I went Wednesday morning around 8:30 to the cafe. I was the only one in line. There were only two other customers who were seated and already served. All the ladies who were working were in the back talking. Finally, one of the cooks saw me and told the cashier. There was no friendliness or greeting of any kind. I ordered a Turkey roll and coffee. When I got my coffee, I went to go get cream. They were all out of cream. I told one lady behind the counter that there was no cream. She just turned around and started doing something. Another customer came to get cream. I told her that there was no more. She caught the attention of the same lady behind the counter. She then poured cream into the container. When I sat down, my food was brought to me. Again, there was no acknowledgement. The lady who took my order just put my food on my table and walked away. The Turkey was very salty. Ive been to Lovebirds throughout the years at least a dozen times, always at lunch. The food and service at lunch were always great. Im disappointed with the difference between lunch and breakfast in both the service and food quality.

Im a fan of food that isnt cooked so when I saw their Wild Alaskan Sandwich, I knew I had to try it. So much smoked salmon in one sandwich!! Cream cheese, red onion, and capers. If you know me, you know that those are all some of my favorite things! The sandwich was good but I was hoping for it to be amazing. Maybe if it had more onion or something for alternate flavors. It was one of those things where Im glad I tried it but would probably not make another effort to come back for it. Unless, someone else chose the place then I would order the same sandwich again.

I went here for the first time today. I tried the half roast beef sandwich on rye with chicken noodle soup. The sandwich was delicious but not extraordinary. The soup didnt seem to be made from scratch but still tasty though. The staff were polite and helpful. There was adequate seating both within and outside. I would come back to try the other things on the menu.

I ordered a whole Hanks Favorite tuna sandwich which was a nice portioned sandwich but it lacked flavor. It was just okay, instead of the standard white bread I shouldve of requested a different type of bread and had it toasted. The place has a following but make sure to have your sandwich customized a bit to the way you like it.

This is one of our favorite places to eat lunch. Have been coming here for a lot of years. The Hanks sandwich is a classic! Paul is our guy and always takes care of us. My daughters love getting the grilled cheese and the tuna with avocado. Also they make really good lemanade!

This place has excellent sandwiches. I always love coming here during a weekend morning to grab myself a chicken salad sandwich. In addition, the pastries are really good and you can get fresh orange juice. Definitely a great casual place to enjoy a newspaper and people watch.

Been coming here since high school in the 80s. I love the pastries, coffee, and croissant sandwiches. The coffee is a significant step up from Starbucks and Im always surprised that more people go to Starbucks than Lovebirds even though they are on the same block.

I love the bakery items, but the 2 ladies who work in the morning are NOT very polite, helpful, and almost rude. The last 3 times Ive went they never speak and act like Im bothering them by spending my money. I will not be going back to Lovebirds Cafe.

I have been coming here for a long time and Just now I Walk in and the cashier was very rude. first of all she did not say excuse me. When I would ask her questions I could not understand her. Bottom line she seemed like she didnt like her job.

The sandwiches i buy are light and tasty, as opposed yo subway and other sandwich places. You can taste the difference in quality. The desserts are very tasty as well.
