This is my first and only time ever going to Islands! The bartender was my server. There was a handful of tables. I asked for recommendations which I was told "beach bowl" was amazing, full of great vegetables, grilled pinnapple, chicken and rice." It was the most unappetizing thing Ive ever ate!! Rice was over cooked so it was mushy with no flavor. Broccoli had brown spots on it. The so called GRILLED pinnapple was not grilled at all. Just warm to the touch. There was more vegetables then anything else. I had maybe 4 small slices of chicken in the bowl. Which was of course, over cooked and dry. I didnt even eat the bowl because of the discusing flavor of it. I just pushed it to the side. Luckly, i had ordered an appetizer before had (Chips and Salda/guacamole) I paid extra for the guacamole. That was the best thing and my passion tea. Although, those two iteams cannot convince me to ever come back. Very disappointed.

I kind of wish there were something between OK and Liked IT on the stars rating. This was once my favorite chain burger joints. But its gone up and down in the past 5 years. Right now its running pretty much level. The food is still better than average but not the kind of thing you dream about in a hamburger. I usually get the Maui with Bacon (used to be the Rincon) on Wheat and its very good but not as good as it used to be. The service is ok depending on who you get meaning there may be some weakness in the management. If service is inconsistent that means wait staff are left to their own means too often. It would also explain the dip in the quality of the food as occasionally Ill get a bun thats stale or an overcooked hamburger patty. Its still on the "rotation" but the higher prices and declining experience are putting that in jeopardy.

The service here has become embarrassing. The family used to come here on at least a bi-weekly basis to catch up and have dinner. The turkey burgers were excellent, and the staff were always friendly. I dont know if theyve fallen under new management, but the service here is now almost non-existent. The bar tenders are ridiculously slow, even when the place is dead, and the staff are unclean (we actually had a waitress with snot running out of her nose, and weve seen her on different occasions, looking the same), and forgetful. The last two times weve tried to give this place another chance, weve ended up walking out. Last night, I waited 20 minutes for chips and salsa before ditching the table and leaving a complaint with the manager on the way out. I refuse to go back. This location should be shut down just like the one at PV Mall.

Back in high school in So Cal, was when I was first introduced to this legendary eatery adjacent to El Toro Mall in Mission Viejo. I was quickly a fan of Islands Fine Burgers when they came to the Valley. The atmosphere, the amazing food and the excellent service make a trip to Islands enjoyable any day of the week. I used to love going to the one in Tempe at Centerpointe or the location on Alma School in Mesa. The East Valley needs another new location soon. I can guarantee I will be eating here for my Birthday for years to come. Thanks Islands, youre the best!

First time going here. The name is probably to most ridiculous thing about this place. "Fine" burgers.... this burger is garbage and not to mention the fries look look old 2 hour staged fries. Service on the phone was terrible starting with the rude girl who answered the phone, then after being transferred to take-out I get some guy who can barely speak English and was extremely rushing. This place is one you want to stay away from.

First of all, our server, Shawn, was incredible! He kept on top of everything, checked in and was so wonderfully friendly! Really enjoyed being served by him. The manager, Sandy was kind to turn the air conditioning down as it was rather uncomfortable. Very very nice manager!!!! Happy with this place!!! The food was incredibly good!!! Thank you! This is a place I will visit frequently!

“Atmosphere, food and Service made for an excellent dining experience. Thank you!” Well deserved 5 Stars. Family dinner, Saturday at 7 p.m., party of 4, our server was excellent. We were seated a a more quite room which I loved. Last time here we sat in the open room with the bar area and it was a bit hard to hear conversation, so I was much happier this time. We ordered cocktails...

Love watching people surf on t.v. while eating. I wish i could surf that well. The staff were very friendly and the drinks were strong, i did have a long island ice tea. I got a quick seat by the bar. But there seems to be a wait if you are with a group. I dont know how long the wait is. The blue cheese burger was tasty. I recommend.

Islands has always been a favorite of mine. They were one of the first chains with bottomless drinks. I had a Nalu Nalu tonight and its my new favorite burger for sure. Everything is well prepared and the few times theyve made a mistake, it was quickly corrected. Wish they had half start ratings so I could give a 4.5.

Katie was our server. She was so nice. Checked on us just the right amount. Friendly smile. And the night manager was just as nice. Food was amazing. I had the nala nala i believe. So good! GO CHEF! Really good place to enjoy dinner with friends and/or family.

The Islands is an awesome restaurant with pretty tasty burgers and endless fries. Their chicken tortilla soup is also delicious. The recently closed the one by PV mall so we have to make the drive over to the Desert Ridge location now (still totally worth it).

They are family friendly and also great for a date night. The restaurant atmosphere is relaxing, it feels like you are sitting on an island. Their food is also delicious, I recommend their Moa Kai (tuna sandwich melt) or their varieties of burgers.

Best burgers ANYWHERE by far! This is the last Islands location in the valley and its a shame. There were many..now this is it..Hope it sticks around because Ive reached a point where I refuse to go to California anymore.

Food is decent, service is great. Just had a slight mishap and the staff resolved it extremely politely and without problem. Manager comped our whole meal no questions asked. I would recommend this place to anybody.

Best experience at a restaurant Ive ever had! Love this place and the staff! Had a very small issue with the order and they went above and beyond to correct it without me asking for them to do so, very appreciated!

Descent place to eat. I have been going there for over 10 years and they still have great prices and good food. Too bad they closed the one in the metro center area which was the one I used to go the most.
