Two words to set this review off: PULL TABS. If you arent familiar with the cash burning lottery ticket variant, good for you. Its probably best you stop reading now and go back to perusing Yelp! for some tasty place to eat or drink........ Pull tabs are slice of cardboard heaven where you purchase a baseball card strip for $1 and proceed to pull ~5 cardboard tabs (go figure?) to reveal if youve won some straight cash (homie) or not. Not available in many of the Milwaukee bars I frequent so it was a pleasant surprise to blow $15 the one night I was in here. I think Yelp should have a filter on whether or not a place has pull tabs. Special treat here... former Packer Gilbert Brown was on them most recently! Perfect spot before or after Bucks game (Bradley Center one block west). I enjoyed the woody decor and copper/tin ceiling. They have trivia one night and have decent nightly specials (check their website). I also read a sign outside that states they have a shuttle to every Brewers home game. I have yet to try this, but plan to as the summer goes on (pull tab machine on the bus???). As far as food goes, I had "The Milltown", a brat on a pretzel bun with Wisconsin cheddar cheese, sauteed onions, and mushrooms. I just realized I love pretzel buns (if you know where to buy some, send me a page and Ill call you back). I had the fries, I just dont remember anything about them because I was so busy with my pull tabs and brat loaded with cheese-mushrooms-onions on a pretzel bun. I also loved how when you order a draught beer (not the larger mugs), they give you two mugs of the stuff (they mustve found the only person in the world likes doing dishes to work in the back?). They serve Lakefront products amongst the mass produced varieties. Overall a nice place to eat sausage, drink beer and pull some tabs. Place is a lot more than just Pull Tabs. I have since branched out to more than just the "Milltown" (its still a classic though). The Cajun or Buffalo chicken are both excellently prepared. The baked beans and potato salad I almost always have to get an extra side of, theyre amazing. Like the famous old Irish bar in New York, McSorelys Old Ale House, they serve you two mugs of beer when you order one (or really punish your liver and get the very large glass mug). Service is down-home friendly (got a free hug from Liz before a Bucks game on Sunday). Even being younger folks, you can tell they care about your experience there, be it before noon (dont judge!) or at 11pm. As dark as a catacomb. My favorite bar/restaurant in Milwaukee.

Worst service ever. I would have loved to have tried their brats...actually had been looking forward to it for some time. So when my husband and I finally were able to go out without our children, we immediately choose the Milwaukee brat house. It was a Tuesday night and not very busy. We had to ask if we needed to seat ourselves, because nobody had welcomed us or even made eye contact when we walked in. Once we had sat, the waiter was extremely rude. Tossed the menus at us and walked away. We had some questions, but it was obvious that we were bothering him. When he did finally come back and answer our question, he said it really fast and walked away. Next thing we knew, there were two beers sitting in front of my husband. We figured he didnt hear that we said 1 beer (because he walked away as we ordered). After waiting for a bit to see if he would back by us, which he didnt, I had to get up and find him. When we asked him why there were 2 beers, he proceeded to explain so fast that this was the way they served their beer (which in normal circumstances is really awesome) and then of course walked away as he was talking. I actually told him to come back and explain what he has just said because I couldnt understand him. In an annoyed and very rude tone, he explained it again and just walked away, without letting us ask any questions if we needed to. Needless to say, that was the last straw. We got up and took our business to Sobelmans. Much better service.

The food here was very delicious. A true Milwaukee experience. I utilized and recommend the create your own menu. It features 5 sausages, over ten toppings, and several cheeses for endless combinations of savory goodness. I got a Polish dog with bacon and mozzarella cheese with the best cheese curds Ive had in my limited time in Wisconsin. Others in my group got a brat, chicken wings, a spicy Hungarian dog, and a burger. All were impressed and extremely satisfied. The curds were so good that we had to get a second round because the first order lasted less than three minutes. I also found the service to be friendly and good. I will make sure I eat here every time I come back to visit. I highly recommend this place.

DO NOT RIDE THE BRAT HOUSE SHUTTLE! IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND THE OWNER IS REFUSING TO GIVE OUT THEIR INSURANCE INFORMATION!!! I do not respect this establishment. My friends and I rode in the shuttle and shuttle driver almost caused an accident when he tried to cut someone off in traffic who had the right of way, which caused everyone on the bus to fall to the floor and my girlfriends neck to hit the metal hand rail on the seat in front of her. She had to be taken on a stretcher by ambulance to the ER. After dozens of repeated attempts to contact the owners/managers we were told that the Brat House was "too busy"

I walked in after a rather bad day with my mom. We sat at the bar and was greeted by a rather surly looking but quite awesome bartender. I said I wanted a beer and needed a brat. After informing us that we came to the right place we ordered. I had 2 brats (was actually WAY too much food, but the pain was totally worth it later on that evening) and 2 beer. Brat #1 was "traditional" with onions, and saurkraut. Brat #2 was with bacon, cheddar, jalapenos, and chili. BOTH came with potato salad. Both are making me consider a random drive from St. Louis to Milwaukee just for them again.

We went on a Tuesday which is Brat Day!!! Lucky Us! This is a bar so its loud and the service wasnt as quick as I would have liked but otherwise it is a good place. The food came out hot, the prices were reasonable, and the brats were delicious. They use Usingers Sausage, which is some of the tastiest meats Ive ever had. (I didnt realize the Usingers factory was right there in Milwaukee or we would have seen about a tour.) The food here made my night and Im so glad we ended our vacation on a good note.

Went to Brat House to watch a Badger football game and just have a few casuals to start a Saturday and ended up staying til close. First time Ive ever been there and Id recommend this place to anyone. Wisconsin charm and feel to the place. Bartenders were extremely friendly and welcoming. Drinks were actually drinks and not soda with a splash. Ill be back

The Southsider Brat ( jalenlenos and cheddar) and the Belly Buster (1 burger and 1 brat party, like an orgy of delicious on a bun) Both are by far, the best bar food Ive ordered in Milwaukee . Plus I ordered a beer, and they poured me two. My kinda place. The staff are amazing, friendly, make you feel like a regular, even if youre just stopping by.
