I gave this Place A One Star ⭐️ We came here last night 06/21/17 for a Birthday Party for one of our Family Friend . We had reserved a Room for a Party of 19-20 People and when we arrived and said we are here for a Party and the Hostess looked at Us as if she did not know anything about it. Prior to that two of our guest arrived before we did and were told they have no Party for the night it was just so unorganized from their part. So finally this guy came up to us and he showed us the Room. We said there were still more coming. So everyone shows up except 4 we had to ask for our drinks we had to ask for utensils more napkins and we mentioned most of us were paying separate and that we had Military ID cards and asked if they gave discounts for that which they do. So we ate it was a Buffet we each got our food . No one came by to see if we needed refills on our drinks if we needed more drinks we had to ask for it. So one of the waitress came by to ask us how were we going to pay the bill so we told her this person is paying for this person and so forth until she got it all down. When the Bill came to Pay we noticed that the discount was not given to us and her Reply was we never told her about it and so we said so now we are telling you about it and make it right . It was just so Unreal that the whole evening was not good on their part but it did not ruined Our so called little Gathering that we had Planned for the Birthday Lady. The place was dirty, it smelled on some part It was My First time coming here had I had known and come here before I would have not come here at all. I would not Recommend this Place ever again to anyone of Families Or Friends. I got sick to my stomach something I ate that did not agree with the food I ate did not really eat much. Food was okay but the cleanliness of this Place was not so pleasing to the

My friends and I frequented this estabishment at least once a week for the past 2 years. The food is good. Have noticed that the eggdrop soup has changed tho. Its not supposed to be orange is it? Didnt think so. The BIGGEST problem with this restaurant is that if you are in a party of more than 4, you are seated at a table for 6 and then charged an automatic GRATUITY. Now, I may be an Indiana transplant here in Arizona, but I thought that a TIP stood for To Insure Promptness. Now, Ive BEEN a waitress before and I know that if AS a server/waitress/waiter you arent attentive to your customers that the TIP can be an insulting amount if any at all. So why is it that the wait staff of this restaurant AUTOMATICALLY get TIPPED, even if they ignore the customers at their tables?Im ALL for TIPPING and giving those waiters/waitresses compensation for their work, but not if they are standing around talking to other servers and NOT doing their jobs. As I stated earlier, youre charged automatically for gratuity. BUT YOURE NOT TOLD THIS UPON BEING SEATED. You only find this out when you get your bill and question as to why youre being charged the automatic gratuity. I think that this establishment is misleading their customers in this manner. It should be made known to the customer that if they are to be seated at a table for 6, that theyll be automatically charged for gratuity. Let the wait staff EARN their TIPS. And the wait staff needs to be more attentive to their customers needs and NOT get an attitude when theyre asked for services. Probably wont return to this restaurant and I WILL be cautioning my friends as to the practices of New China regarding the automatic gratuity charges. ~~UNHAPPY CUSTOMER~~

Its a Chinese buffet, so dont expect to be eating gourmet here. I used to like this place quite a bit, but recently, its taken a turn for the worse. Originally, things like torn wallpaper and broken chairs tucked in a corner were of minimal concern. Things break, sometimes you dont get around to fixing it right away. Well, its been a while, and the grubbiness hasnt changed. Oh well, no big deal. Maybe this brings my reading down a star. I still like the food and the experience overall. However, thats not the end if the story. There is an area of the restaurant (just inside the larger left/north wing of the building) that smells like urine, which only recently became noticeable. After visiting multiple times in the past with every visit being fine, the smell was faint, and I assumed some other patron was the cause/source. After going back again over the weekend, the smell (in the same area, not near the restrooms) has definitely gotten worse. This cant be done random coincidence, and now Im starting my doubt my decision to eat here. Lastly, I suppose eating at buffets like this carries a risk of food poisoning or other food-borne illness. Despite that, Ive been able to come here (and other restaurants) with no problem for years. This visit changed that. To go along with the unkept dining area and the new, lingering urine smell, Ive spent the whole day remembering what I had for dinner last night, and certainly not in a way I would prefer to be reminded. Bottom line, this used to be a good all-you-can-eat spot, but it has recently been in the decline. Doubtful Ill ever visit again.

This place used to be way better years ago than it is now in terms of management and food quality. The food used to be flavorful and fresh, while the employees were helpful and polite. Now, the quality has gone drastically down. The food is bland, often looks as if its been sitting out for long periods of time, and some dishes taste a bit...off. Thats the only way to describe it. For example, I tasted the orange chicken and well, it didnt taste orange or sweet at all as expected of a typical orange chicken entree. Or the Lo Mein noodles just had this weird after taste. It was a bit alarming. And do not get me started on the attitude my waitress gave me. For those of us that do not drink soda or prefer not to spend on drinks in general when out to eat, it is PERFECTLY fine drinking just water. But the way our waitress acted, she kept pushing us to get a soda or lemonade. Then it took her twenty minutes to give us our water. Also, I had to ask for her to clear our plates, which were starting to pile up (I mean, we are a family of four, of course there will be multiple plates to take away). She was walking by and I stopped her and politely asked if she could take them away and she said she would come back in a moment. Five minutes passed...then ten minutes...and then on my way to the restroom I see our waitress...chatting with another waiter. I called the manager over and he started questioning my reliability and if it actually happened. This experience was just so disappointing overall. I certainly will not come back again.

I got tired. I got hungry. And then I got lazy. And then I got a "bright" idea - take the kids out for dinner. And so we wheeled into New China Grill Buffet, just needing a break from the heat and something to eat. I guess I expected it to look better on the inside, but it was worse, far worse. Maintenance and updates look to have both taken this century off. The place is beat up. Repairs left half finished greet you just inside the door. Unpainted sheet-rock grows a dingy yellow with age in the greasy haze. The walls, ceiling, seats, and tables were gross. Nasty gross. Not a hand sanitizing station in the place. Not a clean surface did I find. "How on earth have they hidden from the health department this long?" I wondered. Battered serving utensils now a filmy dull greasy grey looked like they were rolled in the disease and filth of a thousand unwashed hands since their last dip in lukewarm grey-water. I lost my appetite, and I began to worry about my four children, with visions of eColi, or Salmonella and them potentially spewing this vomit back up in our home for hours or all night. A restroom from the third world. Putrid. And it was so even for the customers... they were as beasts of burden, as downtrodden, and as shoddy as the food, as if one begot the other or at least came to terms that life really needed to be this bad. We all took showers as soon as we got home - its that bad. I pray the kids dont get sick on the filth. Never again. NEVER AGAIN. Never. Again.
