I have a hard time listing local placed with an average rating and this is not due to the food or the drinks, but the service. We went to celebrate a recent promotion and ordered a pizza and fries to share. The truffle aioli was out of this world and the fries were coated in a nice dusting of Parmesan without being over greasy, we ordered a second basket! The only issue we had was with our drinks and delivery time. The drinks were VERY heavy handed, rather than let them waste our table each took a turn "shooting" the drink down between watering it down. When we brought it to the bartenders attention she scoffed and mumbled "that didnt stop you from drinking them so fast..." Our waiter was great, but again seemed to have trouble managing the order of food to tables, it took a total of 1 hour from order to delivery for the pizza. I am willing to give this place a second visit for the fantastic food and hope to reedit this post once I do.

i have gone to stray dogs 3 times and the last 2 times i have brought my family and my boyfriend on valentines day. waited about 20 minutes to get our drink order( waiter didnt come over untill we complained) and then waited another 20 minutes for 1 shake ( wanted the churro shake and they didnt have churros !) took our menus without asking if we wanted food, then waited another 15 minutes to get our order in. our waitress on VALENTINEs DAY stalled long enough so by the time we got our order in for a cheese pizza she said the kitchen was closing, gave us our pizza in a to go box saying they were closing.. when we arrived at 9:30 and they stalled long enough and it was 10:00 when we got our 1 shake! and 10:20 by the time we got our pizza. i love their food but their wait staff SUCKS. i will NOT be back for awhile. they ruined my valentines day.

Took my wife for an early Valentines day (read about the shakes on social media) We saw our waiter about a total of three times in the time we were there (1. Took our order 2. Brought our drinks 3. Took our milkshake order), it was not very busy, someone else brought our food and our check. We went without refills on our drinks for pretty much the entire time we were there. The $11 milkshake (Churrochata) was subpar, already melted by the time we received it and tasted like plain milk, not horchata. The churros attached to it at least tasted good. The only reason for the second star is that the overpriced burger and onion rings were delicious. The Shroomer burger is definitely tasty.

Last night we had family in from out of town and we went to Zona 78 at Tanque Verde east side location, and what a wonderful time we had, from the door greet to great attentive service with Tony our server. He had great recommendations for us. We had the Trout, Chicken Parmigiano and the Flat Iron Steak and all came out in a timely manner and the food was great. We all shared the food and all decided that we needed to come back for more. What a great place for family and friends to meet. We even had the older kids show up late and Tony made it easy for them and had the food out fast so they could enjoy dinner with the rest of the family. Thank you Tony see you soon!

Although there are a lot of complaints about the service we actually had a fantastic waiter. If the bill had his name correct, it was Chris. He was very prompt and very savvy with the menu and had plenty of recommendations. We got our food in a good amount of time. I got the blanco pizza, my husband got their brat, we shared the bistro fries with parmesan, parsley, and garlic, and finished our meal with their skillet brownie. All of the food was very well priced and pretty tasty considering. None of it was jaw dropping out of this world amazing, but it kept us happy and satisfied. For an appetizer, two main dishes, a dessert, and two drinks it was only $30.

Came in because I saw their shakes on Instagram. Happened to have a sweet tooth that night, so my wife and I decided to check it out. Now we went in specifically for banana split loaded milkshake, but since they ran out of chocolate dipped bananas, they substituted with a glazed donut, and it did not disappoint. We also split a bratwurst and an order of sweet potato fries. The brat was "meh", but the sweet potato fries were delicious! Our server was fast and friendly and enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. Loved that there is a "playpen" for dogs out in the patio section. I though that was pretty cool and will have to bring our pup with us next time!

I paid $8.50 for a bratwurst that doesnt come with fries or chips. So I thought this must be some bratwurst. I got what looked like pale oscar mayer hot dog smothered in a cheep deli mustard that was so full of horseradish it was like eating wasabi. Not to mention the bun was rock hard and mangled and pieced together like a puzzle that fell to pieces when I touched it. My girlfriends food wasnt any better and not worth mentioning. (Worst salad ever the Chipotle dressing was pure mayonnaise with food coloring) Oh and btw if you want fries they start at $6 and not worth it. Will never come again. So mad I dont even want to drive by and see the place.

This was a blast of a dining experience. The food was excellent, with all the fair you would expect in an american grill. Jalapeno Poppers were seriously good, salsa and guacmole was a huge surprise, and potato skins were solid with a side ranch. Meat pizza was more than a meal and hand cut fries....yes please. There is nothing low cal about the menu, but that is fine. You should not come here to order a salad. You should bring the gang here to eat some massive burgers, and shakes that satisfy your cravings, soothe your soul, and worry about burning the calories later. I will be back.

We waited about 35 minutes for our food on a Sunday at 11:30am. The burgers and dog were all good but pricey. They give you a carafe of water at the table and little mason jars. We didnt have time to wait for the scrumptious looking desserts. Stray Dogs seemed understaffed for that many customers. Other customers complained about the wait time and got a bowl of chips. We saw a few other tables with no food either. Id try this place again if I knew the wait time would be quicker and everything was a little cheaper.

Stray Dogs is an amazing find on the Tucson food scene! As a result of the sourced locally, sustainable, non-GMO approach they take, the food is absolutely amazing! I had the Mac and Cheese, which was super tasty and very creamy, as well as some of the best home style ranch fries Ive ever had! I generally dont like home fries, because theyre often not cooked enough for me, but these were perfectly crispy. And the bacon ranch sauce....wow! Cant say enough about the food and service at Stray Dogs!
