I was with a party of six this evening. We are a mixed race family. I didnt know this until we left the establishment but my nephew who is black got there first with his white 7 month pregnant fiance and as soon as the server saw them he was very short with them. Once the rest of us got there he gave us terrible service. I asked for butter which took at least 10 minutes. He never offered us refills until I asked him and that took quite a long time and after we ate our appetizers it took 45 MINUTES! for our food to arrive. Its a busy night but we know that he had to hold our orders before putting them in because there is no way the cooks are going to let 6 plates sit there without a server picking them up. We asked to see the manager who said something about the kitchen being backed up but we didnt believe it. He said he would come back and check on us and he did and offered us 20% off of our food and apologized. As soon as the server saw the manager at our table he spruced up a bit. As my soon to be new relative stated "He acts like he does not even want to be here". Were all disgusted at our treatment and wont be going back.

**UPDATE JULY 2017 - This is the third time that service in the front bar area has been weak. The bartenders/servers were very inattentive, taking too long to get our orders, give us our check, etc. Was hoping that it was a blip, but after experiencing it for a third time, it seems more like the new normal. My original 4 stars is going down to 3.**Bonefish has been a go-to meet up spot for years because it is centrally located for westside and eastside friends. The food has been consistently good over that time, with the Lilys Chicken or stuff Tilapia being my favorite meals. We always get the Bang Bang Shrimp to start off our meal. There was time when the taste and quality came up short, but thankfully, those days are over and it is back to being the delicious appetizer we know and love. We always sit in the front bar/lounge area where we can watch sporting events or people. The service can be spotty, but generally the staff is pleasant and attentive. Be forewarned about the walk to the bathrooms - something about their floor makes it incredibly slippery when wearing anything but rubber-soled shoes.

I went with a group of 6. Two of us dont like seafood, but we figured wed find something good on the menu anyway. I ordered the beef dumplings (~$8) as an appetizer and the Kobe burger (~$11) for my entree. The server didnt ask me how I wanted the burger cooked which should have been a warning sign to me. The dumplings were room temp and nothing special. Actually Ive had similar dumplings at Fridays and liked them much more. The burger was dry and overcooked, and also nothing special. But everyone who got seafood loved it. I understand that its a seafood restaurant, but they shouldnt put expensive beef options on the menu unless they can make them well. Actually Ive been to a few seafood restaurants in the past and had excellent dishes made with terrestrial meats, so theres really no excuse. Also if theyre going to overcook the burgers anyway, why use Kobe? Just use local ground chuck and shave $4 off of the price. TL;DR: Dont go here if you dont like seafood, even if youre the only one in the group. If you must go, maybe just grab some Wendys beforehand.

Main course was decent, the vegetables were over cooked and the rice was bland (basic things that shouldnt be a problem even in an average restaurant). The server offered drink refills when we were already finished eating. Too late lady! She also did not write our orders (theres six of us) and later reclarified our orders (because her memory is "usually" good). Ended up getting the wrong side dish. Problem I have is that we waited over an hour to get our food. The server was nice enough to notify the manager and make arrangements but the manager just apologized and left. Thank god for the complimentary bread, which, yes we got it 30 minutes into arriving! Also noticed an employee who wasnt a server that acted very unprofessional through the night. She called customers babe, broke a glass then pointed at the adjacent customers faces "DONT MOVE!!", taking to a server about a personal matter while that server was entertaining customers. Really now? Not a great first impression but will give it another chance.

I love this place..U got to get the Bang bang shrimp. The food is fresh comes out hot.I been going there for a few yrs now since it opened. The service is always great, excpet for the last time i went,he was rude..I did not give him a tip..One dollar i gave...lol..All the other times i go,never had this problem..I did complain to the manager, and he was kind enough to applogize and offered me a complimentary Dinner...He did not have to do that, but he wanted to satisfy me..Money is not the issue for me..U only live once and i want to get treated when i go out with kindness and respect..Im not a big deal person..I just say the truth..Go there hopefully u will not get the waitter i had..If u do,asked to be seated right away..He was slow on bringing the drinks, that is how u will know if that is him.The manager was going to have a talk to him..Other then that u will love Bonefish and Grill..The food is BEYOND!!

It was busy and our 15 min wait turned into 1/2 hr. We were seated in the back of the noisy bar at a wobbly table. My view included the kitchen and the dirty room with no doors to block the view. The appetizer of coconut shrimp was excellent. The water brought to our table in a carafe became warm quickly as there was no ice in it. My husband had walleye which he said was good but his side of rice was tasteless and the steamed broccoli did not even have any butter or seasoning on it. The bread they placed on the table was doughy and soon became cold as it was not wrapped in a towel. I ordered the single lobster tail which was overcooked and tough. I had to ask for a seafood fork. My sides were tasty the au gratin potatoes and green beans. We did not ask for different food as we didnt want to be in that noisy uncomfortable situation any longer than we had to be. We will never eat there again.

Got there on 04/26/2017 around 5:15. We were seated right away...then the nightmare is coming as our waiter. Short guy, middle aged, unpleasant, looked unhappy working there on second shift. I was trying to place the order...he was keep repeating "pardon" like he did not understand a word I was saying. Then he forgot my corn chowder, he brought it to me while I was eating my dinner. We had to ask twice for lemon wedges, water, sauce. He always forgot something. I guess he was high or something. Very unpleasant experience. Food ok. Not likely to go back.

My sister and brother-in-law took me here for my 65th birthday. I had a wonderful time, service and food was superb. Our waitress, Georgia is the BEST! She was very attentive with all of her customers. The manager Tyler stop by our table and wished me a very Happy Birthday! Presented me with a card and great chocolates. Our complements to the chef, our steaks, cooked perfectly, tender and juicy, Walters salmon, excellent. I would like to thank the staff at Bonefish for making my 65th birthday one of the best!
