Been meaning to try this place. I was going to The Henry a lot, which I truly enjoy, but needed something less "high end" and relaxed. This place definitely has it. The employees were nice, and informative. It seems to be a place that consists of nothing but regulars, because the cashier asked if this was my first time in here. The coffee was excellent. Medium red eye (Iced toddy with a shot) Cool, quiet environment. I truly do enjoy this coffee shop and think they should all be like this. Living so close to this place is a plus.

This was my favorite place until the new owner took over this summer. The friendly staff that had been there forever are all gone, and the feel of the whole place has changed dramatically for the worst . I stopped coming for serveral months and decided to give it a try again hoping the new owner has had enough time to find their footing. I was WRONG! The barista was rude, the music was so loud you could barely hear and it was uncomfortabley warm. Bring back Don, Tima and the old crew to save this place before its too late Please!

I found this AMAZING little coffee house quite by accident and fell completely in love with it within 5 minutes of being there. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, the staff is very helpful and will even make something for you if you just say something like " coffee flavored, with half and half and sugar in the raw but make it blended". Your drink will be Purrrfect. I have been in Phoenix for a year now, and I sincerely WISH I had found The Black Cat sooner!

I was In for a cup of Joe and had a great blueberry muffin. The Barista was very courteous and helpful. I am new to the neiborhood and I believe in supporting Arizona locally owned businesses and hope others will come to this comfortable coffee house and make choose this place to hang with friends, make new friends or just hang alone for some comfortable alone time. Try the Black Cat Coffee House and support independently local business!!

This is my very favorite spot for a big, and they have a BIG 32oz, iced Americano with cream. I wish this place was closer to home or on my way to work because I would be here daily for my fix. It is on the bike trail along the Arizona Canal and about 5 miles from my house on that route so that is a fun and worthwhile ride. The coffee is exquisite and the Danish are fresh and tasty. The kids love coming along for a smoothie.

Friendly service from both of the ladies working inside, and the quickest Ive gotten in and out of a coffee shop in a long time. Delicious iced coffee and iced americano with deep flavors and a crisp, non-acidic aftertaste. Clean place with a quiet and relaxed ambiance. Somewhat old school and down-to-earth coffee shop feel. Id like to come back to try breakfast or a dessert and do a little work on my laptop (free wifi).

I just quickly stopped in here on a whim to grab a snack to take with me. It was a pleasant little place where I just wanted to sit down for awhile, but my schedule wouldnt allow it. When I got home and had my bran muffin, it was to die for. Moist, lots of bran texture, and a nice glaze on it. In addition, it was huge, so I got to have the rest the next day!

Went with a couple of friends, waiting for a very long time for our breakfast sandwiches. Server was the only one there and continued to ignore us by serving other customers after us and completely forgot to finish the rest of our order. So after waiting a half an hour and running late for work, we canceled our order and left. Never coming here again.

Very nice little coffee shop with a good mix of tables and chairs and some comfy couches. Good outlet access for laptops and other devices, and speedy internet, also. Very friendly baristas behind the counter. This is my first time here, and Im enjoying the iced coffee, but its rather weak for my taste, as I enjoy a darker/bolder roast. 4/5 stars.

Im a fan of coffee and local businesses, and Black Cat does well under both categories. Very casual, fun little shop in Phoenix, they have locally roasted beans, and a ton of flavored teas and syrups to make whatever you want. Also serving breakfast and lunch options, if youre near 48th St and Indian School. swing in and give this place a try.

I come here to study and I must say Black Cat has easily become my favorite study spot. Baristas are all very nice here. Its pretty chill, comfy seats everywhere, and the drinks are all delicious. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing atmosphere to do any kind of work/reading or just a tasty drink. :)

Now under new ownership, the young couple who purchased the Black Cat are really interested in making this a great neighborhood coffee shop and gathering place. They care about and are interested in their customers feedback. In the meantime, they make really good, freshly brewed by order, iced teas.

I come in here to get a little work done a few times a week. The people are friendly. The coffee is great. I usually dont order food at a coffee shop because Ive always been disappointed. Today I was super hungry so I ordered the Caprese Melt. To my surprise it was huge and tasted amazing. Under $7.

I went to Black Cat for the first time on Friday. I dont know what took me so long since it is right in the neighborhood. This place is great and is my new go to place. They offer French Press coffee which is wonderful and so hard to find. Nice people, great decor.

Very good coffee, and a very good selection of coffee blends. The staff have always been very friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help. They make you feel welcome - and that says a lot. Black Cat is becoming one of my favorite stops.

I love coming to this place! Best chai tea Ive ever had :). Its a great place to get some work done and hang out. Never really busy like Starbucks, and nearby to other great restaurants and things to do.

Was good until new ownership took over at the beginning of June. Hope things get better, because its gone down hill a bit. Hot chocolate doesnt quite taste the same, and they no longer serve lemon bars.

A hidden gem. Coffee, Chai, pastry and hot breakfast sandwiches served with a smile. Not crowded at all, at a time of day when Starchucks has a 30 minute wait. And the coffee is as good or better.

Very relaxed place for coffee and tea. They have great Thai iced tea, and the food is good as well. I would say the prices here are slightly higher than other coffee shops, but they are consistent

Black Cat is my favorite place for a Sunday afternoon. I can study or just relax. Today (3/26) a 3 peice band is playing old jazz hits on the sidewalk. And they updated the artwork recently, too.

I love independent coffee houses such as this where they still appreciate the art of a good cup of coffee. Good quality cappuccino served on ceramic wide cups make a huge difference.
