I have heard many good things, but always have to test for myself. This was some of the absolute best food AND service that I have experienced in Cleveland. That is not a combination that many places get right. The cocktails were excellent as well. My husband and I are foodies in the most serious sense of the word, so we are always looking for a place to try, and a new experience to add to our memories. Grovewood Tavern is on our top 10 list, and actually knocked several places down a few notches. Anyone who has not tried it, MUST try it.

Went there on a Wednesday evening, figuring it wouldnt be busy, which it was not. We sat at the bar. It took the bartender over 5 minutes to greet us. We got our drinks and had to wait another 5 to 10 minutes for her to come back so we could of asked for menus. The food is over priced for a dumpy bar, the service was horriable. I could make food better than they served. im not sorry to say that i will not go back there. To many other places that are nicer, service is great, and the food is much better and more reasonably priced.

It is still a good place but went down a few notches after they lost there original chief and then a few more when they stopped having nightly entertainment. I guess the need to maximize profits won out. Cant say I blame them. However, being able to hear everything from country to classic and everything in between while dinning on food from the Ritz at Dennies prices was to good to last.

Great place to go and have great food, a great selection of wine and spend the night hanging out with your friends. Its low key and not too noisy so you can actually carry on a conversation. You have to get the spicy noodles, and then a second order to take home.

When you drive up, dont be fooled youre at the right place. The food is fantastic considering the kitchen is the size of a bathroom andthe decorum hasnt been touched in 30 years. Weve been back many times. If you dont try the bolongnse, youll be sorry!

They turn out the most amazing, delicious food with something for most everyone. Love this place. Great wine selections. Can be busy/full at peak times. Highly recommended.
