The food was alright but the service was pretty bad. The quesadillas are mediocre. We didnt come to this restaurant expecting the best of food but at least the service could have been good. We told our server we were waiting for a small group of people that were 40 min out. We got to the restaurant when it was slow so we ordered and decided to eat while we waited for the rest of the group, we planned on having a few drinks when the rest of the group got to the restaurant and drink while they ate. The server basically stopped serving us about 30 minutes into our stay. We wanted to order more beer but he kept ignoring our table and then it got busier. Then we wanted dessert and that took about 20 more minutes to order because he never came to our table to check up on us to see if we wanted more water, more food,or more beer. Finally the rest of our group came and we were still drinking. They ordered but the server was very quick to leave and impatient to take the orders. One of our new members was going to order a beer but he walked away before she could open her mouth. We dont expect much from servers except for the basics of filling our waters and making sure we dont run out of beer and adding every now and then in passing if we need anything else he couldnt even fulfill this for us. Bad service.

My friends and I were sitting on the couch and we decided we want horchata. At first I said "hey, lets drive through Juliobertos" than I noticed I want eatable food, so we went to La Santisima Tacos and they were out of horchata! So we went on google and looked up best horchata in Phoenix and a place popped up on 7th ave and camelback called Charlies. When we got there we found out its actually a gay bar that happens to have horchata so we tried to get in but we arent 21 so they kicked us out. We called this place as a last resort to see if they have horchata and I was literary jumping with joy when I heard they do have horchata. When we got here we were greeted by a lot of smiling faces and we were seated they gave us fresh tortilla chips right out of the oven and amazing salsa to go with it. Than they served us with horchata and oh my god was the horchata incredible and delicious and beautiful and awe-striking and unmitigated and now Im eating a taco and Im very happy with my life. PS The horchata was truly hellacious PPS our waiter is the nicest human being on this planet. I challenge any of you motherf****ers to find someone nicer than him. I wish he was my uncle

Only good thing about this place was their salsa. Other than that, this place was TERRIBLE!!! From the moment we walked in we felt so rushed to sit, order, and leave. Our waiter was very inattentive and the whole 2 times he actually did come to our table (to take our order and give us our check literally two minutes after receiving our food) he acted like he didnt even want us there. However, our busser was AWESOME! She was always there to fill our drinks, chips, and salsa! When we left we went up to the cashier and they refused to take our coupon from the entertainment book/app even though the coupon on our phone says all we had to do was show our phone. When we were trying to show them this, they began to talk about us in Spanish because we werent speaking Spanish. Little did they know, we know Spanish. We will never go back to this place and we will tell others of our terrible experience.

Disappointed....... Recently went here with my boyfriend because we had heard it was supposed to be some of the best Mexican food in Phoenix. It wasnt. I ordered the Baja Spinach and Cheese Chimi. The spinach was overcooked as was the rice and for a Chimicurri it wasnt very crispy at all. Over all flavor was edible, but I certainly wouldnt order it again. My boyfriend had a mixed plate and wasnt wasnt impressed by his meal either. The service was bad too. The waiter was rude and abrupt, ended up spilling water all over our table and on the floor (didnt even try to clean it up), and put our check on the table before we were even halfway through our meal. Seems like he was more interested in turning the table over quickly than providing good service. Whatever made people love this place just wasnt there when I went. Will never eat here again.

Not certain why this place has made so many top 10 of Phoenix Mexican lists... The food was ok but not fantastic. Only one type of salsa and it was just kinda MEH. I had the taco and enchilada plate. The taco was fair but not completely cooked shell, still kinda soggy and could have been more crunchy. The enchilada was just the opposite with the tortilla lacking softness it was kinda dry and hard to cut. The garnish was way over the top and it turns out it had cabbage mixed in with the lettuce. The beans were pretty good and the rice was average. The server was really more interested in talking to her customers who are in health care about jobs. It was the bus staff who really came through with assuring my water was filled and that I had sufficient salsa or chips (which were at least hot). Fair enough food but not the most exciting!

Ive been going here since I was a little girl after church. My crazy mom would celebrate post Saturday mass with their cheap margaritas. I never noticed until I was old enough to come back end enjoy their margaritas, but they offer shots on the house when you receive your check. The food is great quality and absolutely delicious. Their chimis rock and their red beef quesadilla is a hit. Service is awesome and Ive seen the same faces since I was a kid very personable people working the place and on top of drink refills. Food comes out pretty quickly too, making it a great lunch time spot. I recommend going there a little early, a little late, or reserving a table for lunchtime however, as the place gets pretty packed.

My meal consisted of cheese enchalatia, beef taco, beef tostata, and rice. Lets just start off and say this was the best mexican food I have ever had. The rice was well seasoned, cooked perfectly and mixed well with the enchalatia sauce. The sauce was fresh and no doubt homemade...to be honest none of the ingredients tasted like they were preprepared or bought from a big name store. The beans and cheese on the tostata were incredible. The taco and tostata shell u can tell was freshly made as well bc it was still warm from being deep fried. If u r looking for some mexican food for dinner dont hesitate to stop here.

I have been coming here since I was young, single, and a size 4!! LOL My great friend, George worked there, and I believe his parents were the Owners. They were Greek. An excellent Mexican restaurant with a Greek infused twist on their dishes! I was always here to start my weekend, and would bring my friends with me for Happy Hour, Margaritas and food! Their chicken feta, spinach burrito was my all-time favorite!! It was always amazingly delish!! Their chips and salsa were good too! George usually served me when I dined here. He was the best! Service with a smile, always!! Love this place!!!
