I passed this place and it seemed like a hole in the wall, dive bar. When I first went in I went with a friend and was told it was seat yourself. We sat and waited about 10 to 15 mins with no one taking our order or even noticing we were there. We ended up going to the bar and ordering our drink straight from the bartender. I tried a Smithwicks and actually enjoyed it. They had live music playing (it was a Saturday) and so that was cool. The crowd was definitely older. I went back in another day and much better service. Ordered from the bar first then sat down and the waitress came and asked if we needed food and checked on our drinks often. Again it was an older crowd. this would be the type of place where i could come by myself and not worry about being "hit on" and enjoy a beer by myself or with a few of my friends that arent wanting to get crazy. For this reason I will continue to go there on occasion.

Usually enjoy little Irish themed bars. The stench of old alcohol, mismatched furniture, fresh paint that looks decades old, utter lack of any female patrons. That is what I look for in a dive bar and this placed had it all in spades. What this place didnt have, as far I could tell, was any employees. From the time I walked in, sat down, watched the 7-8 guys mill around the bar, I never saw one person who could be counted as an employee, much less an actual bartender. The point of going to a bar is to have a few drinks and relax. Hard to do when no one is working. There are a couple of other Irish themed bars around the Little Rock area and while they dont have the charm Hibernia has (they were clean), they do all have employees and bartenders. I would highly recommend avoiding ths place in exchange for any other bar where one might get an actual drink.

I dont have a passport (yet), and I have always wanted to go to Ireland. A red-headed electrician told me about a new authentic Irish Pub in town: Hibernia. It is a magical experience leaving the parking lot in Little Rock, and arriving in Ireland. The Food is Great [I had Fish & Curried Chips, a Guinness, and Dessert w/a sizable tip under $20.00], The service is excellent, and what a Grand Bar. Family Friendly, I am planning many returns to try more authentic items on their menu.

Dropped in to this Irish pub just last night. The food was good, the beer was cold, and the usuals were very friendly. I sat and laughed for a good 2 hours until I just had to go. A great old fashion type of tavern. Make sure you say hello to Jerry while you are there, a great guy with a great little tavern.

Ive been here three times now and each time the foods been fabulous. Great place to go for a laid-back pub atmosphere. If I lived closer, Id be in weekly. Service has always been acceptable to good. Great place for kids as well, as long as they dont have any live music playing, because then it gets LOUD.

I have been coming to this place for years! The only authentic irish bar/restaurant in thr entire state. Great food, great drinks, great people and on top of that they never have a cover for any of the free live music they provide. Kid friendly, availability for parties and its non smoking!

I quiet pub where you can enjoy a pint of Smithwicks or a pint of the plain and a good conversation. This pub has a refreshing lack of commercial pretense that youll find in most "Irish" pubs.

We have been as much "regulars" as we can be. Gerry, the proprietor, and his staff, including Sarah, are great folks. A unique establishment with great food, drink and live music.

Ordered fish and chips, everything was overfried and tasted like it was cooked in oil that was well past its change-out date. Would not recommend.

I really like this place. They have Irish (usually) music on the weekends. The bread pudding is very good. Good selection of beer.

Felt close to a bar in the UK, I imagine the service would be warmer if Id had more than one drink but we had to leave
