Decided to take my daughter to try. We arrived shortly after they opened. Seated right away. There were only 2 other tables seated. Waitress came and asked for drinks as we were sitting down. But then the service and experience went downhill fast. We ordered off the lunch menu. I ordered edamame and we each had snow crab salads. The salads were very dry and didnt really have a sauce or flavor. Edamame were under cooked/steamed and were a little crunchy. We each ordered 2 rolls (5 pieces/roll). My rolls were ok, but definitely not anything to brag about. One of my daughters rolls she liked but didnt like all the eel sauce they put on the other, so she didnt eat most of that roll. Our drinks ran out and our waitress (one of the only 2 they had serving) never came to refill them until I asked for check. Our empty appetizer bowls and plates remained on our table the entire time. Once I asked for the check, a lady (guessing manager or someone) came by our table and asked if there was a problem. I told her no I was just ready for the check. She proceeded to tell me that we needed to eat more of our food or shed have to charge us for the remaining food on our plate. Ok. Fine I told her, but Im not eating anymore on my plate. She said oh not you, her (pointing to my daughter). I was losing my patience with this place at this point. I told her she can not make my daughter eat the food that she doesnt like. She said well, its on the menu that we must charge. Again, fine, I told her thats fine but my daughter didnt like it, so charge us. And I will not be back to this place (for multiple reasons). Oh and I forgot to mention I ordered 2 rolls to go for my husband and other daughter. So its not as if I was trying to order extra to bring home. I wasnt even trying to take the remaining pieces on our plates home. I simply wanted the check (with the extra charges or not) and our to go order so I can finally leave. But this lady argued with me and kept saying "well, its on the menu". I told her to charge me. I wasnt asking her to not charge me. I can now see why this place is always empty when we go to our usual spot across the lot. Definitely couldve been handled differently. I will not be back to this place and will patiently wait for Ichibans to open, where we will have fresher, tastier sushi (even if the price is a little more).

My low score is because of poor customer loyalty. Over the last year my family has been here numerous times spending over $600, almost always ordering the all-you-can-eat (AYCE) lunches (14.99) or dinners (21.99). A few months ago we were given a stamp card that after ten AYCE lunches you would get one free. Went in today with a card that had 9 stamps and ordered two AYCE lunches. That would make the tenth, + 1. When we asked about getting the + 1 as our free lunch, we were told no, that we would have to come in another time. The punch card expires12/31/16. As a business owner I cannot comprehend denying a documented repeat customer the $14.99 meal as per the stamp card. For this lack of customer loyalty, I will not be returning. I hope the $14.99 they saved was worth the amount I may have spent there in the next year. They did stamp the card...with only one stamp even though we paid for two.

All you can eat - Cooked to order. Just dont order too many items, on the first round. We like to order 3-4 rounds of food...ALWAYS HOT! You are getting fresh food, regardless of the time. Our service has been great.
