Last week I was in San Jose for business. I heard about Mio Vicino in Santa Clara. I went and loved the food. While there I found out there was a second location in Saratoga. It was close to my hotel and I ended up going there the next night. Again, I was really happy with the food and the service. This time I had the Strip Steak. It was great! Being from Texas originally I love steak. This one was right up there as one of the best Ive ever had. Another thing that really impressed me was what I noticed about the owner. He made it a point to talk to every person that came in. He was very personable and made people feel like family, like he had known them forever. Great restaurant!!!

Solid Italian fare with a few standouts, like their grilled polenta with mushrooms and the shrimp pie (pizza full of shrimp.) A lot of good pasta dishes but lacks healthy food options. Wish they would make more greens and varieties of salads available. Stopped their lunch hours so dinner only.

Seems like its hard to find very good lasagne in the South Bay. This is one of the better ones Ive tried. Sauce was too meaty and didnt have enough tomato, but otherwise it was very tasty. Yum.

Fantastic daily specials, the best pizza, and fresh homemade pastas that are delicious! Everyone in my party loved their dishes. Very impressive new entrant to the Saratoga dining scene.

Food was average. Tortellini with chicken was okay, chicken was over cooked a bit and the tortellini was stiff. Service was very slow despite the place being not packed.
