Only visited twice so far. Once for a meal and once for a take out pizza. The meal was good although a bit different for me coming from an Italian place, or what I expected is Italian. I had a flattened chicken breast that was battered with a side of rigatoni in sauce. This came with a small potato with asparagus. I actually had no real idea what I was getting, especially since the menu stated a side of pasta came with the dinner. I expected some pasta dish with chicken and potato some how all mixed up like your typical spaghetti and meatballs. So two separate starches surprised me when the plate came. I enjoyed the chicken, and the small bowl of pasta, the sauce was very tasty. The asparagus was crisp but delicate and I enjoyed that as well. The potato was odd to me but I still ate it. Its flavor was good but did not seem to line up with the rest of the meal. I also decided on desert which I regretted even more when I realized it was $7. It was a red velvet cake of individual proportion. Presentation seem nice as it was like a triple layer that went from red to pink to a lighter pink with a whip cream frosting in between each layer. The flavor was faint and the actual cake seemed a bit stale. They didnt have a cheese cake so. The pizza I ordered was their margarita style. I got it back to the the residence and it had all smeared to one side of the box as if I carried it like a suit case, total bummer. I tried to make the best of it but it was a mess. There was way more ingredients on this thing than I expected and it was quite heavy. The flavor was good but because of the mess, it wasnt very enjoyable. So Ill have to try it again and perhaps not get it to go. Just based on these two visits, I cant say much but I will say it is way better than Undos in the Holiday inn down the street. Parking is limited in this small shopping complex and this place always seems to have a dinner crowd. It would be nice if there were some shops for window shopping after dinner, to stroll around to aid in digestion a bit but this is really the only place in this little section. So go for dinner the go home :-)

We called ahead since reservations are not taken. We were told on the phone that a table would be ready for us upon arrival. However, when we arrived the restaurant was completely full as a large party of 20 had been seated. The restaurants capacity is roughly 50 people at max. We spoke to a gentleman at the hostess stand who stated we would have the next table. He then disappeared for the next half hour. After 30 minutes we spoke up when a party who had arrived after us was seated. The hostess/manager stated that we were still on the call ahead list but hadnt been moved to the actual list as she wasnt informed of our arrival. We were finally sat after waiting roughly 40 minutes. However, after another 15 minutes our server had not come to our table to even get our drink order. We again voiced our need for service, and the server promptly came over. We placed our drink orders and meal orders without incident; however, due to the large party we didnt receive our food for about 45 minutes. I had the chicken, but the breast was the smallest one I have ever received at a restaurant as it was roughly 2X2 inches. The manager stated that she would pay for our dessert if we decided to partake. This is why I gave 2 stars instead of just one. We bypassed dessert since we had already been there over 2 hours. We do not plan on going back.

I was there for our lunch break on Thursday of last week.i was there with 2 other co-workers.first let me say that the atmosphere was nice , the prices moderate to high. the food was good, however the server was left to be desired. we had 3 separate people , and 3 separate bills. the server when asked about the sauce or should I say lack of it , told me that she could not read minds. this server was training another younger server, and the trainee was very professional it should of been the younger one training the older server. then to top it off they tried to overcharge us on the bread with-out admitting there mistake. we had 6 pieces of bread between 3 people, manager admitted each individual customer gets 2 pieces, but still tried to over charge us. after realizing we could do math simple math , and only then she took the extra charge off the bill. we didnt like looked at as fools! guess again!

Simply wrong, should have turned around even before seating us! The attitudes towards us was extremely UNPROFESSIONAL! We waited for about 20 minutes to be seated which was ok - but one of the waitresses friends came in and was going to be seated before us until we said something. After being seated was asked what we wanted to drink by one person and then another person came and asked what we wanted to eat and we werent ready to order and then a 3rd waitress came over to take our order and asked what we wanted to drink and I told her we already had a drinks and she said well since someone already helped you I cant help you and you will have to wait until she comes back. After listening to the manager tell another employee she ran someones credit card to many times in front of everyone in the restaurant and being told I cant take your order we were done.

Oh my goodness! Thanks for FINALLY getting a GOOD Italian restaurant in Weirton. WOW... love it there, tried many things, all have been good. And YES, they have placemats and bread plates. And besides, I would rather have no placemats and bread plates and GREAT food, than bad food and a bread plate. So, shame on all you people who are so petty and ignorant not to be grateful for a new place in Weirton. And absolutely great authentic Italian food. Service is good, creative and big menu, great desserts. Thank you LaCucina for wonderful food.

The restaurant seems to be having problems with staff 2 servers. Something was said by the owner then there was one owner was yelling at the 1 server because she had not gotten the table their drinks, there were 5 tables 1 server , second server comes I. Owner has conflict with him he walks out. Now there is 7 tables 1 server. Owner only served drinks owner Michele need to help her staff its her profit but I guess it was above her instead she was yelling at them were we could all hear her lovely dinning

Excellent place! The service was fantastic, the atmosphere was very nice, and the food... OUT OF THIS WORLD! The appetizers were really good (bread, house salad, wedding soup, and a breaded rice ball). The entrees were fantastic! The chicken Parmesan was very big and has a light breading with juicy chicken. The pasta was also good. Everything had great flavor and was fresh and made daily... No frozen food! The waitress and owner were very attentive the whole time. I highly recommend La Cuchina.
