This is not your typical brunch spot with calm Sunday-afternoon toast and jam kind of feel. This is a hip bar-esque Mexican brunch place loud with music and people talking. The waiter service was pretty good. The host seemed a little preoccupied when my friend and I entered and wasnt very friendly, but he made up for it later by coming over to ask if everything was going well. Our waiter was awesome. She was friendly and pleasant to speak with. The food was quite good. Imagine typical brunch food items like potato hash and eggs benedict except with pork and avocado and other Mexican twists. To be honest, it wasnt the Sunday brunch I was looking for but I was pleasantly surprised.

The dimly lit interior is nicely decorated with what feels like authentic Mexican decor. They have the most gorgeous bottles of tequila on display at the bar. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The menu is deceptively simple and sparse--soft shell tacos and other Tex Mex staples. Everything Ive tried here is very good--a few notches above most Mexican restaurants in the area. I recommend the fish tacos. The guacamole has a nice kick to it, and they even garnish it with pomegranate seeds. Their mango margarita is perfect--not too sweet and the mango flavor is strong. This place attracts a nice crowd of locals and tourists.

What really impressed me here is their amazing happy hour. But thats only half of it. The bar was full so we had to make our own space at one of the service areas/entry to the bar. The bartender (igor) the barback and the manager were all very cordial and professional even though we were technically blocking their space and the value of the happy hour is really great. Incredible fish tacos and margaritas :) Igor the bartender is friendly yet professional and I will definitely be back. Thanks Ofrenda!

From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere, its a great place to dine! The wait staff are super friendly and accommodating, doing a wonderful job at making you feel comfortable. The food (my date and I tried a lot of the smaller dishes, and each had main courses) was fantastic. Great traditional Spanish food! The lighting is nice and dim, but warm, but not too dark, and the music in the background was pretty good. I dont usually write reviews, but this place deserves the mention!

Great food in a crowded, loud restaurant. I had melted cheese and fish tacos, both of which were simply delicious. The ceviche however was a huge disappointment: its hard to describe, but the flavors were all wrong, the sauce was bitter and sweet, and the seafood bland. The waiters were friendly and service was fast. Great place to eat, but not so much for conversation if you dont feel like yelling across the table.

This Mexican place manages to be buzzy but low key, low lit but spacious, friendly but cool, all at once. Very cool decoration, all black painted pipes and skull masks, married with lovely staff and a short but sweet menu. $6 is a bargain for a powerful prickly pear margarita (in 4-7pm happy hour) and my fish tacos were perfect; soft limey fish, sharp mayo, and wrap - beautifully moist flan for pudding, too.

Food was incredible & drinks amazing. Ive given this place an excellent rating for service even though we had to wait an hour for our table. It started raining so they had to move everyone outside inside and consequently we were delayed an hour. They gave us rounds of free drinks, free appetizers and free guac and chips. When we sat down the food was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Came here on a Thurs night with coworkers... perfect spot for happy hour at 5:30pm!!! the place definitely got crowded around 6pm. their menu has an excellent selection of $8 drinks and $8 food specials. the food portions are just right and SO incredibly tasty... I definitely suggest getting the pulled pork quesadillas, fish tacos, and chorizo nachos!!! you wont regret it!!! :P

For brunch, we ordered their huevos rancheros, tacos de pescado, and Ofrendas enchilada as well as a pitcher of margarita. My favorite dish hands down was the tacos de pescado served with jicama chipotle slaw. The portion was just right and the batter was not too doughy but light and fresh. The decor was awesome, true to Mexican roots, and the staff was extra friendly.

An upscale Mexican restaurant, reasonably priced with a fairly relaxed atmosphere. The food is very good. The vegetarian tacos with lentils were great, the vegetarian nachos were amazing and the ice cream with chocolate fudge was excellent and had a touch of spice to it which made it unique. Pro tip: make a reservation as it can get crowded after 6 pm even on a Monday!

Wonderful Mexican restaurant that we happened to stumble into for brunch. They had a vast assortment of sipping tequilas and a well-balanced menu of other cocktails, as well. The food was satisfying and the service was outstanding. They accept reservations, so if you are in a group of 3 or 4 and dont want to sit at the bar, call in advance to secure your spot.

Being a tourist and coming to a restaurant where we werent gawked at as some sort of intruder was great. The margaritas were strong and the food was top notch. The best night we spent in the giant city started here and it will always be remembered. The atmosphere is like walking into a day of the dead celebration and the staff were on point and friendly.

By far my favorite Mexican restaurant in the city. Food and drinks are terrific and the service is absolutely spectacular. Hostess and servers are consistently attentive and friendly - without being overbearing. I have NEVER had a bad experience here. The place does get crowded and is pretty tiny though so highly recommend getting a reservation.

Wow, we had the al pastor and fish tacos, the best weve had in NY. I grew up in New York and it rivals the very best there. I dont know how everything else is, but the tacos were great. it has most of the common Mexican beers and even offers the cawama coronas - 32oz. We also had a great margarita, and sangria but I went mostly for the food.

Went with my cousin last night as an early birthday dinner. We found it and tried the place based on peoples reviews. WE LOVED IT. Great place, vibe, people, music DRINKS and FOOD. Ordered the Smokey Jalapeño Margarita. The pitcher is worth the price for the punch you get after. Highly recommend it to anyone.

Best guaco Ive had outside of Mexico - chunks of avocado loaded with fresh cilantro , tomatoes cubes and radishes with unbelievably good tortilla chips - where do you buy these amazing chips ? Fish tacos was a highlight but also enjoyed the cocktails , sociable atmosphere and ceviche. Price is moderate

The best Mexican food in New York but the music is so loud I had to shout at the top of my lungs to be heard across the small table: Ill never return. I commented on this to the hostess on the way out but she did not seem to care. Go alone with ear plugs and you will enjoy excellent Mexican fare.

Excellent happy hour every day of the week from 5-7. Cucumber margarita was delicious and unique. Also tried the prickly pear margarita which was good. Got 2 appetizers (guacamole, queso) + fish tacos off the happy hour menu. The food was surprisingly filling and everything was very delicious.
