I have to share, last night I stopped to purchase dinner for a "sick" friend....got soup and sandwich combination.... Ordered their favorite soup, tomato ravolini - what a disappointment the cup of soup contained 4, yes, 4 ravolinis - lots of liquid, and one tomato.... The sandwich - a caprese - one slice of cheese, one lettuce leave, thick dry bread Needless to say - it was not the treat I nor my friend were looking for.....WORST food I have ever received from this location, from Andersen If they were just closing time I could understand....it wasnt..... Andersen Bakery at Union Landing has far superior quality to any Andersen you will find at the mall. Fresh sandwiches, soups, and an array of wonderful breads are available daily. My favorite BY FAR is there delicious Creamy French. It looks somewhat like a split soft breadstick, but inside is what sets it apart. The cream! The cream is to DIE FOR! I cant explain what makes it so, but its sweet, custard-like center keeps me coming again and again. I seriously cant get enough! Order a few, have them sliced and TRY to bring them home to your family!

Im 100% sure I got food poisoning from this place. I ordered a Turkey Swiss & Avocado sandwich on Saturday evening. I threw up 5 times that night. My wife recalled that the place wasnt too clean. If the front of the house isnt clean, can you imagine what the back of the house is like? I hate to write a bad review for a locally owned and operated company but management needs to step their game up especially when it comes to the health of their clientele.

I absolutely love this place, the sandwiches, pastries, bread, even the regular coffee are excellent. Its an open seating order at the counter type place, but strangely relaxed atmosphere (slow jazz) even more so than a Starbucks Or sit down restaurant. This is as close as youll get to a European cafe on the west coast, and by the way this chain has several locations all over the east bay.

Like the menu options, service is good & friendly, good location & hours, nice desserts & fresh basked bread, free WiFi, nice looking tables & chairs, pleasant atmosphere ... the one thing I dont like are the disposable plates and plastic ware the food is served with. If I could eat the good food on a nice, white ceramic plate and drink a latte out of the same type of mug, Id give 5 stars.

I just love this sandwich bakery. I am not a sandwich person persay, but this place is way better than subway and the taste is way fresher! I have tried different sandwiches and all, no kidding, been good. This place is kept clean which as you know is important. Friendly staff and free refills on your beverages tops off your experience. Buen trabajo mi gente, siempre regresso!

I have been to Andersen Bakery! And I Love the pastries! I go whenever the chance present to! Its a cozy place to bring family for a brunch! I know a few of the employees that work there! Their nice and attentive! Just have a bit patience! Love it!
