Dont get me wrong, as a kid I loved Chuong Garden. I still have fond memories of the enormous and cheap lunch portions of sweet and sour pork, beef with broccoli, and fried rice with a side of egg drop soup. That said, my most recent experiences are underwhelming. The tofu with vegetables I had this summer was pretty bad. The majority of the vegetables--mini corn cobs, water chestnuts, and bamboo shoots--tasted canned and watery. The sauce was greasy and salty and was poured generously over the soggy, cold triangles of tofu around the plate. They were either out of the normal ingredients and/or cheapened the recipe significantly. Thankfully the service was quick and the fried rice was as good as I remember, and I would still recommend the pan fried noodles on the dinner menu.

Nasty Nasty nasty!!! They use WAY to much oil when cooking. There was about 2 table spoons of oil left in my bowl when I had finish my small portion of food. I ordered beef and mushrooms and was very disappointed. There was about 6 mushrooms in the dish and tons of filler veggies. My fiancé ordered chicken chow mien and it was more like moo goo guy pan with bok chow added. We ordered the wontons and they were literally a wonton wrapper deep-fried with the smallest pinch of what I could just assume with sausage in it but other than that it was just fried wonton wrapper. I love Chinese food but I will never ever ever order from here again

Ordered sesame chicken w/ fried rice and an order of egg rolls to go. I picked up my order and she was very nice. The food seemed as it had just come off the buffet that was about to be cleaned and tossed. Its temperature was just above cold. It didnt seem fresh cooked at all. Ive never seen a container of fried or steamed rice so small. It was cute it was so tiny. I wont be eating here again. Do yourself a favor, wait and go elsewhere.

Incredible cuisine and a friendly environment come together to make this a wonderful dining experience! I highly recommend it. Even though I came in at around 3:30 while the staff were eating lunch, they still happily got up and made my meal

Lovely service, not to mention the best Chinese food I have had in iowa. I had the beef and broccoli, the broccoli had a crunch and the beef was fantastic. Great tea and amazing crab Rangoons. This is now my favorite chinese restaurant!!

Honestly, its a cheap place to get a quick Chinese-American bite. Ive never had trouble with service here and the food has always been good for the price. Heavy traffic during your expected times given how close it is to the college.

REALLY GOOD food! Great service. Ive tried many dishes but among my favorites would be Mongolian Beef, Shrimp Fried Rice and many of their House Specialties. Ive never had a bad meal or bad service.

I love Chinese but if youre going to go to a Chuong Garden I suggest the one in Oskaloosa Iowa instead. The service is 10x better the options are larger and the food is better quality.

Yummy, quick, and cheap. GF options are anything with the white sauce. If you specify an allergy they will take care of you. Egg drop soup is also GF.

Good food, good prices. Worst thing I can say about Chuongs is the spicy dishes are not hot enough.
