What a wonderful gem this beautiful shop turned out to be! I happened upon this local cookie shop by accident. I was going to the antique shop next door and after I parked and was walking toward the antique store entrance, I was stopped by a wonderfully pleasant aroma of fresh baking cookies. Instantly I was transported to my childhood and the smell of my grandmothers home when she would bake. Nostalgia was enough to make me take a look inside and see where these delightful smells were emanating from. They offer a wonderful variety of cookies from sugar, to chocolate chip and even gluten free! They offer fresh, local milk with their cookies and even decorating classes! I pre purchased two gingerbread houses for my girls that was conveniently the weekend before Christmas! We decorated our houses tonight and had a blast! I cannot wait to come back and see what the spring will bring at Smitholator. If the future holds anything relatively similar to their deliciously tart and melt-in-your-mouth smooth lemon cookies, I am all in! Love it!

Stopped in based on a recommendation (but really, they said cookies and I said point me there), the shop is clean, cute, and easy to find. Parking in the area on the back of the building was nice (though it is also easily accessible via light rail too now), and I was greeted when I walked in. They had a pretty good selection of cookies, and were willing to chat about them as well. Bonus - if theyre making cookies/etc when youre in you can watch! They have a glass divider so you can see the action going down! Beyond that, the cookies themselves are fabulous. I picked basically at least one of everything, and so far have tried the piña colada, smores, and strawberry lemonade - each definitely delicious. Reasonably priced, good selection, polite staff and owner and an (obviously) clean kitchen because you can literally see into it. Ill definitely be back!

Dropped by with my dad, one lazy afternoon, and engaged the young lady at the desk in conversation. She was very sweet, and knew the store and its products well. I have multiple allergies, but I enjoyed looking around at the cute shop and trying its vintage sodas. Word to the wise: be wary of the sprinkles. We bought the autumn and confetti mixes, and nearly broke our teeth, once they were added atop cake. Very, very hard.

They do this great gluten free Danish cookie thing. Its absolutely amazing. I bought some for my gluten free mother, and she thought they were great. The place is kind of a hard spot inside one of the side shops in downtown Mesa. But the double doors are pretty hard to miss once you know what they look like (see picture below). Tip, but 4 get the 5th free

Heather and her staff are an absolute pleasure to work with! The company I work for purchases custom cookies with our logo on them, and they always look superb. I also come here for myself to splurge on the Smores and Chocolate Chip cookies, theyre impossible to stay away from!

We had a blast making baby shower cookies. They made us feel like we could really make beautiful cookies! And they tasted even better than they looked! You have to try all the yummy different sodas they sell too

FINALLY made the time to visit! Cookies were a hit. Six different cookies, six different people....one opinion...SO GOOD! Horchata cookie was my personal favorite. Well be back for more unicorn cookies.

This place is a hidden gem on main street. The cookies are amazing, the soda selection is great and the staff are the best! It was the perfect cap on a relaxing stroll down main street.
