I have a new favorite coffee shop in Birmingham. East 59 is brand new and it shows. This place is way cooler than I am but still tries to be comfortable and connected to its community. The coffee is great and the staff is helpful. The real "win" here is the environs, though. Seating for individuals and groups. Back patio. Couches, stools, chairs, and lots of rustic, repurposed wood. Like the community its in, East 59 deserves a look.

This is a great place to enjoy breakfast, coffee, and conversation with friends and family. Ive tried numerous items on the menu and everything has been fresh and delicious. The cozy patio is the perfect spot to sip a frozen chair and have an afternoon get together. On the antiques side, new and interesting things are to be found each time. Highly recommend trying this friendly, welcoming spot!

First of all, legit coffee. They serve Counter Culture and serve it well. They have a relaxed, family atmosphere that is unique due to the combination of coffee shop/antique store. All the baristas are super nice and know my family by name. There is a sweet community around this place and youre welcomed into it.

Eclectic? Is that the word Im looking for? Maybe. Bistro feel, interesting layout. Food is basic, with a gourmet twist. I had the Fiftey-niner sandwich, heated. Panini-like but some coolness inside. The pasta salad side was a cold salad. Vinegary with some tomato. Nice light lunch.

It looks nice but they didnt even want to open the door for us, the man literally was sitting there looking at us we try both doors and the sign was up that said open. Its close at 7pm we went at 3pm. I dont like rude places. So I wont be goin back and I will tell others

Theres an awesome Vintage shop on the other side that makes you want to decorate your home. Coffee was excellent and staff were friendly. The breakfast were very reasonably priced and portion is plenty. Cant go wrong.

I cant believe I didnt know about this place sooner! Atmosphere is very welcoming, I love the decor. Great prices, $12 & change for a coffe, parfait & breakfast sandwich. The staff was very kind.
