My lifes living since. Retirement , traveled the globe , chose to move here as for growing up on beaches ; now Im in this world of( I call it)= happy torture pleasure or H.T. P. AS IN 6 DAYS A WEEK , & very "EARLY", Im outside gardens & rabbits; I begin smelling the most NECTAR AROMAS that permeate into my senses as unforgettable memories of the last GREAT Pastry Chef enters my mind. I NEVER WOULD HAVE BELIEVED THIS CHEF WOULD EVER BE MATCHED LET ALONE OUTDONE ( an example " the TARRAMATSU) MAMMA MIA ! That great all around chef Twas MY GRANDMA, My Bella grandmama passed decades ago ; humm maybe she made this happen for me . Im very finicky about quality in everything. Now here is AVENUE BAKERYS CHEF THE RESPECTABLE BOSS & CHEF & YES indeed A perfectionist pastry master ; a local & not just my friend , Hes My Only Neighbor! " Eat your hearts out"! Or put yourself in my shoes. So now Im ITALIAN AND A QUORDINATED Lover to plants, beasts, bugs, and man so I love you all when you pass by. Ive become exceptional in quickly analizing people. When I spoke if torturous above it relates to one aspect in that i especially feel your pains when. At Avenue Bakery your a bit late or Brian the boss is sold out. I could or maybe I will right a factual book on the life and times in living Next to Brians creations of NECTAR DELIGHTS in and about Avenue BAKERY. OHH OH , OR MAMAMIA ! " IM HAVING Thoughts NOW IN His CREATION OF THEE BEST CAKE Ive ever TASTED & SAVORED", ( even better than gradmamas ) an OUT OF THIS WORLDS UlTRA , " NECTAR OF THE GODS CAKE". A , " MINIOLA-TANGERINE. ( in season only)

Stopped in the afternoon...looking for something sweet.....not a lot available...but it was later...cupcakes looked pretty.....but refrigerated....I asked how often they baked them And was told every few days as they run out.....so not todays...donuts are really cheap just before closing....they were donuts...not bad....but they were reduced price. I got a box of Butterfinger cookies....cuz they were nearly out of singles....only oatmeal...these looked pretty good....disappointed....not real flavorful...couldnt find any chocolate I them...plenty of Butterfingery melted candy..but like I said not too flavorful...and really chewy hard....not real fresh tasting...kids wouldnt eat them.....I got a Creme Brulee......its give it a 7 out of 10...they burn sugar on top as you order...so thumbs up for that....the dessert itself was pretty good....Ill have to try them again next time Im in town.....just earlier in the day....

We went in tonight to grab quick dinner and some treats to take home to celebrate our 11th Anniversary with our kids. I checked the Facebook page and Google before coming in. Both said they closed at 6:00pm. We walked in around 5:25 and stood looking at the menu for a few minutes. When I walked up to order I was very abruptly told that they wouldnt serve food after 5:30. I looked at my phone and saw it was 5:29, which I said out loud. The girl gave me a shrug and an "I could care less" look. As I walked out with very disappointed kids, the girl laughed to her coworker and said, "Was that bad?" I could not be more annoyed and wont be coming back. If 5:30 is the policy then put it somewhere online and post it prominently. Then dont be a brat about communicating that to the customers. Maybe, just maybe you could even be a little flexible, especially when it isnt even 5:30 yet.

So this was our third trip in...first time in we had lunch the sandwhiches where satisfying..and then we spoiled oursleves to doughnuts absolutly delish...would have had a four star rating after that visit...second was just coffee and doughnuts the creamer was rotten.....so we came back for lunch again....sandwich was made by the same guy as the first visit...and well neither my husband or I could finish them...and unfortunately the young man lacks any care for what he serves or any customer service knowledge. Just because people are coming back does not mean you are doing a A+ job....there are very few places that offer what you do so why do if half way and not strive to do it right each and every time????? Please step it up a notch and i promise you will even have more people and happy customers...

The donuts are amazing. Coconut Cream Pie was ok. I went in yesterday afternoon to pick up some asiago bread (very yum), & noticed they were serving 2 different soups, one of which was creamy tomato, which is one of my all time favs (thanks to Zupas), so I ordered it in a bread bowl. I was then told they were out of bread bowls but they could serve it with sliced bread. Not a big deal so I said that it would be fine. Then the kid that was going to bring my soup to me said the soup wasnt ready. Im assuming the owner heard and went and talked to him and a few seconds later, they brought me my soup to go. I thanked them & left. I drank the soup as I drove away. To say it was lukewarm would be pushing it. I will stick to Zupas next time.

This is the BEST bakery in town! They have all the best doughnuts of every flavor imaginable! Oreo, Maple Nut, the regular flavors, etc. They have flavors for every person! But dont forget their crepes! I have not found a good crepe place UNTIl I came here! They are warm and freshly made just for you. Also, they have amazing different types so you can eat whatever your mood is in! Tip: Go with a friend and order two different crepes so you can try all their different kinds, because you will want more after you tried it the first time!

We deal with alot of businesses and people and with out a doubt we can say this is one of the best establishments and bakery. The owner is very friendly and always willing to make things as requested. The pastries and doughnuts are always fresh and unlike any other bakery around. Staff is always friendly and helpful and the facility is always nice. The only down side is more and more people are realizing the amazing taste and quality and its hard to beat out everyone else waking up early to get first dips on their great selection!

This is my professional review. The Avenue Bakery is a cute relaxing hometown bakery tucked just off main street in American Fork. They have something for everyone. Our staff goes there for lunch a few times per week. Its also a nice place to go to take your wife or kids for breakfast on Saturday morning without all the hustle and bustle of the franchise pancake houses. The owner is a great guy and the staff is very courteous. Tip: Ask for the white chicken chili soup with sour dough bread. Its fantastic!

Please please restrain my fat inner child from returning to this heaven sent place! Why oh why did the original owner have to come back and tempt me with his delicious recipes! I am thinking about starting a support group for Avenue Bakery addicts... and just down the street from sodalicious! Dont get me started on my sugar intake again! Please American Fork residents...stop attracting all the home bakers and cooks or I am going to become a 500 lb fat man and my wife is going to leave me!
