It was my wifes birthday,a Saturday night and I wanted to take my family somewhere special, on a quick getaway to Ridgefield, to have a great dining experience. I looked online and liked the look and sound of the Cellar Door Bistro, so I booked a reservation for 4 (my wife and twin 12-year old daughters). We were pleased with the service from the beginning--our waiter was very charming and the bar staff was cheerful. But the single best thing was that the food at the Cellar Door Bistro was some of the best we have ever had anywhere--on a scale of 1 to 10 it was an 11! I had the lobster risotto, my girls had gnocci and a special pizza, and my wife had a chicken marsala dish, cooked perfectly with the chicken right on the bone. The wine selection was good, the atmosphere was very lovely, and it was a memorable experience. We will definitely be back.

Great new menu. We had dinner at the Cellar Door recently. They change their menu, and are now the only steakhouse in the area. I had a rib-eye that was just UNBELIEVABLY good! The outside was properly caramelized, the inside was juicy and cooked to perfection. Without a doubt, this was probably one of the tastiest steaks that I have ever had. Weve been going to Cellar Door for a long time, and the new steakhouse menu gives us something to look forward to that cant be had anywhere else in the local area. Highly recommended...
