Im sorry to post a negative review but I have to say that after two visits, I have been significantly underwhelmed by the service at Sujeo. This is especially disappointing because we are fans of Graze and Estrellón, two other Tory Miller restaurants, and have always enjoyed both the superb food and attentive service at those establishments. On both visits to Sujeo, our food took a very long time to come out and we spent the majority of our visit waiting. Tonights bad service was especially pronounced; the couple next to us was seated before we were and left before their entrees arrived due to the long delay and server neglect. We had to finally ask about our entrees, which then arrived just warmer than room temp. Tasty dishes for sure, but the poor service really put a damper on our night out. The table on our other side was attended to in a timely manner, so I guess at best its hit or miss. Dont get me wrong. The food is delicious, interesting, and thoughtful. The bibimbap, brisket fried rice, and pastrami pho are all incredible dishes, and we appreciate the many locally-sourced ingredients. I would not dissuade you from trying it out; make a reservation and at least you wont have to wait for your table. If you like behind-the-scenes stuff, ask to sit at the Noodle Bar and youll have a front row seat to the culinary action in the kitchen; pretty cool. They also do take out at Sujeo, which would be a way to enjoy the food and bypass the table service altogether. For better or worse, the bar is high for Tory Millers restaurants, and I hope our next visit to Sujeo (not any time soon) is more enjoyable.

I brought my two girls, 2 and 9. They waited patiently for dinner. And waited and waited and waited, for an hour and a half. Drinks took 45 minutes to arrive. Drinks... I think kids should be exposed to versatile restaurants. It gives them the opportunity to learn how to behave in public and be exposed to new foods, but waits like that are ridiculous. We had reservations, we were seated immediately, it was all on the waitstaff and the kitchen. Also, our server, Lauren Oberle-hall, was unengaged and, I hate to say it, incompetent. We sat and waited to be watered and greeted after being seated. And waited, and waited (see a theme here?).Our order was incorrect, she brought Dan Dan Noodles and I had ordered Chinese BBQ Pork Noodles. She took it back and the BBQ Noodles took 45 minutes to come out. Drinks took 45 minutes, and I watched them slowly melt on the side of the bar. Having none of it, I asked the host if she could check if they were ours. They were. The egg rolls app came with our dinner, and the food took forever to come out. All of this with just me and two small children. I feel like a super mom after keeping the kids cool during that dinner from hell.

The staff and the atmosphere of Sujeo were fantastic! Clean and trendy, while still being comfortable. The cocktails were also good, I had a pineapple express-mail while my partner had a mai tai. Both were exactly what we were looking for. The spicy peanuts were a nice starter. Decent portion for the price and very well seasoned. The entre portions, unfortunately, were not up to snuff tonight. We both ordered ramen, I had the Miso while he had the Shio. The Miso lacked any notable flavors and what little chicken that was present was not seasoned and reminded me of Campbells chicken noodle soup, in a non nostalgic way. My noodles were also one huge, tangled, overcooked brick at the bottom of the bowl. The Shio did not have any problems with the noodles, and did have a distinct flavor. Tastes like the ocean, as the menu advertises, actually just tastes like pressed fish cake. So if thats the flavor you are looking for knock yourself out. All in all, the staff gave a good impression that the food didnt stand up for. We may be back for cocktails and to try again, but not in the near future.

If you like a Noodles restaurant/ Panera vibe with more difficult parking, the atmosphere is okay, though you could eat twice at one of those places for what it costs and maybe be as happy. They seem to have stripped away some of the authenticity of Korean food. Banchan is $9 extra, for example. The Kimchi was mid-grade, but edible. The pickled radishes plated with our unusually fatty bulgogi tasted of sulphur and we did not eat them at all, passing an item that we usually eat with enthusiasm. Our brisket fried rice was interesting, comforting, and enjoyable, but very one-note. The brussel sprout appetizer brought joy to the table but the wait for it was almost as long as the wait for our main course, highlighting the absence of banchan to us even more. Drinks were consistent and average for what youd expect. Service was efficient, but not engaging, and clearly there are tensions (or something) in the back being carried around in the hearts of the staff out front. I dont anticipate a second visit.

Food was great! The grilled short rib bulgogi had a very tasty hot sauce & good combos for a lettuce wrap, although some of the pieces of meat were pretty chewy. The khao soi was absolutely delicious, but be prepared to get messy- you pull the meat off the chicken leg in it. The service was subpar though. The hostess continued to tell us "it would only be a few more minutes to get sat;" we were told 20 minutes initially and waited over twice that while watching people walk in and be seated before us. They finally came to seat us & turns out they thought we only wanted a booth in the noodle bar, but we didnt want to be in the noodle bar in the first place. They found us a nice booth in the main room pretty soon after, but it was still disappointing that they didnt attempt to clarify or communicate with us about the wait list. And then the waiter was not very attentive & we were served by at least 3 different people. Be very careful to clarify exactly where you want to & are willing to sit!

Had the chicken ramen. It was a tad on the salty side, but the noodles were good, and there was plenty of meat and vegetables in the soup. The price was a bit high side at $11. Might got back for the dinner menu. Weirdly, for a place with a full bar, the couldnt make a bloody mary. First the server said they didnt make mixed drinks due to the time of day and the day of the week, (2PM on Sunday), and had ask for the managers approval to make one. Then the server came back and they said didnt have bloody ingredients. What???? The server did end up making me a greyhound when I told him to just mix a vodka with grapefruit juice and salt the rim. Funny there was grapefruit, but not tomato juice at a Tory Miller establishment.

The food is great. The waitress was very knowledgeable of their specials. It could have been its own menu. The prices are reasonable. I opted for one of their specials with an assortment of seafood. My only negative review is to fully cook their clams and mussels, so they open up or replace them. I do not mind paying good money towards seafood (prices) but I would expect greater attention to details. I would go back but will deter from their shelled seafood. I recommend their house liquor (I think since their shelves are stocked) Jinro 24 to offset the spiciness of some of their dishes. It is has an interesting calming effect.
