First red flag was when I walked in and the employees were all gathered together behind the counter talking among themselves and completely ignored my presence when I came in to order. There was a Cardinals game playing in the background and I felt as if I was interrupting their afternoon game. I dont expect a lot but saying hello and greeting the customer in a friendly manner goes a very long way with me. When I got ready to take my order, the 3 employees were just staring at me as if they if they had no idea how to interact with a customer. I asked if they normally greet the customers or not and the female got very defensive with me instead of just smiling and saying hello. This place definitely needs to have some customer service training, I ordered the 2 burrito combo with 1 ground beef and 1 chicken burrito. The ground beef burrito was pretty good and well seasoned but the chicken burrito was the worst I have ever had in my life. It was a mess of over cooked chicken and unseasoned under cooked peppers and tomato and was absolutely awful. I ended up just eating the tortilla as there was no flavor and it was not prepared well at all. It is obvious no one is tasting the food and that the cook has better things to do than worry about properly executing his job and focusing on preparing well cooked well seasoned food. The rice tasted like normal Spanish rice but the beans were completely unseasoned and had no salt in them at all. It was also filthy inside and as bored as the employees looked I was wondering why no one was cleaning the place. The cook was also talking very loudly in Spanish and laughing and having a good time which I thought was very unprofessional since he seemed to be acting very aggressively possibly due to the game. I didnt enjoy having to put up with the overly macho and very loud cook, the poor service, the defensive female at the counter, the poor quality food and the over all dirty condition of the inside and I would not recommend this place to anyone nor will I ever be coming back to annoy the staff with my presence again.

This place has gone down hill since it became Torres. The quality of the meat has chunks of Fat. Monica was VERY RUDE. I WILL NEVER GO TO TORRES AGAIN because of her. I have extreme allergies to Seafood. I politely asked Monica the mgr to please provide me with red salsa that is prepared for the people that use the drive through. She said no that is for drive through people. I did not tell her that I did not want to go to the Salsa bar because I never know what seafood may have been on the counter before me. She blatantly refused. I told her I can see the box with prepared salsa and I just spent $17 dollars can I please have salsa. She refused. I got my food and was not given salsa by Monica just because she chose to be rude. I did the same request at Someburros and they smiled and gave me salsa and they were happy to have me come back. I had been a customer at Rivas/Torres for 10 years. Not a good business decision for less then $1.00 worth of Salsa. Very RUDE Monica

The food is excellent; however, only my chips were hot. My meal was cold #18, had to be reheated in the microwave 2x, before it was hot. Then my enchilada camarones was only a cheese quesadilla. I had to go back, ond reorder my Camrones Quesadilla, and pay $4 more. Although the food was my delicioso, la serve a es my Malo. I had already started eating the quesadilla, before I realized it was missing Los camarones. I was given back the same quesadilla I was eating with some shrimp stuffed in the. cheese quesadills. The servers were nice, but their English is not.

went to drive through asked are those shredded beef tacos on # ? they said-will there be anything else? i said "no..im asking if those are shredded beef..-"thank you please drive through! "hello? HellO! HELLO!!! i pulled around and told the girl i would never be back to give them my business. Am I out of line? There are many places to eat around this area and i would guess the competition would be a bit more fierce. Maybe im just getting old and expect some respect. Not found here.

Repeated the order twice at the speaker and once at the window. 3 tacos with pico Got 3 tacos without pico cold in the middle handed to me by someone who was annoyed with having to help me. I have a feeling if I spoke my order in Spanish I would have gotten great tacos with friendly service. I recommend Salazar bros on 48th St. Salazar bros appreciates each customer and takes pride in their food unlike Rivas. I will never eat Rivas again!!!

Rivas is your standard 24 hour Fast Food Mexican Food dive. Their beans are a little watery and their breakfast burritos are pretty bad, but everything else there is fairly good. The potatoes are really good and if you put potatoes in just about any burrito its immediately better. And its vegan for people with "special needs". The place kinda smells and the entire place gets really really smoky sometimes. Not sure why...

"Rivas" or "Torres" as its called now is awesome....to be honest I eat here probably about5 times a week. Their rolled tacos beat out any filis or rolibertos, even fiesta burrito. As a south scotradale kid growing up fiesta burrito had the best around....now having tried "Torres" menu its up for debate....5Stars....awesome service, amazingly consistent good food....highly recommended

I was advised by a co-worker that they were worth the extra drive time and they had awesome food. I was happy to find that their speaker worked and the person operating it spoke the same language I did. The food I ordered was okay, it wasnt as great I expected. They had an awesome picture of what they deemed "super" rolled tacos. Im anxious to try them the picture looked awesome!

The service here is horrible. Lady taking the order was not friendly at all. As soon as we were done most fast food places you leave your stuff on the table. She had to mention out loud "The trash is right here". But before that she was sitting at one of the tables on her cell phone. The carne asada was very very dry. Bad bad bad. Will not go back

I dont know what happened, but this place has gone down the drain lately. I never post negative reviews, but in a this case, I felt I had to. These guys are terrible. They used to be my "go-to" place when I had out of state friends visiting. Now, Id recommend Jack in the box, or taco bell. Avoid at all cost. Bad food, bad service. Waste of $$$

I asked for a few chips with burrito and they instead charged me for a huge plate of chips. The chips tasted like they were fried in old, rancid cooking oil, and besides the nasty taste of the oil, they otherwise had no flavor. Gross. At least my California burrito was good. These guys need to do something about their nasty chips though.
