We dont eat Chinese food often, but when we do, Taiwan Restaurant was the only place we would go. It was always great. This time: what a disappointment. We ordered take-out. When I opened the Mu Shu Pork, it looked different - used to be brown, this time it was mostly undercooked cabbage and green onion, hardly any pork. The Mu Shu pancakes were all wadded up and difficult to separate. The Honey Walnut Shrimp (our favorite from past visits) was awful -- shrimp was water logged, no crispy exterior, none of the yummy sweet-ish white sauce, no flavor at all. The Broccoli Cashew - cashews were chewy like they had sat around in sauce or steam too long.

A great place for Brunch includes Champagne, chicken salad, hot + sour soup, main course + bowl of rice for $8.95-$10.95 (best deal in town), beautifully decorated w/huge bouquet of fresh flowers, a great experience + very friendly staff--also go there for Daily Lunch Specials all of the above for $7.95-$9.95 (minus the champagne) + they also have Family Dinners for additional $5 per dish. Must try + in cute village of Willow Glen.

A great Chinese option with gluten free options. Let the staff know and they will substitute all Soy-sauce with Tamari and all flour with tapioca and corn starch . We are still trying to replicate the amazing lettuce wraps at home. As a fried-rice connoisseur, this place rates as some of the best pork fried rive I have had. This has become one of our favorite stop in Willow Glen.

Disappointed with my experience with Taiwan Restaurant. The service and timing for picking up our order was great, but the food was exceptionally bland, including two dishes which were marked spicy. I would say the two chicken dishes, a small appetizer and veggie fried rice was not worth the over $40 spent on it. I recommend finding another Chinese restaurant.

great food but takeout is questionable. The pineapple fried rice in the restaurant is amazing but order the $12 dish for take out and youll be disappointed with the small to go box. Leaves you wonder what they were thinking. not only do you not get your half of a pineapple but the to go box is significantly less food than you would get if you ordered in.

You might argue for better Chinese food at other locations around the valley and I might even agree, but this one is simply a sentimental favorite in my childhood neighborhood with consistently good food, beautiful interior of flowers and color and pleasant service. It will always have a place in my favorites.

We have been going to this restaurant since 1981 or close to it. Even though we moved to Las Vegas in 2002, it is the place we always go back to when we get to San Jose. In all the years with all the groups we have eaten there with, we have never heard a negative word about anything that anyone has ordered.

My entire family loves this place. I have been taking my family there since the early 90s when my kids were 2-3 years old. some of the same staff are still here. I believe the food is excellent and we always get great service. We love the lettuce cups and the soups are great.

I have been going to this restaurant for the last 20 years. Even with the new ownership, the food quality is still great. The wait staff is very friendly. I know most of them and some even remember what I normally like to order. Their uniform is so cute and adorable.

A great little place! Their Taiwan Restaurant is great, and their croissants/almond croissants/chocolate croissants are awesome - my French coworkers all affirmed that these are "real" croissants, as good as they are in San Jose!

This is a cute little place we get takeout from all the time. The food is great. We often get the chicken fried rice, sweet and sour pork and beef and broccoli. But we will mix it up sometimes too and are never disappointed.

Went for "Sunday brunch" which includes soup, salad, rice, an entree (I had Vegetable Gourmet Special or something, hubbie had Brocolli Beef with Garlic Sauce - both yum) plus champagne for $9 or $10. Runs until 3 PM. Great!

Hands down the best in the area. Their honey walnut prawns, chow mein, potsickers, hot and sour soup as well as their fried rice are staples. Very fresh. I crave this place when Im not in town. Yummy.

Excellent food. I love their eggplant with noodles. Their pineapple fried rice comes inside the pineapple and is beautiful as well as yummy. Next time Ill remember to take a picture before we dig in.

Nice atmosphere. But all the food was luke warm. Soup was salty and lukewarm. Ordered Lemon chicken, got orange chicken, lukewarm. Vegetable chow mein, lukewarm. Will not go again.

Food wasnt very good. Garlic chicken dish didnt have much flavor. Those who ordered the mushu pork got tortillas instead of the pancake. Service was ok.

We usually just do takeout here. Its a bit overpriced for chinese take out though. Prices are about right for a dine in experience like Taiwan.

Not very good Taiwanese restaurant. I ordered the most basic "卤肉饭“. Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. Food was cheap though.

Nice restaurant in nice area but the food was just okay - very salty, not much other flavor. There are places with much better food.

Best Asian food in willow glen. Plates are really big. You can easily share. Combination fried rice and Chou fun are the best.

The Sunday champagne brunch was quite a deal at less than $10 per person for drink, soup, salad, rice and choice of entree.
