My wife and I chose to eat here after watching a matinee movie next door. There were only a few customers present when we arrived at 5:50pm. We had placed our order by 6pm. We waited and waited for our food to be served. Approximately 6:30 our food arrived - but wait, it wasnt ours - wrong table. We waited and waited some more. We finally asked our waitress at 6:40 about our order and she said she would check but she never returned. By this time the restaurant was pretty well filled with customers. Finally at 7pm, 1 hr and 10 minutes after we had arrived and an hour after we had ordered, we walked out. Most of the tables in our area had been waiting almost as long as we had. The customers at the table beside us had left after only 20 minutes or so. There seemed to be several wait staff on duty. Perhaps the kitchen was the problem?? I dont think well be returning. Casa Margaritas serves much faster than this restaurant.

I really liked this place. Only reason i didnt give 5 stars is because service was a little slow but they only had one server. Maybe other staff called in, but our server, although a little too hurried, did pretty well and didnt try making excuses. Also, i ordered a spanish coffee drink that i wound up not liking but when i sent it back in exchange for something else, he didnt complain or act rude like so many servers these days do. The food was hot and flavorful, the environment was decent, and everything was a decent price. I will definitely come back here.

My sister and our husbands were traveling home from Colorado and we stopped in grinnell for the night. We were starving and wanted food. We tried one other Mexican restaurant but did not see it. So we kept moving on to come across this GEM. Best Mexican food and great margaritas on a Monday night. Our waitress was friendly and funny. Dont by pass this place its amazing food!!

When going to a new Mexican restaurant I like to try their Tamales and Chile Relleno. Their Chile Relleno is one of the best. It is crispy on the outside and a very generous portion size. The place can be extremely busy at times then the service will suffer. But regularly they are quick to get your food to you.

Excellent Margaritas! Several flavors to choose from. My family and friends love margaritas and these are some of the best we have had! Not made from a bottled mix like a lot of them. They hand shake them right at the bar! The fresh salsa is great and the food is excellent! Highly recommend!

We havent been to this restaurant since it changed ownership a few months ago but went tonight and were very pleased. The food was excellent, salsa was fresh and outstanding, our waitress was very friendly, and everything was really clean!

Just ate there today and my moms baby shrimp quisadilla was more fishy than any other shrimp. She ended up getting food poisoning after eating it. Very disappointed.
