Great price on a great room. Does not have a lobby open over night like most hotels. I actually liked that it was more of a mom and pop type of place but wish I would have been told when booking the room. I found them online so just booked it via phone. Did not know there was no lobby open all night so after getting in pretty late (sun set at cannon beach is real late in the summer) I walked around and felt like a creeper trying to figure out where the rooms were because it was a restaurant. About 15 minutes of that and I figured out they were about 60 ft behind the restaurant. I parked back there for another 30 minutes with lights on and nowhere to go with a worried wife and family when a male staff member finally came out. He made me feel dumb for not knowing they didnt have a lobby so should have told them i was going to be late (like I could have known). Felt like a kid in trouble by my parents for coming home late, haha. Nobody on the phone told us we had to let them know if we will be late but guess you have to if you want in. The room was great, log cabin style but in rooms. Lots of live edge furniture that you can tell is well taken care of. After the mishap we really enjoyed our stay so I went with a 4 star but would have been a 5 if pops didnt talk to me like a kid who missed curfew. Hehe.

Its okay. Ive only experienced the motel part, and the rooms are pretty nice. Comfy beds too. The service is lacking though. I called because I couldnt get the TV to work, and I was met with quite a bit of attitude. The woman on the phone who answered was not the most polite but it was tolerable about it, but the guy she told cussed about having to come fix it and then they sent the guy up to fix it and he complained about it too and kind of scolded me because I "obviously turned the satellite off" even though when I turned it on it was messed up so what else do you expect your customers to do? He did TRY to be nice but it came across as just being passive aggressive. He also apologized for cussing at me which was nice, however still irritated about the service and was left feeling overall annoyed I spent money to stay at a place that cant do the minimum work necessary to run a motel. If you already get six of these calls a day, expect six more until you upgrade your system. The woman who checked me in was nice enough though.

Elsie purports to be a town, but this roadside bar/diner is the only sign Ive ever seen of it. Breakfast is great; try the corned beef hash. The bar is super friendly; all the locals hang out here. Youll recognize the place by the HUGE (6 foot) frying pan on the front.

The staff are wonderful but the breakfast was not. I ordered the pork chops and eggs as I have a health condition and am not suppose to overdo fatty foods like bacon and sausage. The entire meal was saturated in grease, even the pork chops.

This place is amazing. The accommodations at the inn are spacious and well appointed. The beds are amazingly comfortable. The restaurant has great food, and the staff ate helpful and incredibly friendly.

Dont let the name fool you, this is also a restaurant and its one of the best kept secrets along highway 26. Be sure to stop in for dinner or lunch and a slice of pie. You wont regret it.
