Late 2016: on our last visit here we were sorely disappointed. The restaurants stand-out dish, jap chae, was a clump of over-cooked, mushy noodles and the dish was light on the beef and low on flavor. Our kanbuki was OK, but again it is obvious that the new owners have distanced themselves from the recipes that made Hana great as the sauce for the wings was interesting but far from the deliciousness we were used to. I know some restauranteurs like to put their own spin on an acquired business, but after our last experience we are not sure we will go back. Aug 2016: Weve been customers at this family-owned local treasure for *years!* Went there yesterday (08/11/16) to find new owners. Fingers were crossed that the owners who had the place for some 30 years passed along their recipes, we ordered all of our favorites...jap chae, stir fried squid, bulgogi, and kanbuki. We were relieved to find that the dishes tasted pretty much the same--DELICIOUS! I have to tell you that weve traveled the world trying Korean food in every city and port that we visit, and we still find Hanas jap chae to be the BEST :) Its a ma-pa kind of place (actually, now it is a brother-sister kind of place), so the focus is on the food, and they do a great job of that. Congrats to the new owners--if they can maintain the quality of service and keep the same taste in the recipes, they are destined for many years of support from satisfied customers like my family.

Ive been going here with my daughter who goes to Michigan for a number of years now. We both love everything weve had here, so tasty and feels like youve eaten something healthy. The service has been always warm and welcoming. I cant pronounce most of the things I eat there I have to point at pictures or just ask for recommendations. Im always satisfied though. So fun to experience other cultures food. I think they also love to share their culture with us too. Not fancy but clean and neat. If youre adventurous give it a try youll become a lover of Korean food too.

The food was wonderful the first time and the 6 times after. When its busy the service can lack but usually because its only one person waiting tables. There are about 14 tables for sit-down and they do have take-out. The bathrooms are clean as well as the rest of the facility. Average meal cost $12. They are open 11-9pm M-Sat, I believe closed on Sunday but Im not totally sure about that. The building looks a bit run down but certainly worth eating here. Theyve gained a regular customer with me and several of my friends.

This location is nothing like it was, when owned by is previous owners! The young people running the restaurant now, dont serve the portion size that I was accustomed to, nor the side items! I was totally shocked to headset that the former owners sold the place. I was a loyal customer when I lived in Ypsilanti, eating at least 1 to 2 times monthly, until moving to Detroit. ILL NEVER GO BACK!

Im a very picky eater, its something that I work on. The reviews for this place Drew me in and oh boy hanas did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious. I ate p much everything. Meals average about 12-18 dollars but completely worth it Also the atmosphere is great. Doesnt look like much on the outside, but very cute and comfy inside. 10/10 so f-ing good!!

Been going there for years now, I grew up on it and now my daughter is growing up on it, we have always been treated with respect. Great food,great service and wonderful memories as well.miss some of the food they used to have like the egg rolls and chicken hibachi. I have and will always recommend this place for good food and good people.

It is not much to look at but the for is very good. The waitress took time to explain the menu to me. They have spicy and non spicy food. This is authentic so if you get fish expect to get some bone pieces. They also give several side dishes so you are very full when you leave. I would recommend if you like trying new foods.

Youd be forgiven for not even noticing Hana, but its your loss if you do. The food is excellent, but this is authentic Korean food, and as such its not for the uninitiated. If possible you should bring someone along who knows what is what and can explain it to you if youve never had Korean food before.

The food here is so good! Its fresh, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked every-time. The server is very sweet and helpful. The environment is charming with good[often classical or oldies] music playing in the background. Ive never had a bad experience here yet. One of my favorite restaurants to go to.

Hungry as f leaving Ann Arbor, I was looking for somewhere to eat. Nothing looked good. I got lost, decided to look up 275 freeway. En route I saw this place on the side of the road. Discovering this restaurant at my hungrier of moments is like finding a rare Pokémon Go. Awesome!!!!

After 30+ years of eating here the place has new owners. They have kept the menu and while I will say a few things have changed slightly, its still probably my favorite place to eat. The pork bokkum is to die for and the sides(banchen) are impossible to match.

Best Kalbi bbq in the state! Kimchi and banchan always great...service occasionally might get a little slow when this place is packed but well worth the wait. Seriously tho...tastes just like my moms cooking. Youll be smacking your lips for sure!

My friends dad has been getting pork bokkeum here for 30 years. He recently tried something else and said it was fantastic, but that hes probably going back to the bokkeum. All the extras that come to the table are excellent. Best tofu period.

I love the Family style service and the food is DA BOM! I used to hang out here after late night classes and made friends with one of the ladies. Never had a bad experience here :) Small mom and pop place.
