I hesitate to leave a negative review as we came here because of the reviews. I would have rated a 2 if not for the extremely nice staff and the quality of the food.... But felt like maybe they are trying a little too hard. With a family of 5 we spent over $80 (tip was already included). None of us finished our plates. The burger with egg and bacon was too salty -- the bacon too was extremely salty (and I love salt) but I could not even eat half. The first few bites were great. I tried taking the bacon off to see if that would help. Not really. I ordered French toast for 2 of my picky kids (safe bet and $9 per). It was Very unusual and not as safe as I thought. They did not eat it and I could not blame them. Was the texture of pound cake with out the sweetness - add the syrup and its extremely sweet. Too sweet. My wife went with the buffet - the brisket was Great - everything else was ok. Not very hot. Maybe warm. Add the $2 drinks times 5 and you have $81 of disappointment. Frustrated but maybe my expectations were too high. :(

Less than mediocre service despite them being friendly. Sunday brunch is very limited and they sell out of meals. Food sits at a warming spot in the open air for an unreasonable amount of time while staff aimlessly walks around and talks. They then talk over the food into the kitchen. We even witnessed a drunken customer leaning over the food (hair and breath and all) to talk to the kitchen staff. They were also eating in the kitchen. Extremely disappointing and the food isnt worth all of this improper etiquette

WOW! ❤️ I wish it were possible to give more that 5 stars. If you come through Decatur, AL & dont stop here to eat, you have EPICALLY FAILED! The service was fabulous & fast. Our party of 4 had a variety of entrees, including the Blackened Grouper, Morgan County Tomato Pie, Shrimp & Grits & Baja Burger. EVERYTHING was fresh, made with quality ingredients, DELICIOUS & beautifully presented. This was one of the best meals Ive ever had & if that wasnt enough we ordered dessert!

This was my first time eating at the RailYard. It lived up to its reputation for extremely good food. Unfortunately my call in order was delayed for over an hour. Several servers was apologitic and even offered me a free beverage. However waiting for an order for over an hour is unacceptable. Perhaps using only a certain number of servers for call in orders only would prevent this from happening in the future.

Not the basement atmosphere I was expecting!! The only thing missing here is the white table cloths and the uppity butler/host. Or waitress was on time everytime. My main course (blackened grouper) was excellent!! Beer goooooood!! The place is much nicer than a basement with keg expectation. And yes, the price is on par with the atmosphere and decor. I wont be back often but I will be back!!

I went with my wife after a failed trip to Green Leaf. Wonderful experience. I had the L&N Club and my wife Black Friday. Both tasted amazing and everything that passed by our table looked and smelled nothing short of mouthwatering. Had the strawberry cheesecake for dessert. Once again, awesome. Will definitely be going back.

This is our new favorite restaurant in town for sure. Everything we have had here we have loved. You must try the pimento cheese stuffed peppers! The restaurant is downtown, downstairs, in a newly remodeled side of downtown. The atmosphere is great and the staff is very friendly. You cant beat this place for lunch in Decatur!

Service is exceptional. Servers and bartenders smile and give the appearance they like their jobs and place of employment. Food is the best in the area. Just moved here from the Mobile area and the Railyard is the only place weve found that compares to the restaurants we are accustomed to. Hands down a great experience!

Revitalization of the downtown area wouldnt be complete without delicious food and the Railyard doesnt disappoint-- it excels. Nestled in the basement, its ambiance is unlike anything the city currently has to offer and the menu has an effortless sophisticated feel to it--easily the best food in the area.

Not bad, the food was good for sure. I tried a couple of burgers that I split with another member of our party. The server must have needed help or something that night. Also, its not a huge complaint since I left full. But a few more than 5 steak fries would have been nice cause they were pretty good!

This is a little gem in Decatur. Excellent beer and wine lists, tasty food (although plating leaves a tiny bit to be desired). The weakest part of our meal was the kids Mac and Cheese, which was rather bland. Chorizo queso had a nice level of spice to it to be crowd friendly without being overpowering.

A loud and lively place with great food, though service is a bit inattentive. Their entres are pricey for small servings, but the sandwiches and burgers are a good deal. Their Ahi Tuna patties are amazing, and are a free substitution on any burger. Highly recommend getting one on The Ward burger.

Top quality ingredients, fantastic bar, great atmosphere. A beer aficionados dream with a quickly rotating beer list from local and interesting breweries at a set price of $5 a pint, and $9 flights. Kitchen has a habit of undercooking burgers, I ordered mine medium and it came out pretty rare.

This was my first time coming here and I had heard so many great things about the food. I was told it would be a 10 minute wait, but it ended up being a 30 minute wait. The food was definitely not to my taste. Overall my experience was not the best, unfortunately.

The Bruiser Burger!! Says it all. As a chef I am a burger snob and reserve my compliments. The best burger Ive ever tasted cooked to order. Bartender was great. They carry Clyde Mayes Bourbon and the Pecan Pie Martini is like liquid desert. Cant wait to go back.

Unique and fresh menu with a very cozy atmosphere! The only word of caution I would give is dont go here if you are looking for a quiet dinner...the bar area gets very loud and the whole place echoes really bad. Will definitely be back though!

Hands down the best burger Ive ever had! The food is delicious also, Ive been to some very high dollar restaurants and Railyard has them beat without spending a fortune! If you havent been yet, take the time and go. Well worth it!

Outstanding customer service and the food is painstakingly prepared. You can tell they take their time to get whatever meat dish you order cooked to perfection. I am overwhelmingly and surprisingly delighted with my experience.

Great atmosphere, good service, and unique menu makes this southern comfort restaurant a must do. If you are in Decatur you must give this place a try. It is open seven days a week from 11 am to 9 pm. Do not miss it.

Their burgers are great. My wife got the L&N sandwich and it was delicious. Service was great too. The waitress was very quick on refilling drinks. The steak fries have just the right amount of seasoning.

Great place! Food is amazing, staff goes above and beyond, even providing a basket of toys for our toddler to occupy him while we waited on the food. Awesome family atmosphere. Highly recommend!
