Nearly the only place in Mobile to get authentic ramen... well /was/ authentic ramen. Eight months ago a co-worker and I stopped in, and it was the best experience, hands down, 7 starts out of 5, ramen. Six months ago we took the entire department in and we all enjoyed it. Today my co-worker and I were finally able to stop back in (theyve changed their weekday hours). Knowing the menu, we both ordered Pork Ramen. When the waiter put it in front of us, we assumed there had been a mistake. For instead of pork cutlets, pan fried in breading and sake, there were now 3 small gyoza (fried pork dumpling). The waiter informed us that "The chef has determined that using gyoza enhances the flavor and this is our new recipe." The chef was wrong. The menu now needs to be updated as instead of ramen, you are given "Miso soup with noodles and gyoza" We will not be returning... Two stars because the sushi is good, and the crab rangoon is superb

Recently celebrated a close friends birthday at this restaurant. The service was awesome. Our waitress was very patient because some of the guests had never had sushi before. She gave us ample time for everyone to decide what they wanted. The sushi was in a word... Amazing! The best in Mobile in my opinion. If you are not eating sushi here, you are missing out on an amazing experience. Everything is Super Fresh and you can definitely tell the chef there take great pride in their work. Wonderful experience and well definitely go back again!

Great customer service but they never answer the phone. Ive been calling for 2 days. I guess you have to pay their phone bill for them to answer. And their noodles are fake Ive done my research so dont eat them if you dont believe me try them your self. They are ford tough. I thought they werent fully cooked but they are actually Plasticand I found out that Chinese restaurants are using plastic noodles cut down on food cost so most foreign restaurants use them. Stay away from them ford tuff noodles guys.

Exelent, delicious and filling food. Good service. Okay prices. Very pretty decor. What I did not like was the fact that they have can drinks AND that I had to ask for a glass and then for ice after they brought me my can of lemonade. It might be because I dont think canned drinks go with the decor of the restaurant or because I simply hate them BUT if you are giving people a can cold or not you might as well offer a glass and ice.

Had a little trial and error but there was great place for authentic food had the godzilla sushi rolls and Orange Dragon sushi it was amazing. Cold Green Tea was ehh but the Sweet Tea was 10× better but that may be the Texan in me. There house soup was also good and their tuna tatiki tasted like lemon pepper wings and left the table wanting more.

Ramen was good BUT when we ordered the sushi platter I noticed a certain piece that looked sheepishly familiar to a piece of fish called Escolar (causes intestinal problems and hard to digest) and I was correct. I dont knoq if they intentionally served it as that or they used it to mimick white tuna but either way it had to be mentioned!!

Very unique menu but they still have all the traditional Japanese fare (ramen, sushi, hibachi). Great little restaurant and the service is always phenomenal. Wish they were open for lunch but definitely worth the wait to get dinner. Portions are pretty large for the size.

Exactly what Ive been looking for. I could never find sushi AND ramen on a menu together until now. The ramen is wonderful and the sushi is decent. Prices and service are very good. Ill be coming back whenever Ill in the area.

Really good! I ordered the pork ramen with a soft boiled egg and it was definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants Ive been to in Mobile so far. The staff is really friendly and attentive and very speedy!

Kai is my go to date spot in Mobile. They have very yummy sushi for a great price and a friendly staff. There is almost never a long wait. Parties larger than 5 should call ahead for sure.

Really great spot and very hip environment! Their menu keeps up with the trend too. The sushi was very good and the pork tonkatsu ramen broth was bomb. Definitely coming here more often

Service was slow. Sushi was way too big. Like coaster sized. I suspect the sushi chef was untrained. It wasnt terrible but certainly not worth ther price.
