First, Nick is an awesome guy. I love his story of moving here from another country and being successful. We started going to his previous location on the NW corner about 9 months ago and loved it every time. The service was usually great, but never bad, and I never had a less than excellent experience with the food. And then he moved.... Weve been to the new location 3 times since he moved about 3 weeks ago and it gets worse every time. First it was just that it was hot in the restaurant. The AC just cant keep up. The second visit, in addition to sweating through our meal, the service was slow. The third visit, it was ridiculously hot, the service was awful. I had to call someone over to take our drink order 20 minutes after being seated, the server let us know that a bug flew into one of our drinks as she was bringing it out and the table behind us asked Nick to come to their table so they could complain. I get that s*** happens with the bug, but feel free to say you just noticed a chip in the glass or something other than a bug landed in it. The food is still great, so I gave two stars for that. I just wish I could have enjoyed it more. Im hoping these are just growing pains and Nick is able to get his bugs worked out soon. Im going to take a break from this place and give it another shot in a few weeks. Ill update this review then.

I totally liked the food and service better when they were on the North West corner. The gyro meat was dry this time, not as seasoned, and we had to wait for refills on our drinks. Our waitress repeated my gyro order as, "Oh you mean the Ji-ro?" (when I said it correctly to her). My Greek boyfriend and I had to hold back a giggle when she seemed to be "correcting" me with a straight face. We truly thought she was joking at first. Unfortunately, she took forever to give us our bill as well. Saw Nick there, talking to bar staff, almost told him, but unlike the old place, he never walked around. Kinda bummed... She did say she was new on the floor, but still... You should not correct patrons if youre not positive about pronunciations of an item. Hope it gets better there. We loved the old place.

I have given this place 3 extra attempts. I dont like to judge after 1 bad experience. 3 times in a row now, I ordered the cinnamon roll and 3 times it has been cold, not cooled off, more like they pulled it out of the fridge and put it on the plate, cold. The last time I was in there. The hostess was very rude to people. Rolling her eyes at people asking question and heavy sighing. She would call names and then walk away for minutes and the person would come up to the station and wait for her, then she would eventually come back and call their name again with aggravation in her voice like she had been waiting the whole time. I have been going here for years and at their old location and I liked the food a lot, but something happened and now I wont be back.

Checked in with very rude hostess, whom proceeded to write down John instead of Johnson. Then when called John, my husband said Johnson, she ignored him. Crossed of our name and moved to the next. There were only 3 couples waiting. Im in a knee brace, she never acknowledged, and proceeded to sit us at the back of the restaurant. Im sure the disability acts have been explained. If I was in my wheelchair today, I could never eat here. I navigated through the chaos. Sat for 15 min before being acknowledged. FINALLY got our drinks and waited for 25 more min for French Toast that was cold and butter wouldnt even melt. Returned that and ended up with wheat toast. Only refilled coffee and tea once. Not impressed.

We have been eating at both Nicks locations for years. Our past 3 visits have been poor. The AYCE fish and chips on Friday used to be amazing. Now, not so much. Some of the waitress personalities leave way too muc to be desired. We had an experience where our waitress took our drink order, we asked for bread and oil, she explained that there wasnt much bread left for the tables, and because they were busy while we were there, they "dont just give it away". Last night I got the kabob dinner. The chicken and beef were both completely tasteless. I guess well find another family style restaurant.

My husband and I took our twins out to lunch today to Nicks Diner on Waddell. The food was amazing!!! I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger which just melted in my mouth!!! There were so many great dishes there to choose from. Our waitress Karen (I think thats her name) was a pleasure!! She kept our cups filled and out tummies happy. This is definitely going to be a place we come to more often. We tried the other location but it was way too small and the wait was ridiculous. This location is closer to home and has much more space. Just wish they were open 24 hours.

Just leaving without eating. Waited a half hour to be seated. Finally get seated and I order for two children and myself off the kids menu. Several minutes later the server comes back telling me he cant place my order from the childrens menu. I inform him I have a medical condition which prevents me from eating a lot. NO EXCEPTIONS ... I paid $7.00 For two soft drinks and left with three hungry bellies. I WILL NEVER RETURN, nor will the rest of my family who are big eaters and good tippers ... #Fail #disabledunfriendly

I havent been to Nicks Diner II since they moved to this new location. Nicks always has a solid food selection and the food is usualy on point taste wise. Pricing is very reasonable for the amount of food that is given to you. Be prepaired to wait to be seated on weekends though, Nicks can get packed. Our server Robin was great making sure I had fresh coffee and making sure we were ok without being to intrusive. Nicks may have to open another diner to handle the amount of people that want to get in.

The new location is amazing, its so clean and vibrant. We had a 20 minute wait which for a Sunday morning at 0930 is fantastic! We ordered our food and it maybe only took 15 minutes. I am a country/sausage gravy snob and I love the gravy there. Seriously its delicious. The staff was friendly and I would definitely recommend this location to anyone. Also, its really bright and seats a lot more people than the location they moved from.

Went for breakfast the food is good but if you arent white dont expect to many friendly faces. While having breakfast I am treated to some openly racial talk about wetbacks going home. When asked by a waitress to please quiet down the men said why and they were told that an Indian was a waitress there. They agreed then the owner came and spoke to these men as if they were all part of the same club. To bad the food really is good.

Came in for breakfast around 09:30 and only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. The place was packed, but still the waitress were quick and friendly. They took less than 10 minutes to get our food after we ordered. The portions were huge. I ordered the French toast and was surprised as to how big the toast was. The prices are also extremely reasonable. Would definitely recommend this place.
