Let me start off by saying, if I could give 0 stars to this place I would. We sat down and ordered our sweet teas and filet mignon and asked how many pieces came in the California roll. Our waitress told us 8 and we told her we couldnt eat that many, could we order 4? For some reason she misunderstood and thought we wanted 4 orders of 8. When she brought the plate out we were very confused and she realized quickly she had made a mistake. The owner "happened" to be standing there and seemed very upset and had a very bad attitude about the situation and told us that we didnt understand and we made a mistake. We told him to bring us the bill and we would pay for the sushi and go. I asked his name and he told me he didnt need to tell me his name. I wish we had looked at the reviews before we wasted our time here. The 15 minute wait time on a Friday night should have been a sign. We never had the opportunity to try the food. No matter how good or bad the food is, service starts with the owner and head management. Anyone that will tell a customer that they are wrong and try to cause a problem, instead of find a solution doesnt need to be dealing with the customers.

My party of 3 came in for Wednesday lunch. After we ordered our food, we were informed there was a minimum $10 charge per person to eat. If I wanted any item(s) less than $10, I would be denied service. Not to mention, a party of 4 near us had already ordered and the manager told them the same thing. One individual ordered a side of fried rice, but charged her $10. There was no sign posted on the property about this "policy." After my party asked why its not posted, he argued, "Im not in business to sell $3.50 rice." Not to mention, he argued this new "policy" before others in a 15 minute heated debate. As a manager myself, this whole experience was absolutely ridiculous. As a customer, regardless of how much you spend, Im putting money into your business by dining here. So, if you dont make him $10, you may as well dine elsewhere. I will NEVER go back to this establishment. The man who brought out our sushi, however, was very polite and professional.

The restaurant has very nice decor and the bar was contemporary and very stylish. The ambiance is definitely not lacking. Our teppanyaki chef was not very experienced and it was hard to hear what he was saying - so only he got to laugh at his own jokes. The sushi was good and the hibachi was decent but not worth 20% - 25% more pricewise than Ichiban in Foley. We were not asked if we wanted fried rice and it was served with the hibachi food. Later we found that all 4 of us were charged an extra $1.75 each for fried rice and they did not remove the charges since we ate it. It was a fine meal but we would rather drive 10 more minutes to Ichiban in Foley and get equal or better quality for less money.

While on vacation my husband and I were looking for a good place to eat, he wanted sushi and I wanted more seafood so we looked at the reviews and were very sceptical but decided to try it anyway. The place was great, we dont know much about sushi, we have had some we like and some we didnt but we were honest and asked our server to pick our appetizer because we arent really certain with sushi and it was very very good. I then had a seafood hibachi meal and my husband went with more sushi that the server suggested, all of it was delicious, we were very pleased. I would recommend this place and be honest with the server and see what happens.

Just wow. Customer service was horrible. First we got there no one at the reception booth (we thought they might be busy or something) but after 20 min still no one. Then a older gentlemen working there came up to us and said "I dont know what you are doing, sushi or hibach?" He was very rude. We said hibachi. Waited about another 30 min still dont see him come back for anyone ( understand it might be busy). He finally seats us, we wait 20 no waiter to get drinks we see no one. Wait another 20 min still no one. I get up to find someone cant find anybody. We just get up and leave. Totally a waste of time. We didnt even get drinks.

Service was terrible, owner was rude, condescending and racist..waited 2 hours for food that was not cooked well at all! Table bill was over 200, but the owner was very patronizing when we complained about the fact that we waited so long for food, not to mention the order was wrong when it finally came out. There were roaches on and under our table (my kids told me this later-and I did see a baby one). I will never eat here again and if you are a person of color (red, yellow, or even got to much of a tan--you will get looked over)....what a horrible awful terrible dinner in such a lovely town!

One of the worst hibachi experiences Ive ever had. The waitress was rude. When she came to refill our drinks she used her fingers on the inside of our glasses to carry the cups. Disgusting. The roof was leaking right beside the grill. The steak was good, but everything else was undercooked in my opinion. The waitress waited for me over my shoulder to leave a tip and then took it out of my hand. Very rude. The food was way overpriced. Every other hibachi place I go to the fried rice is included, but you must pay extra. Just do yourself a favor and find something else to eat.

Food is good but the customer service is HORRIBLE! I placed a to go order at 4:55 p.m. They told me it would be ready in 35 minutes. So I wasted 45 minutes in town and when I arrived at 5:45, my order had never even been turned in. This happens EVERY SINGLE time that I place a to go order. Then they expect you to wait another 20 minutes for their mistake. They have NEVER offered any incentive for me to come back due to their incompetence. The only thing that is consistent is their bad attitudes and lack of customer service skills. Im done with this place!

Wonderful experience. Despite the short staff that night, our waitress managed to keep up with our drinks just fine and take the time to talk with us a little bit. The hibachi was excellent, as was the sushi, which was truly some of the greatest Ive ever had, both rolls and sashimi. At the end of our meal the owner came out and talked with us for about 15 minutes and then thanked us for coming in. It was a fantastic dinner and I definitely enjoyed how personal the waitress, chef, and owner made the experience for us.

I wouldnt recommend this place for LUNCH. Waitress was very rude, first of all. Then we sat to eat Hibachi (4 of us) My wife, myself, and our two children. The waitress gave us a very hard time because my 6 year old daughter just wanted to eat noodles...even though the rest of us were eating Hibachi. She kept explaining over and over how the restaurant didnt make any money on the lunch menu and went on and on about it. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because the Hibachi cook was very nice.
