Worst place with baby or kids!! Dont go here with your children. I disappointed with 2 things at K-peppers. 1. Manager doesnt like kids. Korean owner doesnt repect young kid or babies as his customer. Ive been here 3~4 times with my 1 year-old kid. He said several times to my kid or to me, " Dont touch this accesory or this wall, its too expensive, or keep away your kid from this table. Dont scratch wood table with spoon. blah blah." He looks to think that young kid would damage or destroy his restaurant. I dont understand why he accept young kid or baby with his rude manner. K-pepper would better block young chilldren with his rude manner to his customer. 2. The manager is very rude and not nice to explain restaurants menu. I ordered extra side dish or rice without knowing its not free. If I knew it, I wouldnt ordered. I wonderd after I saw my bill with extra payment. Sinde he hadnt explained there would be extra charge for refill. When I asked him about the bill, and he said the refill policy wass in the menu, but he didnt explain when I ordered and the writing was very small to read. Withouht saying "sorry", he said ingredients of side menu was so expensive. The manager is very rude and not nice to explain restaurants menu. I ordered extra side dish or rice without knowing extra pay. I wondered after I saw my bill with extra payment. He didnt explain there would be extra charge for refill. I asked him, and he said the policy is in the menu, but he didnt explain when I ordered. With his smile, I thought refill was for free. If I knew its not free, I woudnt order it. After all, I found the tiny wring for refill policy on the menu at home. "Youd better explain that extra side menu is not free, when the customer ordered extra side menu" In short, I cant even understand K-peppers rude manners to customers. Do not go here with your kids. When your kids are holding a spoon, he will replace your kids aluminum spoon with to plastic spoon and say "Dont scratch this table, since this table is so expensive"

Went in for a take-out lunch today. First observation is that their menus are very clearly labeled for vegetarian/vegan options, and clearly summarizes the dish for someone who isnt versed on Korean cuisine. I am one such person, my experience with Korean food has been a bowl of "instant" bibimbap and mini fish cakes from a Korean grocery store. So when I was asked if I needed any help, I decided to ask what a good dish for someone like me (lacking experience) would be. I was directed, very helpfully, to the beef bulgogi, and ordered that. The wait was about 15 mins, and while I was waiting, I was offered a sample of their roasted barley tea. It is an unsweetened tea with almost a nutty flavor, reminiscent of sesame, that I very much enjoyed. I sat for a few minutes nursing my hot tea, and eventually my food came. I was instructed (by whom I believe was the owner) on how to carry the bag so as not to spill anything, and was given a description of the side dishes that came with my meal. Took the food home and it was still piping hot when I pulled it out of the bag. Now the important part: the food. The beef bulgogi is delicious, thinly cut tender beef and sautéed veggies. No real "sauce" other than what it was cooked in, so the flavor come straight from the beef and veggies. I also got a side of soup, which I was told rotates flavors daily. Mine was a soybean paste and potato soup with green onions. There are a lot of underlying flavors in there, and alet hough I dont like spicy food overly much, I think the soup could benefit from a dash of spiciness. I also got a side of cucumber kimchi, which I discovered I dont like as much as cabbage kimchi, but you cant win them all. All in all I was pleasantly surprised to find a friendly, helpful atmosphere and delicious food (I had been told by a friend there were no good Korean restaurants in Madison, she was obviously wrong) and look forward to coming back again to try more dishes!

When we got there the place was decently busy. We were seated and started with menus and all that. I was intimidated by the names of the dishes at first but ordering was made easy by having a number next to each name. The menu had a good amount of description. Now it seems to me that the owner reads the reviews and tries hard to work on the points raised in them which is awesome!! For example there was a mom and kid there and the owner made a real effort to be really nice to them and meet all their needs so I wouldnt feel afraid to bring my kid. Heres the things Id wana know if I hadnt been before: "spicy" costs and extra $1, the menu is really easy to order from so dont bother with names, parking is annoying so plan time for that, the wait time pretty low so dont worry about being there long.

Delicious Korean fusion food! My friend and I went there for lunch and had a flavorful meal. She got the chicken Ramyon noodle soup. She ordered it with a level 3 spice and was not disappointed. I went with the pork Bulgari and it was delightful. I chose to go with a level 1 spice level and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. In addition to the mini corn cake, Kim Chi, and broccoli florets that seem to come before each meal, I got a soy based potato soup that was quite delicious. The lunch meal portions were so generous that both my friend and I needed containers for leftovers. The price for 2 people having lunch came in around $$ but we werent looking for budget conscious options. I plan to try more dishes in the future and hope this review inspires others to try this cozy restaurant.

I love K-Peppers... I grew up on Korean food and while it may not quite be my mothers homemade cooking it is still exceptional! There are only 2 places that I know of that specialize in Korean around Madison and this is the nicer of the 2. I LOVE the owner, hes super friendly and has a great sense of humor. The prices are a little on the high side, but maybe its because there are only 2 korean restaurants near Madison and its high in demand... Im from the W. Coast and we had Korean restaurants all over so the prices were a bit more competitive. Overall I would recommend giving this place a try if you like Korean... just thinking about the bulgogi and galbi makes me so hungry!!!! YUMMMMMMM

Im a korean food junkie and i admit that the food is good. Great quality and very tasty. But, they nickel and dime you every chance they get, so i wont go back. They charge for bhap served in a stone pot, extra sauce, and even extra side dishes (which are supposed to be complimentary with korean food.). I feel like the owner is more interested in squeezing extra change from people than providing a good dining experience. Once he even asked me if i could hurry up and finish my meal because i was the only person there and he had an appt to go to. So i was rushed out... Ive given them 4 chances and each time i regret going there. I havent been back for months.
