My absolute favorite gelato and sorbet on the planet. Any place that can make vanilla a must-have flavor is a place where miracles happen. I also love that they have more than just regular vanilla-chocolate-strawberry based stuff. They go way beyond. The last time I was there I had a taste of the corn flavor - not my thing, but corn gelato? Thats hot. I tend to go for the nut flavors myself. Try getting more than one scoop and mixing flavors a little. they will put sorbet and gelato in the same cup if you desire. Makes for some interesting combos. Cones is the best gelato place in NYC, hands down. Forget Cold Stone (ick), B&Js, Baskin, even Haagen Daas. Thats all pre-made high fructose corn syrup crap anyway. This is artisan dessert at its best.

This not very visible ice cream store on Bleecker, right next to Johns Pizza, serves the best ice cream I have ever eaten. Everything is made in the back of the store from fresh ingredients and it tastes like it. My favorite is dulce de leche, by far. The owner is Argentinian and he imports truly great dulce de leche from Argentina (as a dulce de leche afficionado,I have learned the best comes from Chile and Argentina) and he makes incredible ice cream with it. The coffee ice cream is strong enough to stimulate you into walking even further into Greenwich Village and is delicious. My grandson likes the cinnamon. I would have explored the other flavors by now if I did not always want to eat the dulce de leche.

Cones is an unbelievable place!!! Their ice cream is soooo incredible! It will knock your socks off! There are countless flavors to try (and you can sample any of them). At this point in time, Ive tried them all. That may be the reason why I cant fit into my jeans and can only wear stretch pants! Still, gaining weight was worth every scoop. I love the dulce de leche with chips and the coffee mocha with chips (in a class by itself!) Lately, Ive been enjoying the fruity, refreshing sorbets like passion fruit and lemon. There are so many flavors to choose from. It is a tough decision to make in the moment! Well... ENJOY!

This ice cream parlor is as good as any I have tried in Bs. As. There is an ice cream flavor which is popular in Argentina called Sambayon (sometimes in Italian they write it as Zabaglione) which is a unique flavor that is not easy to find in the US. I have tried a few places that make an ice cream called Zabaglione but have not found any that has the full flavor as you get in Argentina until I tasted it at Cones. This is my favorite flavor and I am really glad that I have finally found a place that gives the ice cream the same flavor as I would find in Bs. As.

As an Argentine living in New York, one of the few things I really miss is sambayón (zabaione) ice cream. My wife found Cones online and we went there last night. The ice cream was GREAT. I made a beeline for the zabaione, but after ordering I noticed a yerba mate flavor. Ive never seen this before in Argentina so I was really skeptical, but I tried it and... wow, its absolutely delicious. My non-Argentine, non mate lover wife found it delicious as well. Were definitely coming back here soon!

This is by far the best ice cream (or even frozen dessert) in the village. Fantastic flavors both traditional and unconventional (and excellent!). Not only is it the best tasting, but its the best managed - the owners were there every day we went and really care about their customers. We became regulars after just a few days and we would always chat with him when we came in for our nightly ice cream! Really great place - I was disappointed that it took me so long to find it!

Sure this place has a huge selection but its just not that great. I had a combination of few of the fruits and they were just so thick and creamy and not in a good way. In a half-melted kind of way. Im giving it 2 stars because my friend was really pleased with his baccio/straciatella combination, but if youre looking for real gelato in this city visit LArt Del Gelato in Chelsea Market. Sals personal touch and gelato samples make it worth you sweet tooth indulgence.

This ice cream parlor might look a bit dated and dingy from the outside, but their ice cream is so worth it. Their Brazilian corn comes dusted with cinnamon, and is legendary (or legend-dairy?). Id go back just for that flavour alone, it was delicious and filled with a sweet nuttiness and had the texture to match. Truly a win, even if the price is rather gourmet.

Argentinian ice cream. I dont know what characterizes it as Argentinian but it is. My favorite flavor is coffee mocha chip. This ice cream parlor is very popular. Great spot on Bleecker for dessert. After dinner at Johns Pizza or Rissottoria, go to Cones. Its the perfect combination. There are two tables inside and they are usually available.

Every time Im in NYC I make an effort to go here for ice cream. Ive never had better ice cream before. The flavors are so good and unlike anywhere else. Its a place I implore you go to go outside your comfort level and try some new flavors because theyre all amazing. Truly some of the best ice cream you can get anywhere. 10/10

They had lots of flavors to choose from, I got the tiramisu which was pretty good. But I hear the corn is one of their more popular flavor. The ice cream is a little above average price, and the more scoops you get, the cone can get pretty expensive. Nice place to stop by for a cold snack.

The Zabayone is a very strong flavor but very tasty. I wouldnt recommend more than a scoop of it. The Mate is very well made and has a bit of a stickiness texture to it which gives you a very unique feeling when eating it! The Dulce De Leche (w/ or without chips) is really good as well!

Wonderland for the lactose intolerant with an incredible variety of sorbets. (Yes, they have ice cream too.) My regular order: chocolate sorbet--every bit as rich and chocolatey as any ice cream--coupled with tangy ginger sorbet. They will even combine flavors in the single scoop size.

Great ice cream here. Love the coffee one. Its strong and very smooth. This is a nice simple ice cream shop on Bleecker. Its a little expensive but you are paying for the quality. They even have boozy ice cream here and for that you pay even more because it is top shelf liquor.

Excellent Argentine gelato ice cream. Thick, creamy and very sweet. My favorite is the dulce de leche, presumably made from real Argentine sweet. Be sure to pay this unassuming shop a visit and become enthralled by the amazing flavors.

Ive had my fair share of Italian Gelato when I lived in Europe, and this place is top notch! The authentic, quality flavors, consistency, and the caring team here took me back to Italy! You will not regret coming here!

This place is still open. Whoever marked it closed is wrong. Delicious gelato. Seriously, the mate is so weird but totally delicious. I might be biased because my wife is Argentine but still. Love their stuff.
