I really hate to rate any place as 5 stars, but I do so in this case because of the staff. Im a frequent diner at this Golden Corral, and have always been treated great by the staff. Obviously I also enjoy the food, nice and fresh, small batches always replenished, etc. But what sets this one apart from the others Ive been to really is the staff, particularly the wait staff of Kat and Melissa. Theyve both been there ever since Ive been doing there, and they always recognize me and say a special Hi! But its not just me, they have a whole cadre of regulars who arent just customers, but more like friends. Melissa recently injured her ankle in a non-work related incident, and it was so nice to see the all her "regulars" genuinely cared about her recovery, how to make her job just a tiny bit easier for her, maybe leave larger tips, etc. You could see her wince once in a while, but she never slacked off, never short-changed her service or her wonderful smile. I was in there again this evening, and Melissa has fully recovered, and it was incredibly gatifying to hear all her customers asking about her ankle, making sure she was OK, etc. Shes like our adopted grandaughter to many of us, and she, as well as the wonderful Kat always make the dining experience special.

Where to start this rant. Im a disabled military veteran with the Veteran ID card and the cashier said no military discount which is odd for a Golden Corral location. Half the food was visible dried-out. The cost per meal is $9.39 plus $2.49 for a soda plus tax. Most of the food tasted mediocre to just tasting wrong/bad and the fried catfish was partly uncooked. This location has a bad smell that is noticeable after coming into the establishment. The selection of meats is poor during the early weekday afternoons and steak isnt served until 4PM or on weekends. I thought Id top off the bad experience with some Chocolate cake and icecream to try to forget; but the Chocolate cake was acceptable and the icecream was running low, melted and gross looking. I recommend the one on 22nd over this location. Take it, or leave it.

Great selection of food. $19.35 AFTER a senior discount is more than I want to spend on a great salad & a few bites of other things. The employee wasnt even at the meat counter when me & others waited so I never got any of what they advertise for Sunday (after church). No wonder my class never goes there (we always go somewhere). Otherwise, it would be a great place to satisfy different appetites. The breakdown AFTER the discount is: $13.99 +2.49 drink, +$1.37 tax = $17.35. Although the waitress only refills drinks, she actually did it in a timely fashion (which is more than I can say for other places & GC makes them lift & dump heavy Ice buckets). So I gave $2.00 tip = $19.35. Sorry but my social security budget cant go there again. :(

Its alright and I guess it really depends on which location you go to, The one on Thornydale would be my best bet the one at midvale park used to be good but they just got sloppy food is all on counters some of the food looks old!! And paying that much to go there they should keep all food replaced when empty& keep it hot. The young kids are running wild touching all the desserts parents should assist them so who knows what I just ate with my pie But I like the steak and the awesome pot roast I perfer Thorydale location. it ok at midvale park but would like to see freshness of the food and cleanliness of counters.

I stopped going to the one on 22nd St because it seemed filthy to me and we were always waiting for them to prepare more food. I met some family at the Thornydale restaurant hesitant about that store. This place was very clean. The food was amazing and the staff stayed on top of keeping food out on the buffet so there was no waiting. A lot of buffets have me wondering about the freshness of the food but everything including the salad bar looked and tasted fresh. I will drive across town every weekend to have Sunday brunch here. I dinged them 1 star because they dont offer a military discout.

Food was cold, but wasnt suppose to be. I mentioned it to the manager and her response... Nothing....i asked her if she heard me to which she replied, " yes, we are looking into it." no apology... She made me feel like an inconvienence. I will NEVER go here again! All of the good was dried up and cold. Why should someone spend $15 for that?!? If i was interested in eating trash i would go in their dumpster.... sad thing is, at least the food would be warm. I had to give it one star because it would not allow no stars....

The Friday lunch buffet gives many choices for almost any type of diet. The servers are helpful and cheerful. I tried meatloaf, which is pretty good, mashed potatoes, fresh green beans, a meat taco, a bean taco, lettuce, cheese. They offered many more delicious offerings and an extensive dessert buffet, but a stomach can only hold so much. I also tried clam chowder but couldnt get past the bleach taste from the soup bowl, couldnt eat it. But at least theyre using bleach to sanitize the dishes.

The staff were nice and friendly but the veggies were not as pleasing as the staff. The taste was not as they should have been. I work at Taco Bell, and our veggies are only out for 4 hours after we open them. But we never have to throw away our lettuce for example because we use it all up. Now my little gripe is woth the vegetables, they taste lile theyve kept them out for too long. They should have a time set to when they go bad. Other then that then that it was okay.

This is possibly the best run restaurant Ive ever been to. The food is great, and the service is fabulous. Dont be fooled into thinking that because its a buffet the food is of lower quality. Its not. My wife (who is a food connoisseur, loves it), and so do I. The only problem youre likely to encounter is your own self control, to stop eating at some point, or, perhaps to think a little more strategically. They do a wonderful job and I recommend it completely.

We always go here breakfast is great but.....today 1st time ever having a horrible server! We had a stack of dishes and I mean a stack of dishes before she even came and remove them also besides the coffee that my husband got at the front counter she never refilled the coffee and she kept rolling her eyes and had such a bad attitude I couldnt believe it we always get great servers there what a bummer this time. Food was great though:)

Bathroom smells like a sewer. They need to do something with their drains. Most people want Pepsi but they switch to coke products. Not a smart idea. Not a good variety tonight. They advertised steak and scrimp. But there was no steak or scrimp. Food was warm. Staff was alright. Waitress we saw once. We went to the cashier for drink refills. Do not know if we will be back. As the other Golden Coral are worse than this one.
