Ninja is a quaint restaurant nestled in downtown EC that offers Asian fusion as well as sushi and traditional Japanese cuisine. Sugar-coat that with a full bar menu, including sake. A fellow patron enjoyed an extra dirty martini with Grey Goose Vodka. The nearly packed crowd is comprised mainly of hip youth indicative of a vintage yet blossoming collegiate community. Vibrant signage and oriental motifs enhance the ambiance as the patrons indulge in REAL sushi dishes. You have a choice of tables or booths, but could also belly up to either the sushi bar or wet bar. People have often heard of the mythos surrounding Christmas village displays. They say that when no one is looking, the villages are alive with people bustling about like in real-life communities. Gazing at the view outside, I wondered if I was actually in one of those village displays with specialty shops, bars, and a movie theater lit up and everything under the heavy accent of snow to usher in the week before the main event on Sunday. Personally, I think this restaurant caters to couples, young or old, or small groups no bigger than 6-8 people. Im sure all ages are welcome, but be weary of the attention span of children and how long gazing into an aquarium will last. I would rate this a second or third date hotspot. In short, awesome atmosphere, awesome staff, and awesome food. If you need a local sushi fix, any time of year, Ninja is your place.

Went to Ninja today with my friends and I have to say I was very disappointed. The MaPo Tofu was overly mushy and bitter, the Yakitori was salty and over cook very tough to chew and swallow. When it came to actually ordering food it took them roughly 30 mins to finally bring majority of the order and an additional 10- 15 mins to finally bring a very plain and overly sweet Lo Mein which had no accompaniment of vegetables. Although majority of meal wasnt very good we only requested to send back one item; the MaPo Tofu which they took and sat aside in the kitchen . When we finally got our bill we noticed they still have the Tofu listed on the bill (even though we only tried 3 pieces of tofu) she told us they will not give us a refund for the dish. She went on too tell us that "everybody" likes that dish and if she were to take it off the bill it would open the door for other dishes to be taken off in the future. Needless to say we will not be going back to order from them again. After 10 mins of practically arguing with the manager I finally got her to take the item off the bill.. Save your time and money and find a better place to eat like "Egg Roll Plus" small but better!!!!

Ive eaten at Ninja 5 times so far this year and have enjoyed each meal. Food = 4.5 stars Service = 3.5 stars Atmosphere = 4 stars The food was always good. Ive loved everything but the portions arent always what Id hope for considering the price. The sushi is overall the best in Eau Claire, though not the best Ive ever had. The service staff are hard working. You can really tell they take pride in their work and take ownership of their business. However, they are commonly short staffed during peak times which can mean that service isnt immediate. This seems to be a decision made by management and not the people serving the food. I try to tip handsomely because of this. The small wait during peak times gives you and your friends and chance to socialize and enjoy the atmosphere. I really enjoy Ninja as do my friends. I would encourage everybody to check it out.

Great ambiance, very modern but tasteful retro asian decor made it interesting and fun. Service was friendly and quick. Fried calamari appetizer was tasty, fresh and not greasy. The sushi "Love Boat" for two was enough sushi for 4 of us. All raw seafood and sushi was fresh. The non-seafood/sushi items are all very flavorful and tasty too, so you dont need to be a sushi/seafood fan to eat here, there are plenty of options for everyone. Desserts are great, try the mochi! Prices are very reasonable. Very clean. I lived on the East Coast for the past 12 years and this is better than any comparable Asian restaurant there.

We both got sick after! Went here on a date and we were never given any silverware or napkins, after getting our food the waitress walked away without giving us the chance to ask. After a few minutes we grabbed some from the open table next to us. We both had gotten sushi and and an main course. My chicken curry was very bland and I can make it better myself. As for the sushi, Ive had better from grocery stores. Never going back

We had heard many positive things about Ninja and finally got to discover for ourselves on October 11, 2016. I love the fun downtown location. My husband and son chose numerous specialty sushi rolls for their meals and loved them all. I decided to go Chinese with the General Tsos Chicken . . . loved it! The highlight of my evening was the Ninja Martini (with ginger). It was absolutely fantastic!

Went here for the first time a week ago, which is a shame since Ive live here for nearly 2 years. By far the best Chinese in the area. Service was fantastic, our waiter was prompt and very courteous. The food itself was great. My friend had the General Tsos and I had the Orange Chicken, which is hit and miss for me at other places, but we were in no way disappointed. Absolutely would recommend.

Most desisting food and customer service Ive ever had. Im from a very, very small town and we only have two Chinese food restaurants and one Japanese restaurant and they are far better then this. Beef lo main.....How do you mess that up? Everything had far to much breading and was just nasty I ended up throwing all my food away. Never again sad to because I just moved so close.

Looked like a really cool place, but sushi and service was below par. Nothing great about sushi, tested blah and some tasted like they were spoiled. The waitress was clueless, delivering the food so one of our party had to watch the rest eat as they hadnt delivered his food. Left garbage on our table, even after she grabbed plates. Not impressed. Go somewhere else.

The Seafood combination. One tiny bit of lobster. The imitation crab was mushy and the sauce tasteless. We mentioned this two months ago as well. The owner said next time to order and king crab and expect to pay much more. Imatation crab meat is not real crab and should be on the menu as such. WTF??? I might add that everything else was very good.

I go to this restaurant regularly (about 2x per month), lunch, dinner, appetizer at bar. Service and food consistently impeccable - and Im a picky restaurant patron. If you are not happy with some aspect of food or service....say something! They will make it right for you if they are able.

Best vegetarian Sushi I have ever had. Not only was it surprisingly well priced ($5 for the rolls), but it was extremely creative with a wonderful depth a flavor. An amazing atmosphere and quick service, Im going to be sure to come back again and again.
