mediocre food This place is always hit and miss. Some days they are great, most days they are horrible. There food is OK and thats being generous. The service can be great or suck there is no in between. Service means a lot to me and sometimes I willing to overlook the quality of the food if the service is better than average, not today. Sat outside after going in and telling them I was outside. 15 minutes later coffee with no cream and sugar, waited another 15 minutes before asking again. The hostess comes out I ask again she completely ignored me. Finally went inside and asked for the manager, got a tiny bit better, but still sucked. I have NEVER not left a tip, but today was the exception.

They have the best breakfast but its 10:45a.m And i called for a pick up order and Im told they dont or cant take orders! Ive never had a breakfast diner cafe etc tell me I cant make an order for pickup . Unprofessional Id go to Scotts or joy of eating Yes they lost my business for denying me a pick up order Retarded to not let customers order and pick up their food Take your business elsewhere. And also the sister with short bald haircut Is rude. Was offended because I walked in and smile at another employee and was rude and jealous over a smile because her employee greeted me and sister looked past me as I stood there to pickup a order Ive gone here 3 times they horrible service

In the last year have tried this place twice. Each time the wait for food was a bit ridiculous. At least an hour. Others were leaving becasue of the service. We were given the excuse that a big party came and basically the oh well attitude etc. The food was ok. Sausage was burned, potatoes were luke warm and greasy. The gravy was meh. For the price and the wait I guess I expected a bit more. They maybe need to work on overflow if big parties come in they seem to be ill equipped to handle. I honestly dont know what the fuss about this place is. I guess Vallejo is pretty sparse in the food game so people are thrilled with what they have?

This is THE place for breakfast/brunch in Downtown Vallejo. No question about it. Excellent service from a very friendly staff. The food comes quickly. Sometimes there can be a little wait. You can bring your dog if you want to eat at the outdoor tables. All the coffee cups have some kind of "positive affirmation" or slogan on them. The coffee is good, really. My favorite menu item is the corned beef hash and eggs. Guilty. But I may offend again. The Good Day is a great place to begin a good day. If you just woke up with someone you really like (a new or old friend?), then this would be the place to bring them. ;-) You dog.

This cafe has been the mornin ray of sunshine for many years in Vallejo. Its mostly due to the quality & well prepared food on the menu, the warmest staff ull ever meet & Cindy, the "most wonderful owner ull ever have the honor of serving u". She will literally make ur day with her cheerful personality & she makes u feel like family every time u pass through the door. A welcoming decor, with many historical pictures on the walls & table tops! Located in downtown Vallejo, on Georgia St., by the clock tower. We r long time customers & hope to continue for many years to come.

This place is years over due for my review. When I celebrate I come here. When I am having a meeting I come here. When I am sad and need a smile I come here. I am from Oakland and is very picky what I put in my mouth. Good Day Cafe is one of the only cafe in Vallejo that I recommend to all of my family from out of state. Good Day Cafe name fit your mood when you leave here this will be a start of a Good Day.

It takes forever to get your food. Were talking over 20 minutes... they dont even seem that busy to take that long.... The food is good and the staff is nice. There are a lot of children because children get free presents at the end of the meal (Thats cool for families) I would ask to be placed at the smaller tables if you dont want to deal with this.

Best place in Vallejo. Ive been going since the old place that connected to quality inn before it burned down. My family was nearly raised on it. Great for the family or just to stop by for coffee. Great service and servers. All the people inside like like they are having a good day. I guess thats why they call it good day cafe.

Im not the first and wont be the last to extol the delights of this little gem in downtown Vallejo. This joint is jumping with music, laughter and conversation. Let the staff guide you through the large menu options, all to make your mouth water. Busy, busy, busy on the weekend, especially Sunday breakfasts and brunch.

We were at the farmers market and decided to try out this restaurant for breakfast. My husband had a akillet breakfast and I chose eggs and potatoes. They poached my eggs perfectly and the red potatoes were delicious. My husbands skillet was huge and delicious. Service was outstanding. What a find!

Ive lived in Vallejo for 3 years and Ive come here several times. I love that its family owned and the staff knows you by name. They have a great menu and the food is good. Sometimes it can get a little busy and the food may take longer than normal but other than that. Great place for breakfast or lunch!

Great home-town spot for breakfast or lunch. I went here for breakfast with a friend and the service was friendly, food was good, and there was a lot of interesting local artwork along the walls. It has a sweet homey decor to it. A nice place to eat breakfast in downtown Vallejo!

Went here for breakfast/brunch. Absolutely delicious! The chicken fried steak was seasoned perfectly. They put a touch of honey in the butter -- great on the home-made biscuit. My nephew had the Big Ben burger. It was an architectural masterpiece. Definitely not for sissies!

I stayed in Vallejo en route to San Francisco. I was in the mood for BBQ and this place looked like a good option, though it was pretty late by the time I got there. The decor of the place was nice and modern and my server was friendly, with plenty of good recommendations.

Rose the partial owner was also our server. She was fantastic. I ordered the "Everything but the Kitchen Sink". It is the scrambling of 5 items, I prefer a spicy meaty concotion and it was delicious (bacon, spicy sausage, jalapenos, pepper jack cheese and mushrooms)

The food is always perfect and delicious. Shout out to the ONE dishwasher and ONE older lady ALWAYS back there cooking all the food. Even before I eat my food here, Im instantly in a good mood and have a wall of beautiful art to look at. Dont change a thing!

Went here with my parents for a weekend based on our airbnbs recommendation, and like it so much we went back again the next morning. Great service, and your cup of their awesome coffee never seems to empty with everyone constantly refilling you.
