NEVER AGAIN!!! My daughter and grandson (birthday boy) got to Nakashimas and put her name down at 5:35pm... we were seated at 8:00pm. I understand yes they were busy.. but dont tell your customers an hour wait... when it is not realistic!! After I voiced my unhappiness to the manager and waitress our chef did arrive promptly and we received our meal but my daughter had to leave halfway through the meal because she did have to work. You would think arriving at 5:35 you would have enough time to eat and cake before you would have to leave at 8:45pm. Food isnt THAT great for service like that!! Timsans for now on!!!!!!

I used to love this place but its really gone down hill. We walked in and the host basically ignored us. He was leaning his face on his hand the whole time that he talked to us, very unprofessional. He told us to go sit in the bar area because the other side was busy. The bar area was dimmer than usual, probably because of how messy it was in there. We sat down and ordered sushi and a drink. The bartender was rude and told us we had to pay before we even got the food or he needed to hold my drivers license. Just weird. The whole experience was terrible. I will not be going back.

Ive been to both the Nakashima in Green Bay & the one on College Ave in Appleton. The sushi is better in Appleton. They have a bigger selection & it just simply tastes better. Ive only been for Hibachi in Green Bay, which is always good. The chefs are entertaining but the servers seem to be spread out too thin. It takes a long time to get drinks, dessert & even the bill. As far as prices, yes youre going to pay more than at a traitional Green Bay restaurant. But youre partly paying for the experience & to me thats the best part.

Chefs humor is frequently annoying, food is undervalued and the atmosphere is too dark. Room was very cold, felt like 65 degrees. As a former frequent customer, I became fed up with the slow seating speed, watered-down and overpriced drinks. All show and no go. I requested to speak with the manager over my displeasure, but he was cooking at the time. I left my number but was never given a return call. Timsans has better food and is actually appreciative of their customers business and dealing with discrepancies. AVOID THIS PLACE.

"Very disappointing!!". Slowest service we have ever had. 40 minute wait for the drinks we ordered, then informed they did not even have everything that was ordered. One bowl of the soup had hair in it. Had the first course of food before the cold appetizer came, which was supposed to be warm. It was a 3 1/2 hour experience. Brought friends and family from out of town & state because it is usually exceptional. The grilled food was very good, too bad the service was not. I was quite embarrassed considering we went on my referral.

Nakashima is one of out favorite places to eat. This particular time we had a new waiter and chef. The chef was ridiculously slow and burnt our first shrimp. We also ordered 6 extra flaming shrimp and they gave us 6 orders of the shrimp instead. When we talked to the manager about the extra $15 charge he insisted their was nothing they could do. I was very disappointed that one of the most expensive restaurant in green bay couldnt do anything. We will no longer give them our business.

this place was the worst japanese hibachi style restaurant Ive ever eaten at. the food was too salty and very unflavorful. at a japanese hibachi style restaurant terriyaki sauce is unormally used to prepare the food along with little amounts of soy sauce where as here only soy sauce was used, large amounts of it may I add. the service was pleasant but the food was very undesirable. I would highly recommend white rice to go along with the meal to off set the copious amounts of salt.

Definitely my favorite place to eat in Green Bay. The one in Appleton will always be a little more special to my wife and I, but its nice to have a location much closer to home. We only go for the sushi, so I cant speak for the hibachi, but the sushi is excellent. More of a traditional approach than Kokos or even Little Tokyo, but I prefer it that way. The beef sashimi is always a crowd pleaser. The drink selection is good as well. Definitely recommended!

I have been to Nakashimas a few times before this last visit. The service has really gone down hill. After we stood waiting for ten minutes for someone to greet us we were told it will be a "five to ten minute wait". We waited for close to 20 before we were brought to our table. The drinks we ordered took another 15 minutes. And that was the last we saw our waitress untill the bill came. Sorry to say, I will probablly not return for quite some time.

This is my favorite place to eat in Green Bay, WI. The food has always been great and I have never eaten a single bad bite at Nakashimas. This is the type of restaurant where it is SUPPOSED to take a longer time to get your food and enjoy yourself. That is the whole point of a hibachi style restaurant. The last few times I have gone we have had the same chef, and it was a few months apart each time. He is wonderful and I cant wait to go back again!

Arrived at 5:10, finally got drinks 5:35 and sushi at 6:37 - waitress had nothing to say. I had to ask for salad. soup and fried rice bc kids were starving. It was so dark we couldnt read the menu - had to use camera phone LOL As an avid sushi fan, I do NOT recommend this place. Its not just the slow/poor service (from multiple wait staff) but limited menu and variety. No fruit rolls for example, limited sauces and options.

Expensive subpar sushi, only go if you want hibachi. The tuna on top of the rolls looked liked wet cat food paste & was so gross! Some of the other roll were ok but not worth $14. I currently live in Washington state and love sushi so maybe Im spoiled with fresh fish but this was bad sushi. If you want good sushi go to Little Tokyo or Kokkos. The only reason Id go back is for hibachi.

Good sushi. Great sushi prices, cheapest or 2nd cheapest in town. Do not eat the raw scallop roll, as I suspect it caused a 7 day stint of food poisoning. Slow carry out. I love that Nakis lets you eat sushi at the hibachi tables if you have a mixed group. Great bar and lounge area with live music each week. Great place for girls night out...within walking distance to west side bars.

If you want great tasting & great quality sushi, Nakashima is the place! The rice is mixed perfectly, the fish is fresh, the combinations for the speciatly rolls are perfect!! You cant go wrong with any rolls or nigiris here! Ive been to many sushi restaurants near and far and find myself always comparing it to Nakas (& always disappointed in those other restaurants).
