Hot summer night? Ice cream is about the only thing that will make me forget that it is so dang humid out!!! I have been a bit disappointed with the hard ice cream I have had so far in NYC ( Salt & Straw & Ruby Jewel in PDX has spoiled me). But then I noticed Mikeys was just a short walk from my digs and I love the old fashion ice cream uniform in the photo so I figured it was worth a try. Bingo!, finally some rich creamy hard ice cream that I had been earning for. I had the waffle cone ( a must for me if they are freshly made) with a scoop of Foxy Brown and a scoop of Southern Comfort. Both had well blended flavors without being overwhelming and sweet with generous portions. Cant wait to go back and try more flavors and some of the waffle treats.

The design of the ice cream shop was pretty unique. We went later in the day so they were out of a lot of flavors. Everyone who work there was really friendly and they wont let us try a lot of the ice creams. We got the chocolate one, the mint condition, and the drago. The chocolate one wasnt as heavy as a lot of chocolate ice creams but was delicious with three type of chocolates. The mint condition tasted like actual mint and not the fake minty flavoring. The Drago had Caramel ice cream with red velvet cake pieces and some nuts and coconut. It was really good and super tasty. Also it looks like you can get freshly made waffles with your ice cream! Yum Check out the super cool clock on the wall.

This is a gem of a store that was launched by Mike Cole. There are many flavor options and also some pretty solid amazing flavor combos (like a red velvet waffle ice cream sandwich) that you will find very funny as they are inspired by pop culture and they will leave you satisfied. The price is pretty attractive as well. One of the best part is that it is open until midnight during the week and 2am during the weekends! You will want to visit at least once a month as he launches a "Flavor of the Month" the last one was "Material Girl" which was passion fruit ice cream with white chocolate kit kat and white fudge covered oreos! I have yet to have a bad experience there - which is why I gave it a 5.

The root beer float (Milli Vanilli) is massive for $8! You get the entire can of root beer as well. Ice Ice Baby tastes amazing in the float. The taste is slightly reminiscent of Haagen Dazs with some other vanilla beans. My friend got a double scoop cup of pumpkin spice and Foxy Brown. The scoops were very generous and the pumpkin spice was spot on. The place is very tiny with just a corner bar and two or three stools, so its not ideal to hang around inside. They have a small bench right outside though. Cards are accepted and there isnt a minimum. Overall, their portions are generous, flavors are delicious, and staff are friendly. Definitely warrants another trip or two!

No frills but lots of flava" ice cream shop in LES. The ice cream is soo EXCELLENT. My favorite is the Foxy Brown which is mocha ice cream with salted caramel and crushed oreos. You have the choice of scoops, mac daddy, shakes and sundaes. I chose the mac daddy-red velvet which is your ice cream sandwiched by half a red velvet waffle. Made to order, fresh hot waffles by the way. I also love the fact that the workers have the old school ice cream parlour outfit and the place is super clean. Whenever Im in the LES, I will definitely stop here for some ice cream.

Man läuft nicht direkt dran vorbei, wenn man in New York eine Sehenswürdigkeit nach der anderen jagt - aber dieser kleine Umweg lohnt sich in jedem Fall: Das Eis ist einfach nur der Hammer ...

Nice little Hideaway place but you gotta go there cuz ice cream is very very good its a little pricey but its worth the price and its hidden away so I say give this place a great stop by at least if youre in New York City at least one suspect in the area of Avenue a and 12th Street side yeah definitely give that place a shot

Im here once a week. This is by far my favorite spot to bring clients or a date to. Mikey is one of the coolest people to talk to, and is always trying to get you to sample his newest flavors. I always get the Pink Floyd, which is Strawberry ice cream blended with cheesecake. Check them out if youre in the neighborhood.

If youre going to get ice cream, its best to do it right. Skip the store-bought stuff and go to Mikeys. The flavors change all the time, so its hard to issue a specific recommendation. But the employees are patient and friendly; the flavors are original and diverse; and nothing with pralines in it has ever disappointed.

Fun and inventive ice cream flavors! You cant miss the red velvet waffle ice cream sandwiches! I dont think people should be allowed to make waffles any other way. Its a small venue so dont expect to sit and enjoys your dessert. I think there were only two chairs. Friendly staff, though. Theyll show you a good time.

Went for the first time yesterday and it was delicious!! Its a small shop with a lot of flavors. I got the Mac Daddy (we got red velvet waffles) with Dough boy flavor and it was so delicious. The guy working there was super friendly and accommodating (didnt get his name) I would definitely come back here again!

The ice cream is amazing and they have unique flavors, but they are always out of at least some of them (sometimes up to half of the total flavors). The last time I went they didnt have vanilla. If you dont mind that your options might be limited, its definitely worth it for great ice cream.

I dont get to go here often, but whenever I do, Im always impressed by the different ice cream flavor concoctions! The last time I went, I had the Facts of Life and it was delicious. I also love supporting my friends businesses whenever I can. Mikeys is always worth the trip

This place is THE BEST! Go for the daddy mac with any flavor! My mind was most recently blown with their easter special- carrot cake waffle with cream cheese ice cream with carrot cake chunks! Went back in to just get another scoop in a moment of true bliss (and shame).

Was brought here by a friend on my trip to NYC. Awesome little East Village ice cream shop serving up hip-hop and pop culture-inspired flavors. Friendly owner/staff, good vibes and delicious ice cream. Ill be sure to pass by here again next time Im in the Big Apple.

Delicious throwback flavors! The single is more than enough for me, but really dying to try the ice cream sandwiches in the future. Happy and efficient staff and well air conditioned.. Great, especially when competitors have lines down the block.

SO GOOD. The mac daddy ice cream waffle-wich is absolutely worth the calories. There are different flavours for the waffles and ice cream and great seasonal flavours too! A little shop with a few high stools, unassuming but a hidden gem
