After reading the reviews of this place, I was really excited about trying it out. Unfortunately, my experience was not what I had hoped for. Chips were served with 3 salsas. One was decent, one was extremely salty (like a salty tomato sauce), and the green tomatillo salsa was just bland. Also, warning, if you ask for more chips, there is an extra charge. I ordered the chicken enchilada suizas which were described as having a spicy ranchero sauce on them with cheese and sour cream. They did not appear to have ranchero sauce on them, but instead were surrounded in a puddle of bland pink sauce. After trying them, I asked the waitress about it and she told me they dont make them spicy because not everyone likes them that way. My wife ordered a side of beans with her burrito which didnt show up... not a problem except that we had to ask to have removed from the bill. Finally, my daughter was asked how she wanted her tacos (onion and cilantro or lettuce, tomato and cheese). She ordered the latter and was charged a small additional charge for each taco (Im guessing the cheese was extra). Overall, just not a great experience.

This place doesnt even deserve 1 star! The service was terrible. The food was mediocre at best. We were charged a 15% gratuity on our bill for 2 adults, 3 children and 1 infant. And this wasnt even brought to our attention until after paying. Then we noticed the waitress took it upon herself to charge us an additional $10.60 on our card after we left the restaurant. Good thing we keep a close eye on our account. We will not be going back.

I dont know why this place doesnt have more reviews, this place is so Authentic, Fresh and wildly delicious! Its seriously the best Mexican food I have ever had & Im WELL Traveled. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, when Im visiting Illinois I always stop here at least 3 times during my visit in this state, they even remembered me every time :-) This restaurant is worth checking out. Cheers!

Tortilla chips and three salsas were delivered to the table to start. Salsas were flavorful. Ordered the chicken burrito dinner which came with freshly made Mexican rice and refried beans. I received a beef burrito despite ordering chicken but it was good, so didnt really mind the mix up. Good selection and varieties of foods on menu.

The place its cute and the server was nice. But once the food was out it all went down.... The food was terrible. Their chicken nuggets are those cheap frozen nuggets. Also the quesadilla and tacos werent nothing close to being edible. Both me and my husband were disgusted. Im so disappointed I spent money in that place.

Why didnt I find this gem sooner! ? ! Great first impression. I had the Alambres, my wife had the verde enchiladas. I will be coming back to further explore the menu and the Margaritas. Oh and the chips were crunchy and the salsas were like those found in a great taqueria, an important detail to this Californian.

Good food and friendly and attentive staff. Many food options on the menu to choose from. The favorites in Mexican beer are sold here. Slots/gaming is offered here. Hours are not as listed. According to the waitress, the hours were changed to close at 8pm Mon-Thurs, and Fri-Sat at 10pm.

Phenomenal Mexican Food! Love the taco dinner. Pozole in the weekends is not to be missed. Cool drinks & good selection of brews. Lots of poker machines if thats your deal. This is my fav in Round Lake!
