We stayed here this weekend (July 28, 2017). We ate at the restaurant both nights (which was just a couple of yards from our cabin). This restaurant was awesome. The staff were so friendly. The food was amazing. We had a party of 7 and we ordered the catfish plate, fried chicken, hamburger steak, chicken fried steak, hamburgers, and the chicken strips. Every bit of it was delicious. We found that the prices were really cheap for the amount of food that we received. We are already planning another trip to Buffalo Concessions and we will definitely eat here again. I suggest going earlier than we did so that you dont have to wait for a table. We didnt have to wait long though. (While waiting, the picnic tables outside give you the most amazing view of the river). This restaurant appears to get packed in the afternoons. The only regret I have is that we didnt get to try the breakfast. That is on the list for next time. Also, the view of the river from the inside of the restaurant is amazing. Cant say enough about this wonderful restaurant! The desserts looked amazing too, but we didnt have room for those. We were stuffed! I wish that this restaurant was open year-round. Kudos to all of the staff. You made it an amazing experience! We also stayed in Unit C of the lodge. Our friends rented A, B, and D. The unit was comfortable and had a full size refrigerator and kitchen. My family of 5 enjoyed the rustic feel of the cabin. Since my 3 teenagers are fairly large boys, we will probably try to rent a bigger cabin next time. Unit C was clean and cozy and reminded me of going to summer camp. I would suggest bringing your own pillows and extra blankets if you have guests sleeping on the futon and rollaway bed. We also brought a fan because we like the noise and we like for it to be very cold while sleeping. The grounds near the cabin were shaded and beautiful. Off of the back porch, you could see the beautiful woods and the river (bring your own lawn chairs). Right outside of your front door were picnic tables and grills. There was plenty of parking (we had 5 vehicles between us) and the parking was right next to the cabin, so you didnt have far to walk when unloading the cars. Units A and D of the lodge are bigger than B and C. We will definitely book our next cabin/trip with Buffalo Concessions. Housekeeping was great and provided us with fresh towels the next day. Bring your own paper towels for use in the kitchen. We loved this campground because it was within walking distance to the beautiful swimming hole (bluffs and blue-green water). My boys also fished here and caught several small mouth bass. The campground was also well patrolled by the park rangers. When we stayed at a different cabin several years ago (with a different outfitter, it was not near the river and we had to drive several miles if we wanted to swim or just relax at the river. We definitely recommend Buffalo Point Cabins and Concessions if you enjoy camping and the outdoors. This campground was approximately 21 miles from Hwy. 65. Great location and beautiful scenery. I wish we would have stayed longer!

Will NEVER return. After 30 plus years of visiting Buffalo Point as both a child and an adult, our experience this time was enough to put us off from ever returning! Management was rude and unconcerned about the conditions of the cabins. When mentioning how horrible the beds were, their response was to laugh and joke about how the mattresses had been around for decades. So they imagined they were pretty uncomfortable. When we mentioned that we lost a great amount of food to mice in the cabin, their response was "yeah we knew we had mice, but didnt want to leave poison out" No warning was given to guests staying in the cabins. The futons were filthy and were covered with dirty sheets. We had to ask for clean sheets to replace the filthy ones with. We had a duplex unit and the air conditioning unit to one half of our unit did not work. When we turned it in for repair we were told that was the best we were going to get. The "fully" stocked kitchen did not even have materials to fix breakfast, let alone an entire meal. The exterior of the cabins are in desperate need of attention. To say we were unhappy with our stay does not begin to express our dissatisfaction! I hope the national park system fails to renew their contract. They have no business running the concession, especially to a treasure such as Buffalo Point.

My family recently stayed in the Bodark cabin and it was rustic, cozy and very well appointed with everything we needed for a laid back weekend. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook several delicious meals. There was lots of room for us to relax. The antiques that the owner used and re-purposed were very well thought out to make the most of the space in the cabin. For example, there is a clawfoot tub in one of the bathrooms with a re-purposed mantle to hold the towels. There were 4 of us but the cabin could have very easily slept an additional 4-5 people (cabin has 3 futons, two twin beds, two full/queen beds and two full bathrooms -- one with a stand up shower and one with a tub). My son particularly enjoyed the cabins book collection on fish and both of my kids loved the night we made smores by the campfire. There was lots of room for kids to run around and play football, too. Great place to make lots of family memories. And its about 1/4 mile from Wild Bills Outfitters - thats who we used to rent our canoes.

One review I just read said the employees were rude and unconcerned about the cabins. I totally disagree. Ive been going to Buffalo Point Concessions every summer for about 14 years, and I have never been treated rudely by the staff, and the cabins are always clean. Maybe that person that wrote the bad review was rude to the staff, and the staff reacted. Bottom line; beautiful country, clean cabins, nice restaurant, helpful employees, reasonable prices, and quick access to the most beautiful river between the two major mountain ranges. What more could you want? I highly recommend this place! Jenks Smith of Alma, AR

Renter beware - pay attention to bodark cabin.. wasnt cabin but instead a crappy manufactured home. The cabins available with no photos online shouldve been a red flag for us, but instead we expected to be able to trust owners when she insisted it was a rustic cabin - smelled bad and refused to give us our money back during confrontation. Wasnt exactly the place I wanted to bring my family, not impressive and very disappointed. Definitely will not recommend to a friend.

Best place to eat on the lower buffalo. Have been there probably a dozen times and the food is always good. P.S try the catfish
